En primer lugar, una vez que hayamos elegido el video que queremos mostrar, p. ej.

Vemos que tenemos un boton llamado "embed", pues clikando en el nos aparecera todo el codigo HTML que tendremos que poner en nuestro blog. Si hacemos este, o por lo menos en mi caso, no nos aparecera el citado video, y si un enlace hasta la pagina de vimeo donde se encuentra alojado. Lo que tenemos que hacer es seleccionar todo ese texto y pegarlo en algun editor de texto. Una vez hecho esto, buscaremos la siguiente linea de codigo : "http://www.vimeo.com/1130766?pg=embed&sec=1130766" , este numero que aparece al final del enlace, es el numero del video, si pegais en un navegador (firefox, ejem) en la barra de direcciones esto "http://www.vimeo.com/1130766" ireis directamente a la pagina con el video.

Pues bien, teniendo ya esto, solo nos queda cambiar el modo de edicion en wordpress de VISUAL a HTML, y pegarlo entre corchetes para mostrar nuestro video.

Por cierto, muy bueno el video.

Lo bueno es que ya es viernes, necesito descansar, siento que mi puerquecito ya esta en las ultimas.

Pasando a otra cosa, pensaba y pensaba, en vez de trabajar, de que hablaran mis post, bueno como veo que de los que estamos aqui, soy el que se pasa mas tiempo en la red, pense:

Absenta, eres un hombre o un raton......? Y luego cai (plop) en la conclusion que no tenia nada que ver con esto, así que decidí que les traere noticias generales, principalmente creepys o interesantes, y conclui que si el Sir es la parte geek de Nippix, Tamagochi la parte melomana (bueno en eso casi todos), por que no combinamos las dos partes y obtenemos esto:

Es un mixer, o mesa mezcladora, como las que usan los Dj's, cual es su gracia??, bueno es Open Suorce (¿?) Es decir: Hagala usted mismo, (nota para los geeks: No jodan con terminologia acerca de qué es open source, ya se que no es hagalo usted mismo, pero no explicaremos eso aqui para eso esta stay geek y jambitz), en las ligas (toing!!!) tienen tanto la pagina oficial, como una galeria en flick para verla, asi como los planos y las especificaciones para poder construirla, el software tambien es gratis y lo pueden descargar....o si no entienden ni madres de electonica tambien pueden pedirla ya armada.

Necesitamos una de estas para las futuras reuniones nippixeras. La rolita esta mas o menos, pero demuestra su funcionamiento.......la verdad si quiero una, se imaginan como se escucharía con Ramon Ayala pasando a Los Askis uuuuhh, eso es trance y no chingaderas.

Hier das versprochene Video von der Ed Hardy Modenschau auf der Bread & Butter in Barcelona letzte Woche. Bei dieser Gelegenheit wird auch gleich mal das Video-Portal Vimeo getest, dass einen höheren Upload als YouTube usw. bietet. Die Bildqualität ist recht gut, nur ruckelt das Video ab und zu. Die Tonqualität ist nicht so gut, was aber eher am Camcorder lag, bei dem es keine manuelle Tonaussteuerung gab.

All joking aside, I do kind of admire what Matt Harding has done.  He's travelled to some pretty neat places and created 3 pretty neat videos of his travels and his awful dance.  Mind you, it's exactly that bad dance that allows you to pick him out of a crowd.  Talk about intercultural interaction, though.  Dance as a universal language and a universal joy.  That's awesome.  I know I'm saying that Matt dances poorly, but I'm sure I'd be a lot worse.

Just today, his video has been talked about in the mainstream media.  There was an article about him in the Vancouver Sun and I came across a second one in The Tyee.  However, his videos have been online for quite a while.  I wonder how the media got wind of this anyway?

When I was a young lad I lived in a town bordering Canada named Fair-Haven in Michigan. Thanks to the Catholics, every year Michigan celebrated a holiday known as "fat-tuesday", an excuse to eat every fattening food your little heart desires. The greatest and most well-known of these fattening foods is a Polish pastry known as a "Paczki" (pronounced Punch-key or POONCH-kie). This dough delight is fried and filled with flavored cream while topped with sugar or icing (thank you Poland).

The paczki became a regular term within my family and we began to expand it's use from just a polish pastry into a noun, a verb, an adverb, and a witty insult. We even condensed the word down to "poonch" in order to quickly baffle others in conversation.

A typical conversation in our home became...

"whatcha up to poonch?"
"nothin', jus' poonchin' around"
"bro, your such a poonch"
"your mom's a poonch"

I even went as far as renaming my dog, previously named Victoria, to "Poonchface". As well as bringing the word into my freshmen year, where it would remain until graduation among me and my closest friends. It was during this time I realized I had come across a word without bounds or linguistic laws, a universal word. A word that would contend with the most prestigious internet slang known to date, words like Google, Twitter, Seesmic, Vimeo, and Issuu. These words are all products of experimental and creative brainstorming and that is what makes them achieve greatness. However, an entirely new word has hit the scene, and this word is here to stay.

When I saw an article on C-Net about the new-generation TeraByte Hard-drive I confess that I asked myself: "Why so much?" (I asked the same question 5 years ago when my friend bought a 250GB HD).

No, I'm not getting old, I'm asking again because 5 years ago we didn't have Gmail, Flickr and neither YouTube.

Since 2006, I think I've downloaded about 10 or 15 albums. Not too much, and do  you know why? I just listen to the music on my mp3 player on my way to work, and here I listen everything online. Yes, 100% online.

Same for my pictures and videos. I just get the best of them and upload on YouTube and Flickr. If I want to watch something cool I can easily find there, or on Vimeo, Metacafe, DailyMotion.. whatever! After watching I get the link and send to all my friends. I don't need to attach a 5MB file in my email. I also love to embed videos on my Blog. It's dead easy and I don't need to store that giga video.

We are digital immigrants and sometimes we may keep their files saved on our computers, some may keep some dvds and blu-ray disks on their shelves. That's because our clients still don't trust the internet, and because we are still not connected all the time (most of them, but not all).

Maybe I'm just a passionate geek that loves the internet, but it's even more common to keep your files stored online. Even my mum' sends me YouTube links! Everybody is sharing, publishing and commenting.

Yes, afterall we may need some space.
