På väg från centralen upp mot vår vanliga shoppingrunda i Stockholm ropade min dotter av glädje när hon hittade sin internetbutik Streeetwear livs levande. Bakom byggbråte och ställningar hittade vi ingången till den nyöppnade butiken med en hel våning av rastakläder till jättebra priser. Såklart gick över halva shoppingkassan till den glada expediten. Och på tåget hem sov en superglad rastatjej med ett nöjt leende på läpparna!

Och jag satt bredvid henne och stickade färdigt rastavantarn i halv-vante-modell (joodå jag stickade på tåget och medpassagerarna log)

Rudolf II, Holy Roman Emperor, was crowned the Czech king in 1576 and moved his court back to Prague in 1583, thus promoting Prague to the imperial seat of power again. This era is sometimes referred to as Prague's Second Golden Age. Rudolf was obsessed with art and science, not spending much time on his royal duties, and made Prague the center of science and alchemy. It was during his reign that Prague earned its nickname "Magic Prague". Rudolf's court attracted scientists and artists from all over Europe, including astronomers Tycho de Brahe and Johannes Kepler. The legend of the Golem comes from that time, too.

Rudolf's successor Matthias attempted to deprive the Protestants of the few freedoms they were left with since the Habsburgs took the throne, and this oppression resulted in another Protestant uprising. The rebellion started with the Second Defenestration of Prague in 1618 when several Matthias' governors were thrown out of a window of the Prague Castle (they landed on a pile of garbage and survived). The protests culminated in the Battle of the White Mountain (bitva na Bílé hoře) in 1620 in which the Protestants were severely defeated by the Habsburgs. The Battle of the White Mountain resulted in the Thirty Years' War that spread across Europe. 27 Protestant leaders were executed on the Old Town Square in May 1621 and all religions except Catholic were banned. The Czech language and national consciousness were suppressed for the next 150 years. Prague lost its importance and the Prague Castle deteriorated. This period in Czech history is referred to as the Dark Age (doba temna).

The situation started improving with Marie Therese who ruled the Austrian Empire from 1740 to 1780. She and her son and successor Joseph II (1780-1790) brought some needed reforms that included reducing the power of the Catholic Church, expelling the Jesuits from the country in 1773, and issuing the Edict of Tolerance in 1781, which granted political and religious rights to religious minorities. The four independent urban areas of Prague (Old Town, Malá Strana, Hradčany, and New Town) were united by Joseph II in 1784. Josefov (named after the emperor) was added to the Prague's historical center in 1850.

In 1787, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart visited Prague and was the guest of the Dušeks, leading Czech musicians, at their villa Bertramka. His opera Don Giovanni had its premiere at the Estates Theatre.

So a while back (last year?) I found this photograph (rather a vignette) of an orange, Malaise de L'Orange by ~weem.  Anyway, at the time I thought it was cute ^_^ it was a project for the artists multimedia class and they put up a video of the completed project on youtube XD so cute and funny~

and since were on the subject of citrus o_O urm, I've been on a bit of a softie/plushie binge and found Tangerine and Sons by ~FrealaF on DA.  Its so cute, she did each individual tangerine segment and they all go into the tangerine :3 it has a little zipper in the back where they all fit.

Now onto crochet~  Lei wanted pics of my hat (rasta, tam, beret or whatever the hell it is x_x) so I decided just to post it here lol eheh, which reminds me I still haven't sent them to Lei.  I wanted to try sewing a cloche, only if I make it I'd want to wear it, and my head's just too big and my hair is just too unruly for me to be wearing something like a cloche TT_TT  I think I'll opt for a newsboy if I'm gonna sew a hat.

I started from the top/center and worked my way around, the top/back (?) of it is just double crochet then the puff stiches then the weave (woven?  a.k.a. front and back post) stitches then single and you're done :3.  Here's the pattern if you wanna try.  Mine's just modified a little with the woven stitched and enlarged a bit to accommodate my big head lol.  Mine's also in acrylic since its my first hat and I wanted to just check out how it would turn out :3  Hrmm, I've been meaning to get a foam head to put my hats on (and for sewing a mask, mmm foamy usefulness)  but I haven't been able to find a place that sells them around here, and I don't really want to buy online, so my lamp will just have to do.

And as long as were along the lines of crochet and softies~ Nelly and her wiener (right) by *ip2much on deviantART is probably one of my favorite amigurumi's on DA done by an incredible artist whose name is just a little disturbing :D.  She also did Mary had a little beaver... (left), the story is urm interesting LOL.

I had a major case of the munchies after all that running around. That's about the time everything got really colorful and this bright pink bunny invited me back to his rabbit hole for some tea and clovers. I don't know what happened after that. I must have upset the little guy, cause I woke up a few hours later naked in the park, puking up grass."

The cause of the haze was later found to have been a wild fire that spread to an illegal crop of marijuana, growing just outside of the city limits. The growers were apprehended but later released of all charges by district judge Baxter Mathis who was quoted saying "How can I be expected to charge the people responsible for the best day of my life? I had sex with my wife and enjoyed it for the first time in over twelve years!"

Judge Mathis and his wife have since been charged with public indecency and face fines of up to $10,000.

Rockers es una película jamaicana de 1978 dirigida por Ted Bafaloukos que cuenta la historia del baterista Leroy 'Horsemouth' Wallace (interpretandose a si mismo) al que le roban la moto que se acaba de comprar para vender discos. A partir de este hecho transcurre la película donde se refleja perfectamente la cultura rasta  y también como se movía el mundo reggae de los 70 en la isla.

En la película casi todos los personajes son músicos famosos en la realidad y se interpretan a sí mismos y como no, la banda sonora son buenos temas del roots reggae de la época.

La película la podeis encontrar por la red en inglés con subtitulos (ya que el inglés de los rasta es bastante raro), si alguien quiere los subtitulos en español que me los pida y se los mando. Para abrir boca os dejo con la intro de la peli:

Initially, aku plan nk ke Juara Soto di Kampung Pandan, namun kedai itu tutup. ahaa... I can call abg faezal to ask whether its open or not during Ramadhan but I choose not tooo... so we end up kt Rasta TTDi. My first time there sejak Rasta berpindah lokasi.

Nuar mengorder nasi goreng + padprik ayam + tlor mata meanwhile aku dgn set black paper steak! dapat gak aku makan makanan barat itu. Craving for it... Hopefully umor ku panjang tuk aku mengepoww incik chairel kt San Francisco plk setelah upacara itu tidak berlaku seperti yg dikehendaki. hehe... Owh... kalo korang perasan, aku masih dgn baju itam ittew! well upacara makan2 ini adalah setelah selesai sessi di restoran r bersama cik s, bukan nama sebenar. hiks. Termenul de "Emo" vine de la Emotional, ceea ce ne face sa ne gandim la acei oameni afectivi, sensibili si usor de impresionat.

“Emo” este, de fapt, starea pe care persoana ce se considera astfel o are datorita unor deceptii peste care nu a putut trece. Cert este ca aceasta stare nu apare doar de dragul de a fi “emo”, ci, dupa cum au demonstrat si unii specialisti in domeniul psihologiei, de pe urma unor traume ce au modificat modul de a gandi, de a actiona.

Prin anii '80, numele "Emo" era folosit in muzica, fiind un subgen al rockului. In decursul anilor, acest cuvant primeste multe inbunatatiri.

Unii spun ca emo kid-ul e o combinatie intre un goth kid, un rock kid si un punk kid. Acest individ poate fi recunoscut dupa ochii puternic conturati cu negru, coafurile rasta, parul relativ lung sau ciufulit, de culoare neagra, sau, eventual, in combinatii cu unele culori “ce sar in ochi” (roz, negru, blond).

Un Emo se evidentiaza si prin felul lui de a se imbraca, din cauza ca poarta haine foarte ciudate si o geanta lunga ca de postas.

De multe ori cei emo se izoleaza de lume,sunt aspri cu ei insisi, totul ducand la ganduri de sinucidere. Acesta stare se manifesta in perioada adolescentei, cand tinerii, incercand sa se regaseasca, au sansa sa se simta frustrati.

Majoritatea celor care sunt "Emo" in zilele noastre sunt oameni normali, fericiti, cu tot ce le trebuie, care vor sa se evidentieze prin machiajul, coafura si hainele ciudate care le poarta.
