Hi there.

This is a fancy internet website. That means that it is a collection of code, words and pictures viewable only through use of a popular connectivity service popularly known as 'the internet' and a program known as an 'internet browser.'

I'm Jamie. I build cars and guitars and I write music and things like that.

I suppose the point of this node in the Blogosphere is to detail my exploits and accomplishments. Oh, and also to bitch a lot.

I'm currently working on a 1972 Plymouth Valiant. I bought it from an Indian for $140. It doesn't do most of those fancy things that cars are supposed to do (like run) but it's not in too bad of shape. The doors are pretty beat up and the ugly creamish colored paint is a bit mangled but the stock green interior is gorgeous. The slant six that came in the car is frozen up. The next important step is to aquire a donor motor, and in the interlude before such a time the car is getting a go or two over. The wiring was in shambles when I bought it and has mostly just been torn apart since.

Thus far I have done a lot of cleaning, removed some stickers, ripped out the remnants of the AC system, torn most of the engine compartment apart, straightened the front end and hood (before ripping it off,) flat blacked the grill (since it's broken in a couple spots anyway,) pulled the drive line and taken the steering column apart a few times. I've also removed all the emblems in preperation for paint. I've painted the battery tray and done a lot of hard scrubbing in the engine compartment and on the bottom of the hood. Not a whole lot of work, really.

Here's a look at the newly painted grill:

It's coo.

Next up comes rewiring the engine compartment and finishing my fancy 'ignition box.'
