Anabell Gardoqui de la Reguera conocida como Ana de la Reguera, (8 de abril de 1978, Veracruz, México), es una actriz mexicana de cine y televisión. Ha participado en varias telenovelas y en el cine incluídas algunas películas de Hollywood.

Reguera empezó sus estudios de actuación y artes en el Instituto Veracruzano de Cultura y fue anfitriona de Pasarela en Televisa Veracruz. Más tarde dejó Televisa y estudió con Rosa María Bianchi, Patricia Reyes Spíndola y Rafael Miranau. Al igual que con Raúl Quintanilla en el Centro de Formación Actoral de TV Azteca (CEFAC).En televisión se inició como conductora del programa Pasarela en TeleVer en Veracruz.

Ha participado en distintos comerciales y en programas de televisión como: Mujer casos de la vida real, Al derecho y al Derbez, Intimamente Shanik, Chiquitos pero picosos, La venta increíble, Llévatelo, Chitón, Momento de decisión, Cómplices en familia, Hotel Paraíso y En la noche.

Su talento también conquistó la pantalla grande con las películas Como pez en el agua y Por la libre, asimismo ha trabajado en teatro con la obra, El Cartero.

Su carrera de actuación empezó con el rol en la telenovela Azul (1996) seguida por Pueblo chico, infierno grande (1997) por el cual recibió el premio Heraldo por mejor actriz femenina, y Desencuentro que fue su tercera telenovela bajo la dirección de Ernesto Alonso.

Tentaciones (1998) marcó su comienzo con Producciones Argos. Y recibió la oferta de un papel en Destino y Todo por amor, por el cual recibió el premio Palmas de oro.

Cara o Cruz (2002) fue su primera telenovela co producida entre Argos Comunicación y Telemundo, la cual fue hecha para la audiencia hispana en los Estados Unidos. Luego fue retransmitida en México, por el canal independiente CNI. Participó en la telenovela Por tí de TV Azteca y la miniserie escindida de Pedro el escamoso, Como Pedro por su casa la cual fue una co producción entre Caracol Televisión de Colombia y Telemundo.

CINE

Su carrera en el cine inició en Por la Libre, bajo la dirección de Juan Carlos de Llaca. Más tarde actuaría en la película Un Secreto de Esperanza y en 2003 Ladies Night, al lado de Ana Claudia Talancón. En 2005 estelarizó Gitanas transmitida por Telemundo en Estados Unidos.

El papel por el que se dio a conocer fuera de América Latina fue el de la Hermana Encarnación en Nacho Libre, película de Jared Hess, director de Napoleon Dynamite.

En 2006, fue anfitriona de los Premios MTV al lado de la banda Molotov.

Reguera también ha participado en cintas como Sultanes del Sur y Paraiso Travel del colombiano Simón Brand estrenada en 2008, y en la película A Happy Death.

Igualmente participó con Argos Comunicación en la serie de HBO Latinoamérica "Capadocia" al lado de Rebecca Jones.

On Friday night, I threw a party for about 150 people where the theme was "Welcome to Tijuana."  Except for a few visible ramps and other partially concealed elements, one wouldn't immediately surmise that the venue was a 16,000 square-foot skate warehouse.

My client wanted to go "cheesy" on the decor, and I definitely went there-- with Mexican blankets, dollar store pinatas, and sombreros.  But, I couldn't go completely cheesy, so I added pipe-and-drape and a few technological candy, like the spinning circular screen that showed Mexican movies all night.

I had a four-sided bar made and had a bit of a worry during the install when we discovered that the bar wouldn't fit in the freight elevator.  (Three words I should always remember = Measure. Measure. Measure!)  It had to be dismantled then put back together.  No matter--it was supposed to look rustic anyway. :)

People were greeted with Jello shots as they entered the space, and were invited to imbibe from the Tequila fountain at the entry.  Oh, boy, did they imbibe!  Amid the food, an awesome DJ, and overflowing drinks at the bar, I had several "shot girls" (see pretty young thang below) walking around the venue, prodding attendees of both genders--although, admittedly, they targeted mostly the guys--to a tequila shot or two (or seven).

Since the guests were from the Action Sports group, many predictably showed up an hour-and-a-half after the party started.  No worries, though.  As long as the booze was flowing, everyone was happy.  When I felt the guests' lucidity reached acceptable low levels, I brought out Nacho Libre--actually, a catering staff member who is shaped like Jack Black (and then some!) and agreed to don the costume.  As cynical as this group generally is, they ate him up!

I left before the party ended-- confident that the rest of the evening would go well (which it did, thankfully!) -- and got me a good night's sleep.  So now, off to clean things up!

I know what you're thinking, the name is very apropos. The garbage plate (or just a 'plate' as is commonly used to not infringe on the studiously guarded copyrighted term- every restaurant has it's own name like trash plate, hummer plate, cheeseburger plate and so on) must have come around when Nick Tahou (the inventor) took all the garbage left in the kitchen after a late night, threw some hot sauce on it and sold it the next day as on special. It's worked out pretty well since then and Nick's little concoction has become, arguably, a better symbol for the Rochester area than.... Jell-O.

Basically a combination of macaroni salad, home fries and two patties of beef with cheese, onions, mustard and ketchup on top. The mac salad and home fries are often swapped for beans or any other side dish you can think of as is the burger replaced by hots, fish or even tofu. Rochester style hot-sauce is mandatory, you can think of it as a beefy, slightly saucy red sauce with a healthy but not too strongy spicy kick. Some places add a dash of cinnamon (Fairport Hots - our favorite) or any other random spice you can think of. A 'plate' is a catchall of wicked conglomerates; jamming everything on one soggy chinet, drenching it in grease and cheese and you have the makings of a heart attack served with a side of french bread. This is the kind of dinner that will kill you if you are not careful. I've had a few plates that could fuel a diesel for a month and still have leftovers. When you eat one, you can actually feel your arteries hardening in your chest.

Politics is a garbage plate. It's full of crap, grease, cheese and a bunch of stuff that the chef won't tell you about and you probably don't want to know anyway. It's toxic, degrading and will sap your very soul out of you if you go near it too often, leaving you an empty husk that wanders around spouting words and catch-phrases that you aren't even sure you believe anymore. OK, so a garbage plate won't do that to you but politics surely will.

Few are they who can say that either (because, really, there are only two) candidate is the one that would be their ideal choice, it will be a matter of the lesser of two evils for millions of voters and millions more won't even find a compelling enough reason to make the decision between the two. I'm not sure if that says more about Americans or American politics but, either way, it isn't a good thing. We're either too apathetic to care or too disenchanted to try. Maybe it's both.

As I stood at Bill Gray's burger joint earlier today, I had their massive menu splayed out in front of and found myself doing the same thing I do every time I go there; I was longing for a garbage plate. I knew it would be so greasy I'd have to shampoo my hair twice before work and it would be so full of calories my waist would instantly swell two inches. I knew it was horrible, disgusting, horrendous and vile. But, I ate it anyway. And it was really tasty.

I'm not sure exactly what it is about politics that draws my ire and my love and nothing seems to get me more worked up than sitting down to have dinner with someone whose opinion I would just love to tweak. But, for some reason, I can't leave it alone. There are a million things I hate about it and not a single one that I can explain about why I can't leave it alone. Just like I can't explain how the little container in the fridge filled with leftover mac salad, home fries, burger, cheese and that magic hot sauce is calling to me as I type this.

Com uma estética tosca mas com uma fotografia bem legal, Nacho Libre é um tipo de filme que não faz você se contorcer de tanto rir, mas diverte bastante. Sei que estou um pouco atrasado e que já faz um bom tempo que o filme de Jack Black saiu em DVD, mas nunca tinha prestado atenção no título...rs... O filme conta a história de um órfão que é criado por padres e acaba trabalhando na cozinha para a igreja/orfanato, mas o sonho de sua vida na verdade é ser um luchador mascarado.

O mais legal é saber que o filme foi rodado todo no méxico, com quase toda equipe técnica de lá!

Pois bem, este meme foi proposto pela mafrinha. A letra escolhida pela bruxa do oeste mãe da Elisa para mim foi "N", porém levei a coisa um nível acima: além de aproveitar a idéia da mafra de colocar coisas detestáveis, postarei 6 filmes; 5 bons e uma bomba. Vamos lá!

Puta desenho chato! Mais irritante que isso, só os fãs escrotos com faixas e orelhinhas na cabeça passeando pela cidade. Essa fórmula de "herói evolutivo" já tá batida né... DBZ que o diga...

Narcisismo
Meu irmão é um narcisista de primeira, e é a coisa mais irritante do mundo: não bastasse ele julgar todo mundo pela aparência, não consegue ficar sem parar na frente de todo espelho que encontrar.

Nata de leite
Imagine a cena: você acorda naquele horário miserável do proletariado brasileiro. Se arrasta feito um zumbi até a cozinha, ferve o leite e joga num copo com café. Senta de qualquer jeito e, logo depois do primeiro gole, quando afasta a caneca, percebe uma película branca se alongando dos seus lábios até a borda e nota que engoliu metade daquilo. Isso, caros amigos, é a maldita nata.

Nasal sex
Não que eu já tenho praticado... mas a idéia é bizarra demais, não gostaria de presenciar uma cena dessas. Tá, admito... não tinha mais nada pra colocar aqui...

Um dos melhores filmes de Jack Black, sem dúvida. Gravado no México, conta a história de um monge não-congregado que cuida dos órfãos da igreja local. Quando uma série de problemas ameaça piorar a já sofrível situação dos pequenos, surge a mistura da necessidade com um sonho antigo, e Supernacho toma forma! O luchador passará por grandes malhos para ajudar seus amigos, e até ganhará fãs!

Nada a Perder
Filme antigo com Marin Lawrence e Tim Robbins, clássico da Sessão da Tarde. Na trama, um pacato funcionário de uma grande corporação perde totalmente o conrole ao ver o chefe na cama com sua mulher. No meio da insanidade, um ladrão tem o azar de tentar roubá-lo e os dois vão parar no meio do deserto americano. Entre uma confusão e outra, surge uma idéia: roubar o chefão e dividir meio-a-meio com o ladrão. Filme divertidíssimo, destaque para a cena do sapato com Scatman John de trilha sonora.

Terror vagabundo que veio na onda das adaptações dos filmes orientais. Com Halle Berry no papel principal. Preciso mesmo explicar porquê é ruim?

Early on in our church plant, Dan also played the role of Children's Pastor, and still continues to play a role in our children's ministry titled, "Expedition Kids." Early on in our launch, I was asked to play a role in one of the videos for the kids that addressed some behavioral issues in a creative way. Supposedly, mis-behaving sometimes generated a scary experience involving a "Phantom Luchador."

Personally, I don't believe it's true, and think that all of the encounters were hallucinations that came about due to the popularity of the film "Nacho Libre." Does the evidence convince you? Decide for yourself...

10 Years Ago I would have been ashamed of that body, but after dropping 40 lbs this year.  I'm just glad, I have anything on my stomach even resembling an abdominal muscle even if it is chilling on an inch of Dorito by-product.

Nacho (Jack Black) foi criado em um monastério/orfanato mexicano, localizado no México. Para melhorar a vida dos órfãos ele decide se inscrever em um torneio de luta livre junto com um parceiro nada convencional – Esqueleto (Héctor Jiménez). Porém esta atitude tem também outro motivo: o interesse de Nacho pela irmã Encarnación (Ana de la Reguera), uma bela freira mexicana que chegou recentemente ao monastério.
Uma comédia fantástica do mesmo roteirista de Escola do Rock!

Mucha Lucha Libre!

So I found my new cause. Votefortheworst.com. This lovely little organization encourages America to vote for the underdog, ha who am I kidding? They want you to vote for the worst singer on American Idol. Basically the idea is that each year hundreds of talented singers are turned away in order to let certain people on the show who will create easy targets for the judges. See the producers aren't out to make an American Idol, (at least not since the first season) they're out to make good television. American Idol is just another "reality" show that lets you interact somewhat with the characters involved. Come on if it were really about talent then Chris Daughtry would have won instead of this guy. To find out more info go here. If the worst person becomes the next American Idol maybe the show will implode and we can finally have our Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays nights back. Our kids will do their homework. Husbands and wives will spend more time together. Dogs will no longer be hurried to go to the bathroom between commercial breaks. Life will return to normal. Please help.
