Tinfinger vasculha dados sobre “famosos” onde “famosos” means that you’re mentioned in news stories or important blogs. People who participate in major sporting leagues, get their scientific dissertations published in journals like Nature, hold high office in a political party, are prominent members of a religion, hold executive-level jobs at a company, appear in court, create works of art, are associated with one or more technologies, or are just your every day celebrity… all of these people qualify.

Unlike a typical search-engine, Pipl is designed to retrieve information from the deep web, our robots are set to interact with searchable databases and extract facts, contact details and other relevant information from personal profiles, member directories, scientific publications, court records and numerous other deep-web sources.

If you wanted proof you can still make money off the internet without a fancy 'web 2.0' looking site, look no further. Paul Montgomery founder of Aussie Startup Tinfinger is reporting:

"Knapp Communications, based in the inner-city Sydney suburb of Surry Hills, has sold the bicycle news Web site cyclingnews.com to UK-based Future Publishing for £2.2 million (A$5.2 million, US$4.4 million)."

Im sure the content is great, but geez that is one ugly looking site.
