Unico bajon, falto Nauj Wirro creo q si estaba el, muchos de nosotros estariamos en cana. esperamos tu vuelta señor Nauj.

I have to be honest, I have known Zakk Wylde for a number of years and I love the guy to death…but for some reason, nothing with Zakk ever goes smoothly. I knew in the back of my mind when I accepted this assignment, I was walking into a trap.

Ruin Magazine had hired me to do a shoot with Zakk at his home. Off the bat I was a bit worried about not being on neutral ground – Zakk had the hometown advantage. I made a deal with Rick, the magazine’s editor, that we would go together and stick together – no matter what happened. What should have been a one hour shoot came in at a whopping nine and a half hours. To make a very long story short, Rick and I were tested in every way imaginable and pushed to our limits.

Imagine having to bench press freeweights before we can get strarted; imagine having to drink countless bottles of beer when you don’t really drink; imagine having to wear lucha libre wrestling masks while chatting with Zakk as he wears a leather gimp mask; imagine watching Zakk pump iron until he screamed in pain; imagine watching Rick get his face shoved and licked up by a British Bulldog as he is forced to do leg lifts; imagine being shanghaied and taken to a seedy biker bar for hours on end for more drinking; imagine having to pick up the tab at that bar after all that drinking; imagine driving up a mountainous dirt road in pitch blackness in the heaviest rains we had seen in years; imagine being caught in a mudslide and nearly flipping my SUV; imagine going through all of this and yet, in the end, receiving the warmest hugs and kisses from Zakk Wylde.

That was our day, that was our night. And you know what? I would have been disappointed if it happened any other way. That’s Black Label.

Well, this is quite a departure from covering W.A.S.P's "L.O.V.E. Machine" and Iron Maiden's "The Prisoner". Fozzy decided to stop being a "joke" band and get serious with this album and it ends up with some good results. The hair metal & 80s metal inspirations are mostly gone and in their place is some solid modern heavy metal, alternative metal & hard rock. Most of these songs would song right at home on rock radio. I believe "Enemy" did actually chart for a little bit, and for good reason, it's the album's best song. My second favorite would be "It's a Lie" (even though it's rap-metal, something I was totally shocked to see Jericho doing).

I still haven't picked up Fozzy's 2nd album, Happenstance, but perhaps someday I will because I enjoyed their first release and I enjoy this one as well, even though it took me a while to get into the new sound of Fozzy.

Not sure if I got the band credits correct, I've only got the CD on me (the jewel case & booklet are in storage) and I couldn't find a definitive band line-up for this album online anywhere. If anyone knows any different, feel free to let me know.

Sometimes when we are listening to music, what the artist says or "means" isn't always what is processed by our brains. I've taken some of my favorite lyrical fluffs and edited out of the original sound source for everyone to listen to some of the most misheard and unexplained lyrics that... just don't make any sense.

Listen to these sound clips and try to figure out what is being said, and then see if your ears hear the same as I do with these commonly and uncommonly, misheard lyrics! You won't listen to these songs the same way ever again.

1. Panama by Van Halen; from the album "1984." Click here to listen

The lyrics are/supposed to be "Hot shoe, burnin' down the avenue," but instead of "hot shoe," to it sounds like "hot Jew."

Either way, it just works in the end. David Lee Roth is Jewish and no doubt would be happy to see a hot Jew, burnin' down the avenue.

This one is very easy to hear. In fact, it's actually a bit of a joke on the internet. The first time I heard this song, I seriously swore he was saying "Liberate... BANANAS!"

I sat there over and over listening to it trying to figure it out, but the initial thought of mine wouldn't get out of my mind! I finally had to get on the internet and find the real lyrics, because nobody knows what it really is, even Corey Taylor himself.

Turns out the real lyric is "liberate my madness," but I think liberating bananas is a more preferable action.

3. Jerry Springer by "Weird Al" Yankovic; from the album "Running with Scissors." Click here to listen

Now when I first got the CD that this song is on, 'Running with Scissors,' I truly believed that he was saying "monster fucking drag queen," and quiet frankly, I still think thats what it is.

Think about it, as Bart Simpson says, no one expects the butterfly to do anything bad. It's a perfect opportunity for family friendly Weird Al to put something out there that is dirty as hell. The 'supposed' lyric is "Unsuspecting drag queen" but my theory stands. I mean, just listen to it. It can't be denied.

Yeah, yeah, it really is just the last few sentences or so, but I just wanted to make you read it; Long story short, it really does sound like he's saying PEANUT BUTTER IN THE GUTTER.

5. Suicide Messiah by Black Label Society; from the album "Mafia." Click here to listen

The lyrics are/supposed to be "bow down, you've chose your maker," but it's a universal fact that it is actually "bow down to Joe Jamaica"!

The funny part about the clip is, they actually do say 'Joe Jamaica' sometimes live. True story, it was told by Nick Catanese, one of the guitarists in the band. I can't listen to the song anymore without having that play in my head, despite the fact that when they recorded it, it was really 'chose your maker.' The backstory is someone came up to Zakk and said "I like the song... but who is Joe Jamaica?"

Needless to say, that's how the whole inside joke started when playing it live.

6. New Religion by Black Label Society; from the album "Shot to Hell." Click here to listen

This song has basically an identical backstory as the lyric line in "Suicide Messiah": It's actually "my new religion is new, new, new." But, they sing it live sometimes singing "my new religion is Jew (Jew... Jew... Jew... Jew.)

It's pretty funny, and besides, I've always wanted a reason to yell "JEWWWW!!!!" at a concert. There's a whole lot of "JEW" in this article.

7. Highway to Hell by AC/DC; from the album "Highway to Hell." Click here to listen

All right, I saved this one for last because I can't explain it. The lyrics say it's: 'season ticket on a one way ride' but god damn it, It sounds like something else. Let me explain before you let your imagination run wild with it; Bon must have been completely drunk while singing this song lyric.

I don't know which is funnier, the fact that it actually sounds like 'season nigger on a one way ride,' or them printing up the lyrics with something that isn't even close to what it's supposed to be. The least they could have done was freakin' tried to figure out another word that would fit in there, you know, a word that is close to the "'iga" sound he is making.

Actually, I like the ability to joke on it and it should stay exactly the way it is.

There was a lot of hype about Ozzy’s new guitarist, Zakk Wylde. It had been some time since we had a true guitar God in the mix with Ozzy. The connection that I saw between them that night made me realize that we, as rock fans, were finally accepting the death of Randy Rhoads. It was time to move on. Poor Jake E. Lee seemed to get the short end of the stick. Maybe he had just come onto the scene too close to Randy’s death to ever get a fair shot – much like Jason Newsted entering Metallica after Cliff’s horrible death.

For some reason there was no photo pit that night and I was forced to shoot from the crowd, smashed up against the stage. We were all so crammed together that I could barely load a roll of film at one point. To make things worse, I was fighting with my camera equipment that night – it was falling apart - literally. All the years of taping the camera body to my neck in order to smuggle it into shows was finally taking its toll – the base plate was falling off and some of the cameras “guts” were being exposed. I had to hold the bottom together with one hand while I focused, zoomed, metered and shot with the other hand. I didn’t even have fast lenses back then, they were all f5.6 lenses. How I made it through some of these shows still amazes me today.

I have always loved this series of images. I had hoped that this sequence of shots could have been laid out like this in a tour program or in a magazine spread, but only a couple of them were ever used – always individually, never together. So this one is for me - call me greedy. I think this series of images brings out the energy and bond between Ozzy and Zakk. They just clicked right away, like Ozzy and Randy did. The magic immediately returned when Zakk entered Oz.  His much needed energy, angry style and no frills attitude were exactly what Ozzy needed to move on to the next level.

If you use a Marshall it is because you recognise it as a high quality product.
You get what you pay for and Marshall = Quality.
As a result of this policy, Marshall has rarely done signature amplifiers (special edition amplifiers bearing the name of a well know player) in the past.

This all changed in 1996, and since then Marshall has produced a number of signature amplifiers.
This change may have occured due to changes in the market (with every brand associating themselves with famous musicians by releasing a signature product); Perhaps signature products are better advertisements and helps build a clearer brand identity; Or even maybe its because signature products often sell better than regular products.
All these factors certainly contribute to why Marshall have decided to do signature amplifiers. Below, I will list some of the most significant signature amplifiers.

1996 saw the Slash signature. Based on an older model of amplifier named the Jubilee (a silver amplifier produced for Marshall's 25th anniversary) but repackaged like a classic Marshall amplifier (black) and bearing the name/logo of Slash, guitarist of Guns n Roses. Only 3000 units were produced.

2002 saw Zakk Wylde's turn (guitarist of Ozzy Osbourne and his own band Black Label Society). The amp was based on the JCM800, but featured a few cosmetic differences (such as vintage spec. aesthetics, and a control plate with engraved bullseyes).

2006 produced the Jimi Hendrix amp. Modelled after the late 60s amp that Hendrix used, this amplifier features the classic Marshall look and sound. Also significant is that this amplifier is completely handwired (as they would have been in the 60s). Limited to 600 units.

2007 saw a existing Marshall product redesigned into a signature. The micro stack (a mini version of a Marshall stack amplifier) was given a new look and named the Zakk Wylde micro stack. Although this amplifier was originally made for the budget market, Marshall caught wind that Zakk Wylde was using it as a warm up amplifier before playing live. The price and feature of the amp stayed the same, the only thing that changed was the name and the aesthetics.

2007 produced a Kerry King amp (guitarist of Slayer). Based on the JCM800, it not only featured cosmetic differences, but the amplifier had some extra features built in to it (more control over gain, an eq and a noise gate). Unlike other signature products which are limited in quantity, the Kerry King model is in current production. This fact was a deal breaker for King who understood that signature products are aspirational products which should be made available to all rather than collectors.

2008, in conjunction to the previous years Kerry King signature amplifiers, Marshall releases the Kerry King practice amplifier. A small solid state amplifier targeted at the budget market.

2008 unveiled a Randy Rhoads amp (guitarist of Ozzy Osbourne during the 80s who tragically died). This amp was based on the classic Marshall 100 watt 1959SLP model. It featured a white exterior as opposed to black. Limited (quantity unknown)

Released two weeks ago! A Lemmy signature (bassist and frontman of Motorhead). A replica of Lemmy's own (heavily modified) Marshall amplifier he has nick named Murder One.

The 80s (what I call the modern era of Marshall) marked a few changes to Marshall's identity.

In Rock music, the two genres that now dominated was Punk and Metal; Classic Rock or Heavy Metal in the vain of Hendrix and Led Zeppelin was not popular anymore. Marshall were not adopted by the Punk scene for various reasons (such as them being an established brand for Classic Rock), however Marshall and Metal were a match made in heaven (or hell).
Marshall had been the loudest and most powerful brand around, but that was it. This quality of power suited Metal music well, and the association between the two meant some of the qualities of Metal rubbed off on to Marshall, such as aggression. Marshall became a brand who weren't just physically loud, but in attitude as well. The combination of Marshall and Metal would be led during the 80s by stalwarts such as Judas Priest and Motorhead; but also some newer bands who would find fame in the decade such as Iron Maiden and Def Leppard.

Marshall's identity expanded, but at a cost.
The bands mentioned above are British, but Metal music was influencing many across the pond in the US who would become leaders of this new wave of Metal.
American bands like Slayer, Metallica, Megadeth and Anthrax became big players within Metal and they all used Marshall amplifiers in the beginning, (Slayer guitarist Kerry King is a familiar face of Marshall today), while others such as Randy Rhoads (an American guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne) made his mark as well. A musical instrument company like Marshall relies heavily on associations with famous musicians. As Metal became more American, so did the identity of this British brand.

The rest of the 80s would only reinforce the new identity as Marshall was adopted by two more significant American guitarists who have since become faces of the brand.
Zakk Wylde, guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne after Randy Rhoads passed away.
Slash, guitarist for Guns n Roses, a band which were heavily influenced by British Rock, but ultimately embodied the new style of American Rock of the late 80s.

In a survey carried out during April 2008, I asked 263 non guitarists found from various places (who recognised the Marshall brand) whether they thought Marshall were British or American.
68% (179 answers) thought they were American.

Ozzy Osbourne, Zakk Wylde e Kevin Churko formam o trio que compôs quase todos as faixas do álbum intitulado Black Rain, lançado em meados de 2007. É simplesmente um dos melhor títulos lançados nos últimos anos, a última vez que escutei algo por tantas semanas sem enjoar foi King Diamond com Puppet Master. Se você aceitar o meu conselho comece escutando com a pérola I Don't Wanna Stop.

4- No final do show o Palestra Itália em um só coro pede "One More Song", se via claramente na cara do Príncipe das Trevas que ele ficou tentado a cantar mais uma música.

Um agradecimento mais que especial ao MEGA-BOGA Salay, por além de ter feito eu ir ao show, ajudar a gente muuuiiiitoooo no show em Sampa, ter enviado as fotos do Rio e ter a boa vontade de para para escrever durante a realização do maior sonho de sua vida, O CARA É F*DA! Ao Almir por todo carinho, e como disse ao vivo, virou irmão, não se esqueça. Ao Darthjee, por depois de um dia de trabalho, ter deixado a namorada em casa, ficar recebendo e-mails e postando no blog. Ao Maury por dar AQUELA força na hora de mandar e tirar as fotos durante o show, o cara corria de um canto para o outro para tirar as melhores fotos! Foi um prazer do c*ralh* fazer isso com meus amigos, conhecer novos amigos e ver quanta gente ficou envolvida nisso tudo. Animal! Muito ogrigado a todos por tudo que fizeram, e agora, quando fechar meus olhos e dormir, posso afirmar que todos os esforços valeram muito a pena!
