Ladies and gentlemen, we've reached the end of our journey. It took me 20 days to watch 60 episodes of Supernatural, 20 days which I'll never get back. Admittedly, it's been fun. Particularly since I am now super dosed up on adrenalin - and I can actually see the new episode, sitting there and taunting me with the shiny. But alas, I promised myself I'd finish reviewing before watching. So if this makes no sense, that's because I have literally just finished season 3 finale and am dying to know what happens next.

03x15

Second last episode. They didn't string the last, last 3 episodes together like they did for the first 2 seasons, which I miss. It doesn't actually feel like the end of the season until the last episode. That might be solely due to the beautiful song by Kansas which makes my heart rate skyrocket every time I hear it.

So the boys have finally started looking for a way to save Dean (cutting it a bit fine there with, what is it, 3 weeks to go? Although we;ve finally been given an idea of how tie flies on this show, given as there is a 3 week difference between this episode and the next one!)

I lvoe how Dean is finally starting to realise just how much crap he's in - everyone is waiting for his trip down south to pay him back for all the torment his family has put them through. ouch.

Sam wants to cheer him up with zombies. And hell yes, they haven't covered zombies yet! Wow 59 episodes nd no zombies? WHAT THE...?

But wait, it's all a ploy in roder to try and entice Dean to find this Dr Benton who has found immortality by using live people for spare parts. Erm....somehow I really can't see Dean going with that. This is the guy who refused to sacrifice one virgin to save a town of people.....yeh, he's so not going to go for this. And yet Sam really is that desperate.

Ugh and all that maggot? You didn't gross Dean out enough, but you definitely did to me. What's with the maggot obsession this season? Nasty vile creatures. Bleugh.

They seperate again this episode- wow, they relly got break this seson, didn't they? I like how they find their own original ways of attempting to save Dean - he wants to find Bela, get the Colt back (which so far has been vastly useless on this show god knows why he wants it back) and kill the deon with it...obviously not cring the demon could within that time decide Dean is reneging on his deal and kill Sam. I don't know show, soehoe you don't manage to alwys explain yourself all too clerly to the viewing public. And Sam is still all about the braaaaains, wanting his brother to become a walking, talking Frankenstein. What love.

I like this new hunter, Rufus. I like his style. Why not use people to buy you good booze for information, get sloshed and almly reveal to them how awesome you are by letting slip you already know everything there is to know not just about them but everyone they know? I want to have his babies. And that'snot just because he's hot.

And Sam is most definitely built. When the doc tied him to that table....my brain went to a totally different place. My god, how built can the boy be?

Sam has become rather stupid lately, hasn't he? Dean keeps figuring out all the little mysteries, including here, while Sam decides to go running off after the old doc on his own on a half-cocked plan to save Dean. And he calls Dean the crazy one?

We of course find out Bela's back story, finally and it all makes sense. I was blase about her to begin with but then when we got here and I realised she was doing it all to get herself out of the deal, and she ade that deal because of her abusive father, gah, how twisted! She's not as evil as you think. She is the way she is because she also had a fucked up childhood, albeit fucked up in a slightly more normal way and now she's paying the price for making a decision as an angry 14 year old. Ouch. Now that is cruel. On re-watch I have absolutely allen in love with her. You can see Dean putting the pieces together, you can see it in his eyes, the slight flash of pity and sypathy as he realises exactly why she stole the colt. And i agree with him; if she'd simply come forward earlier, the story would have gone in a totally different way and they could have tried to help her. Now, they're all fucked.

That last scene, where she plugs the beds and realsies Dean got one over her is priceless. Seeing her cry into the phone and beg for help broke me a little, because she finally breaks down. And he won't help her. That line, I'll see you in hell while angry is also said with regret and acceptance. He knows he's going to hell, and she'll be there. Rather bittersweet line and perfectly poignant.

Heh yet again Dean figures out how to get rid of the doc once and for all..burying him alive...which I've seen on Heroes and also happened on Torchwood. Hmm, I think all the writers sat down during the strike for coffee and all of them decided being buried alive would be pure torture...because why was it suddenly repeted in all these season finales?

BUT! This is where they apparently decided Lilith owns all the contracts. Now, where did this come from, when did they suddenly decide it was Lilith who owns them all? Just last episode they called it a he...and i'm rally confused. When did he become she? IS this simply their way of tying up loose ends, bringing it all together? Did Lilith acquire all these contracts from a male demon (payment of death or the ilk?) I hate it when my brain is jarred by innocuous events like this.

Ug that eye shot. Ah, it's isgusting. nd then when the doc goes as far as getting ready to scoop the eye...thanks for totally grossing me out, show!

03x16.

MEATHOOKS!!!!!!!!!!

oh my god.

oh my god. the last episode! Which means...

Carry On, My Wayward Son..... There'll be Peace When You Are Done....sing with me now, everyone.

IT'S THE FINALE! Which means i'm flailing around like a seal on shore. Which means.......

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

I swear to you, I still thought at this point they'd pull out a miracle cure and save Dean, like last year with Dean bringing Sam back..which is how we all got into this mess. Never did I think MEATHOOKS!

Dean's having the hallucinations, the dreams, hering the howls...only 30 hours to go. And that show where he's talking to Sam is very close-range, you can see his lush freckles. Mmmmm...

Sam goes against Dean';s wishes again but you can see just how bloody desperate he is to save his brother. And now Ruby comes back into the game, when Sam summons her. See, she reckons she lied to Dean but not to Sam and this was her manipulative plan all along - wait until Sam was desperate enough to unleash his power. And then what? Seriously, then what? Save Dean, kill Lilith....would Ruby really leve him alone after that? I stillr eckon there was a hidden agenda, one which we won't know about. I guess we'll see if they bring Ruby back or not, won't we? Maybe she piggybacks along with Dean? I wouldn't mind!

Anyway, after she bets the shit out of both boys, Dean shows her time with Bela was spent well as he's manged tos wipe her demon killing wife. WHich is the new Colt. Since they've lost the Colt. again. The pointless Colt which only came in handy for opening the gates to hell and killing ol'yellow eyes. Besides that? Pretty useless. And so they've now found a new weapon which can kill anything for our pretty pretty boys to use.

MEATHOOKS! GAH!

And aww...they are each other's weaknesses....I love how Dean has finally realised how repetitive this martyrdom is getting and wants to put an end to it, so we've gone from Dean wanting to live to Dean preparing to die - very inconsistent this season! Maybe his little chat with Rufus last episode showed him death can't be that bad, if the alternative is crazy old cock.

Love how Dean cans ee now the demons, hope that continues, it would be a neat little party trick..and aww...he's becoming hell's bitch....yes, Petra's brain went to some very interesting places very quickly just then.

Now, it's not the sme Lilith as last time - pparently she likes using little girls bodies. Ooh that sounded rather dirty, didn't it?

Now,w e are getting to the good bit. Just as Sam is about to kill the 10 year old inhbited by lilith and terrorising the family, Sa stops him, because Lilith's gone. But where is she hiding? As they lock themselves up with Ruby in a room, Dean realises it ain't Ruby anymore, it's Lilith. Oh my god, this is wehre it gets good. although I do wonder at which point Ruby became Lilith. I'm curious. I think it's when they find the dad, there's this odd glint and sharp focus on Ruby for a moment.

So, she bangs Dean on the table and Sam against the all and kate Cassidy does a brilliant job playing screwy Lilith in a grown-up's body, all weird-like and creepy. She plays with Sam for a little while, then, after saying she doesn't answer to puppy chow, opens the doors and the hellhounds come for Dean.

My eyes widened and all I could think was.....they're not saving him? But...he'll get ripped apart....where's the rescue? Where';s Bobby, he'll have thought of...oh my god, oh my god!

Dean is getting ripped to shreds - blood is everywhere! (Although can someone talk to the special effects guys? Because when being ripped to shreds, blood does not squirt out in a small single straight line like that - there should have been splattering!)

Then she raises her arms to kill Sam - only she can't. Huh. Sam IS special and he's stopped Lilith and she can't raise a figner against him. And then she disappears right before Sam can stab her with the oh so useless demon knife replacing the oh so useless colt.

And then, tears in his eyes, sniffling, he walks over to Dean, lying still no the floor, eyes unseeing. He cradles him in his arms because Dean is dead. DEAD. DEAN IS DEAD. they fucking did it! They Killed him! I think I was hallucinating or soemthing, because never did i believe they would actually do it!

And then?

They fucking send him to hell! He's tied up on FUCKING MEATHOOKS! IN HELL!

This is when I became this show's bitch and had it's babies.

Because that finale? Fucking rocked it all.

And that's it. Marathon over. Hope you've enjoyed....

tomorrow we go back to our regular viewing hours - starting with Lazarus Rising, the Season 4 premiere of SUpernatural! WOOHOO!

How can this be? Surely there is some sort of strange time warp going on . . .

I never thought at me as a workaholic. I usually stay more at the office, but not necessarily for work-related things, I just research something or I'm reading something. I do that as at that time there's nobody else in the office and it's quiet. Or I stay late with some colleagues and I play DoTa.
But, back to the point. Today I had to stay home for some personal reasons and it was pretty hard. I felt like bad for not being there. I can't yet figure why. I just felt bad about it. Since I haven't solved all my issues at home, I'll have to keep away from work. And I don't feel good about it also. Does this mean I am an workaholic? I have no idea, but if you do, please comment.

I have to dig more into this idea.

I’ve read and watched on TV that somehow it’s physically proved that time is shrinking.

I've read and watched on TV that somehow it's physically proved that time is shrinking. I don't know if this is true or not, but lately I'm getting more and more tasks and more and more responsibilities. Since I can't avoid it (or more specifically I don't really wanna stop this) I realized I have to do something in order to cope with it. More to this, I've had a test for stress level and I've got alarming result with an above-average stress level.

So, my plan is to reduce wasted time. I've had the chance to take a time-management seminar last month and I've decided to try some methods I've found out then.

Since my job consists of tiny fragmented tasks daily and most of them come unplanned while I'm dealing with others, there's always the risk of loosing some important info/task. Until now I had a list on my desk where I've written down things I have to do. It's sort of a TO-DO list which updates at least hourly. This is not working so well as there's no way to keep track of time and time-wasters, I can't say how much time I've spent on one task, there's no prioritization, except for a ! in front of the line :))
More to this, I've turned into a robot-like life form that has only one reason: reduce the number of unstriked lines on the paper sheet. There's no time for planning, there's no time for thinking, there's no way I can follow to complete my goals. Just the run for striking out completed tasks.

I've found out about an excellent quote from US President Eisenhower: "What is important is seldom urgent and what is urgent is seldom important." During the training I've found also about the Eisenhower matrix(details: http://www.12manage.com/description_time_management.html).
Also a good reading http://discussionleader.hbsp.com/watkins/2007/03/the_fire_within.html

However, as I have to finish this to go back to work, I've found a nice website http://davidseah.com/ from where I've downloaded the ready-to-print daily Emergent Task Planner http://davidseah.net/pceo/etp/PCEO-ETP02-StandardBW.pdf. I'll try it for a couple of weeks and I'll come back with more details and comments.

Reader beware; I am no prophet. From me you shall hear no clarion call to action. My aspirations are far more humble in origin. Resoultions can be found elsewhere (see myspace); allow me, however, to present my wishlist for the next 360 days.

1. I'd love to see Charles established in the career he's been called to. He will finish his Paramedic program and possibly even immerse himself in opportunities as a volunteer firefighter. For myself, I stand poised at a crossroads; I know the type of career I'm suited for but the specifics still elude me. By the end of 2007, I intend to be much more prepared to balance work and family.

2. We will straigten out our finances and finally implement some of the strategies we've discussed (i.e. saving at least 3-6 months worth of essential expenses). A more proactive and cautiously risky management of our portfolio will put us in a position to possibly purchase our first house by the end of the year. In addition, we will significantly reduce the amount still outstanding on the Green Lantern (Charles's truck).

3. Getting myself into the best possible shape mentally and physically will start us down the path to beginning our family. Essentially, I need less stress and more productive outlets for the stress I carry. I'm concerned about my tendency to "sweat the small stuff", as my mother would say. Charles and I will make a conscious effort to incorporate more quality time with each other every week; after all, proximity is no replacement for honest conversation.

4. I will progress towards maintaining (and strengthening) healthy relationships. I complain often enough about feeling isolated, and if we end up moving I truly will be set adrift. This introvert has every intention of reaching out before I stagnate.

In order to follow the yellow brick road, the next 12 months should involve (thanks to Jennifer Wright for the idea of being specific):
