Złamałem się i postanowiłem choć troszkę popatrzeć i posłuchać... Na dzisiejszy wieczór szykował się "wypas" - podróż do lat 80. - występy "gwiazd" takich jak: Sandra, Samantha Fox, Sabrina, Limahl czy Modern Talking.

Było to przeżycie conajmniej osobliwe. Niby oprawa całości nieco lepsza niż za czasów TVP (nie wiem jak było rok temu, bo generalnie tv nie oglądam, więc piszę na podstawie mglistych wspomnień). Imprezę prowadził Szymon Majewski. Showman? Chyba tak. Aczkolwiek męczący jest już jego żart. W każdym bądź razie... Nie oglądałem od początku. Ominęła mnie Sandra. Zacząłem od Samanthy Fox. Na scenę, po przydługim intro, wyszło coś co kiedyś przypominało kobietę. A teraz jest jakimś stadium rozwoju między kobietą a mężczyzną. Muzyka z playbacku, ale wokal... nie! Śpiewała na żywo. A raczej starała się śpiewać. Fałsz za fałszem... Było oczywiście słynne "Touch Me". Trzy numery i koniec... Teraz Limahl i Kajagoogoo... Jeszcze większy problem ze śpiewaniem. O ile refreny były w miarę zrozumiałe, o tyle zwrotki przypominały seplenienie jakiegoś 3 ligowego hip hopowca. Strasznie niewyraźnie... Ale ludziska się cieszą. Nawet bis zagrali! No i wreszcie jest... Sabrina! Zdecydowanie lepiej wygląda niż Samantha Fox. Cycem świeci tak jak kiedyś, widać już te 40 lat, ale przynajmniej możemy mieć pewność, że to jest kobieta. Zagrała "Boys" w jakiejś nowej, zremiksowanej wersji, też często nie nadążając za podkładem i... chyba 30 min reklam. A po nich? Kim Wilde! A Sabrina?! Tylko jeden numer? Buuuu... Kim Wilde zaczęła od "Kids in America"... Ona już też źle wygląda... Ale jeszcze gorzej śpiewa... Nie dałem rady nawet całego numeru. Miałem już dość tej "Szansy na sukces" w marnym wydaniu i wyłączyłem. Zawiodłem się. Szczególnie Sabriną. Dlaczego tak mało? Bo dlaczego tak słabo to chyba nie wypada pytać?

TV Censors Driver Mad By Female Nipples

When watching educational, medical TV shows on the Discovery Channel and such female nipples are usually blurred. An irritating fuzzy spot is strategically placed over the spot and instead of letting people see what is just a part of anatomy that we all have we are all taught, yet again that it is something... different.

In South Africa, when the previous regime was still in charge they did the same thing with little stars. Acknowledging in print that women actually had nipples was part of the onslaught of the "rooi gevaar" - translated communism. Putting little starts on made sure that the young men folk would grow up stong in the faith and fight well in the army. It also made sure that the young women stayed virgins until marriage. Yah, right...

We've come a long way since then and today people are actually demanding that if men can go topless then they should be able to as well. Sometimes they get arrested for it but the idea is there and the logic is pretty sound that if you want to do it why can't you?

Yet, it seems that for all advancements that have been made I saw something last night that made me wonder whether TV networks have finally gone completely mental with being exposed to all those nipples they have to censor. I've seen it once before but it was so bizarre that I just passed it off as momentary insanity by a censor but I just saw it again when watching The Spa of Embarrassing Illnesses. They are censoring the nipples of overweight men. So if a man is fat and has "man-boobs" his nipples get blurred out.

Why? It's mind-boggling. Personally I think it's pathetic and stupid but, since the X-Files movie is on the circuit I think this question deserves a bit more though. What if they are doing this to start conditioning us that it's not the gender that is the criteria for censorship but size. That way the argument for equality between sexes can't be used anymore. If you're thinking of using the "if a guy can take of his shirt so can I" then you'll soon get the cuffs slapped on with someone telling you that it doesn't matter it's because they're big, that's why you have to hide them. And if you don't believe it they'll show you how they have to hide man-boob nipples and the standard boobs we all loves' nipples.

Szanowni Państwo!

Tylko w Operze Leśnej i tylko na antenie telewizji TVN najważniejsze wydarzenie muzyczne lata! Co tam lata - całego roku! A może nawet dekady lub ćwierćwiecza... Wystąpią przecież gwiazdy światowej sławy, idole całych pokoleń, ikony piosenki, królowe i królowie parkietów, baronowie wielkiej sceny i jak tam sobie jeszcze chcecie - każdą bzdurę można napisać w press releasie, a większość mediów i tak to powtórzy, z braku czasu, refleksji czy po prostu z lenistwa.

Kogo my tu mamy? Oj, grubo, naprawdę grubo...

Sabrina - wykonawczyni diskopolowego (czy tam italodiskowego, whatever) hitu "Boys", właścicielka wielkich piersi i malutkiego głosiku. Już kiedyś występowała w Sopocie, równe 20 lat temu, i nawet wtedy wydawało się to raczej kiepskim żartem.

Samantha Fox - taka Sabrina, tylko w wersji blond. Mokry sen nastoletnich onanistów późnego PRL-u. Od kolegi, który twórczo przerobił jej największy hit "Touch Me" na polskojęzyczny "Wsadź mi", za kilka plakatów Samanthy z "Dziennika Ludowego" otrzymałem wycinki z całego rocznika "Bravo" o Helloween, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden i Ratt. Transakcja życia. Dobrze więc wspominam Samanthę.

Sandra - kiedyś na kolonii, chyba w Rowach, poprosiłem jedną taką Martę do tańca przy "Maria Magdalena", więc Sandra też mi się dobrze kojarzy. Ale potem didżej puścił jakąś wolną piosenkę (wiem, "Carrie" Europe!) i mogłem przesunąć się o pół kroku bliżej Marty, więc Europe kojarzy mi się jeszcze lepiej. Na pewno przyjadą do Sopotu w przyszłym roku, za co z góry telewizji TVN dziękuję.

Kim Wilde - Wiecie, że jest zawodowym ogrodnikiem? Czy ogrodniczką? No, w każdym razie chodzi o to, że na szczęście mało śpiewa. Jej książki o kwiatkach i krzaczkach są za to dość popularne na Zachodzie. Jak już ktoś na Wiertniczej tak bardzo Kim kocha mógł kupić do TVN Style jej program o ogrodnictwie, robiony swojego czasu dla BBC...

Limahl - kiedy juz znudziło mi się bycie Bruslim, postanowiłem zostać Limahlem, ale do szkoły nie pozwalano nam chodzić z nastroszonymi włosami. Tata ustrzelił mi więc na strzelnicy prasowankę, mama żelazkiem zrobiła co trzeba i przez chwilę zadawałem szyku na szkolnych dyskotekach. Przez kolejnych 20 lat o Limahlu nie słyszałem i jakoś nie tęskniłem, aż tu kiedyś w Niemczech, w małym hoteliku w Bawarii (takim małym, że nikt nie pomyślał o podłączeniu choćby jednego kanału anglojęzycznego) zobaczyłem w telewizorze program "Comeback - Die große Chance". To jedna z mutacji "Idola", w której publiczność i jury znęcali się nad zapomnianymi gwiazdami. Wypłowiały Limahl wdzięczył się tam do publiczności u boku takich tuzów jak C.C. Catch (a właśnie, drogi TVN-ie, cóż za zaniedbanie!!), Haddaway i Coolio. Żal było patrzeć. Nie wiem kto wygrał ów show, ale o żadnym spektakularnym comebacku gwiazd z tamtego grona nie słyszałem...

Jeszcze Shakin’ Stevens i Modern Talking… No nie, naprawdę już nie chce mi się silić na anegdoty z lat szczenięcych. Każdy przecież zna i każdy wie, z czym mamy do czynienia. Kiedy TVN przejął organizację festiwalu w Sopocie myślałem, że będzie dobrze. Ba, było dobrze i myślałem, że będzie coraz lepiej. Najpierw Simply Red, świetny koncert. Rok później Katie Melua i Elton John. Oczywiście, już wtedy pojawiły się demony przeszłości, choćby w postaci Demisa Roussosa i Karela Gotta, ale to był tylko niewielki element festiwalowej oferty, no i Roussos kiedyś jednak wielkim wokalistą był. To nie Sabrina… Rok temu było gorzej, znacznie gorzej, jakieś niedobitki Village People czy Hot Chocolate, ale przyjechała też Norah Jones, nobilitująca ten brokatowy cyrk. Widocznie jednak i to nie wystarczyło, żeby w weekendowym prime timie stawić czoła konkurencji. Bo co z tego, że na Wiertniczej i w Operze Leśnej dwoili się i troili, skoro Polsat w tym czasie po raz setny puszczał film o tym jak Van Damme jednym pierdnięciem łamie kręgosłupy czterem brzydkim Chińczykom - i miał większe słupki.

W przyszłym roku proponuję więc nie szukać na siłę kolejnych gwiazd i pseudogwiazd z przeszłości, tym bardziej, że lista coraz krótsza. Trzeba po prostu zorganizować wybory Miss Mokrego Podkoszulka, jedzenie hot dogów na czas, międzynarodowy konkurs karaoke (tylko niech wszyscy śpiewają „Małgośkę” albo „Białą armię”, żeby się telewidz nie męczył słuchaniem piosenek, których nie zna) i sukces murowany! Trzeba też koniecznie sprowadzić naszą rodzimą odpowiedź na Sabrinę czyli niejaką Danutę Lato. Można ją wcześniej przepuścić przez te wszystkie „Kulisy sławy” i „Rozmowy w toku”, posadzić na kanapie u Wojewódzkiego, i spokojnie kobieta poradzi sobie jako główna gwiazda Sopot Festival 2009.

Telewizja TVN podczas Sopot Festival 2008 przypomni gwiazdy lat 80. Na deskach Opery Leśnej zobaczymy Sabrinę, Samanthę Fox , Sandrę, Kim Wilde, Limahl i Kajagoogoo, Shakin' Stevensa oraz Tomasa Andersa i Modern Talking.

Festiwal w Sopocie rozpocznie się 23 sierpnia w sobotę i potrwa do niedzieli. W pierwszy dzień imprezy odbędzie się Międzynarodowy Konkurs o Bursztynowego Słowika i Słowika Publiczności. W półfinale wezmą udział polskie gwiazdy: Formacja Nieżywych Schabuff, For Teens, Natalię Lesz, Pectus, Video feat. Anna Wyszkoni. Spośród nich 23 sierpnia profesjonalne jury wybierze reprezentanta Polski do półfinału międzynarodowego. O Bursztynowego Słowika i Słowika Publiczności rywalizować będą: Ruslana, Matt Pokora, Danny, Oh Laura, Mans Zelmerlöw i Velvet. Laureata Bursztynowego Słowika wybierze profesjonalne jury, zdobywcę Słowika Publiczności wskażą widzowie.

^ Shakin' Stevens - jedna z zagranicznych gwiazd tegorocznego Sopot Festival

W niedzielę usłyszymy m.in. Sabrinę Salerno, której sławę przyniosły utwory "Boys (Summertime Love)", "Hot Girl" czy "All of me (Boy Oh Boy)", byłą modelkę topless Samanthę Fox znaną z piosenek "Touch Me (I Want Your Body)" oraz "Do Ya, Do Ya (Wanna Please Me)"; Sandrę, autorkę wielkiego hitu z 1985 roku "(I'll Never Be) Maria Magdalena" i przebój "You're My Heart, You're My Soul" Modern Talking.

Festiwal w Sopocie po raz pierwszy odbył się pod koniec 1961 roku. Jego pomysłodawcą był Władysław Szpilman - wybitny kompozytor i pianista, a także dyrektor muzyczny Polskiego Radia. W tym roku odbędzie się 45. edycja festiwalu. Po raz czwarty zorganizuje go TVN.

TVN ponownie przypomni Polakom zapomniane gwiazdy. Drugiego dnia Sopot Festival 2008 na deskach Opery Leśnej wystąpią Sabrina Salerno oraz Samantha Fox - dowiedział się portal Wirtualne Media.

Sabrina Salerno urodziła się 15 maja 1968 roku we Włoszech. Sławę przyniosły jej utwory takie jak "Boys (Summertime Love)", "Hot Girl" czy "All of me (Boy Oh Boy)".

Samantha Fox zaczynała z kolei karierę jako modelka topless w brytyjskiej gazecie The Daily Sun. Dzięki zdobytej wówczas popularności, mogła podpisać kontrakt z wytwórnią muzyczną. Wokalistce udało się wypromować dwa utwory "Touch Me (I Want Your Body)" oraz "Do Ya, Do Ya (Wanna Please Me)".

TVN nie komentuje na razie oficjalnie obsady imprezy - Drugi dzień będzie utrzymany w rytmach lat 80-tych - przyznaje tylko w rozmowie z portalem Marek Kot, wicedyrektor festiwalu. Lista gwiazd Sopot Festival 2008 została już jednak zamknięta, stacja ma ją ogłosić w przyszłym tygodniu.

Placebo Side-Project a Bitter Pill

Hotel Persona is the side project of Placebo bassist Stefan Olsdal, and they have just released their debut album In The Clouds.

Despite remixes from established artists like Queens of the Stone Age, Placebo and She Wants Revenge, some songs sound like Depeche Mode or the Sneaker Pimps if they decided to represent one of the Balkan countries in Eurovision (if the tracks featured on their myspace page are anything to go by). Others are dreamy electro lullabyes.
Then there is the peculiar reworking of Samantha Fox's 1986 hit 'Touch Me,' featuring Ms Fox on vocals. Other guest vocalists include Brian Molko (Placebo), latin artist Miguel Bose and Alaska (from Spanish electro pop outfit Fangoria).

Hopefully Placebo starts working on another new album...

Como me ha comentado alguien de los que habitualmente interviene en este blog que una de sus cantantes favoritas es Samantha Fox, os cuelgo este vídeo de ella, creo que es una de sus canciones más conocidas. Y la verdad la mezcla del vídeo con caballos playa y piscina mientras transcurre su canción es de lo que más me gusta. Espero que os guste a todos y a todas.

Esse artigo foi escrito por 'Xi', um possível futuro colaborador do MTJ! de Campo Grande (RJ)

Apesar de toda a apreensão dos fãs de Placebo para saber qual será o novo baterista da banda, todo o mistério por falta de notícias e informações do novo cd, o baixista Stefan Olsdal saiu na frente e está lançando o cd de seu projeto paralelo, Hotel Persona.

Além do sueco Stef, a banda é formada pelos espanhóis Javier Solo e David Amen. A banda começou como uma brincadeira em festas de amigos dos integrantes em Londres e foi crescendo cada vez mais até gerar o álbum ‘En Las Nubes’ que saiu na Espanha no último dia 5.

O disco conta com a participação do vocal do Placebo Brian Molko, Alaska, Samantha Fox (musa da música "Touch Me"da década de 80) e Michael Bosé.

O som eletrônico com um leve toque de guitarras e violões dão o tom das canções. O melhor do cd vem com o passar das faixas, e o ápice se dá ao entrar a voz do ícone gay Brian Molko, que encanta na faixa Modern Kids. Fora isso, o cd oscila entre o repetitivo e o legal, mas nada muito impressionante.
Mas para quem gosta de uma boa baladinha eletro-rock, essa é uma boa pedida.

Samantha Fox- Nothing's Gonna Stop Me Now

A match made in heaven kan man nog kalla det för när Samantha Fox och SAW (Stock, Aitken & Waterman) slog sina påsar ihop i mitten på 80-talet. Den bystiga tjejen som redan hunnit bli stor som s.k "page three"-modell i brittiska tidningen The Sun tog sig nu till ännu högre höjder genom sin sångkarriär. Förutom denna låten som är min personliga favorit så är hon nog mest känd för låten Touch Me som toppade listorna runtom i världen, den fick dock bara en 3:e-placering som bäst i Storbritannien. Har inte nån koll på hur det gick här i Sverige men antar att hon kom rätt högt här oxå. Tja, vad mer kan man säga än att det var nog många pojkrum runtom i världen som förärades en affisch på väggen med denna dam.

Page 3 Girl Keeley Hazell Shoots For The Top Of The Pop Charts With Her Debut Single “Voyeur”

Following in the footsteps of former Page 3 pin-up Samantha Fox, current Page 3 and men's magazine superstar Keeley Hazell (pictured above) has now entered the world of music with her debut single, "Voyeur."

Since winning the Page 3 Idol contest in 2004, the 21-year-old Hazell, who hails from Bromley, England, has been prominently featured in the Page 3 section of the UK newspaper The Sun as well as numerous men's magazines, such as FHM. (For those not in the know, Page 3 features a different model posing topless every day in The Sun newspaper.)

As for Hazell's song, it's actually pretty decent based on the bit that's been available as of this writing. While I would say that it pales against Madonna's best in terms of being a good pop song, it's not bad at all for a debut. And given Hazell's celebrity, the song is sure to get a lot of airplay on radio both in the UK and here in the States.

It is reported that the full video for the song will be available on Friday, May 2nd. In the meantime, click below to watch a 60-second preview clip:

Den här hade jag inspelad på ett helt band, baksida och framsida... Varje kväll innan jag skulle sova satte jag på knappen på bandspelaren så att det bytte sida automatiskt. Sedan hånglade jag med John norum nätterna igenom tolv år gammal ;)

Var så kär så kär i en kille från Hökis (tror jag gick i femman). En kväll var jag och mina kompisar på Disco i Skönstaholmsskolan. När det i slutet av kvällen var danstävling vann JAG och killen med stort K. Vi fick sedan dansa tryckare till den här låten. Shit vad jag var lycklig. Kan känna hans lukt fortfarande när jag hör låten... tihi :)

Cool 7:a, hängde med värsting-killar och tyckte de var riktiga bad-boys ;)

Precis det här medleyt hade jag på ett kassettband. Magnus Uggla lyssnade farsan på (har en ung farsa) i bilen när vi bilade i europa när jag var liten. Han är liksom en i familjen känns det som, hehe:
