I'm using some  aged Lenovo Thinkpad, and it sure isn't cool. I used to think the screen on my MacBook Pro was small, and that I really wanted some 20" or 24" external display to hook it up to, but this PC.... has a 14" screen with a 1024 by 768 resolution. Which is tiny. My MacBook Pro has a resolution has 1440x900. That is such a big difference, and suddenly, I realized just how far computers have advanced. Several years ago, many computers were still with CRT monitors. When I first got my Dell with a 15" LCD, I was so amazed just cause it was an LCD. But now, that's totally different.

Seeing the Mac Pro, with it's 8 cores and all, seems so advanced, but will 8 cores really be advanced 5 years from now? What is technology going to be like someday? Will it be so unbelievable to people of this time, that someday in the future we are all looking in the past and remembering when 2GB of RAM was pretty good? Considering that 16TB of RAM that Apple has promised with Snow Leopard, the future is going to be quite big.

But back to the topic of this post. Screen sizes. Do larger screens really make a difference? I believe so.

I just hate this IBM Thinkpad now, because the screen is so small. Larger screens make dragging files easy, having more windows easy, and generally simplifying your computing by expanding it. If only all screens were large!

My friend has a Dell laptop that's got a 15.4" screen with a 1920x1200 resolution. Everything on that screen is TINY. Things are so small and basically images look better, but certain things are more difficult to see/use. 15" with such a large resolution is ridiculous, considering 24" screens use such a resolution.

Everyone should get larger monitors. People believe it's a waste of money--I don't think so. I've seen some data charts where certain companies could get an extra 27,000 dollars per year with a 30" screen instead of a 20"! That's amazing. If only we could all do that.

For those of you out there who think getting a new monitor/computer is just a waste of money for your business or whatever you do, you're wrong. Quicker computing, along with a larger screen, not only makes things easier to do, it also relieves some stress on you. Sometimes it is just so annoying to sit there for about half a minute waiting for FireFox to open, or waiting 5 minutes for your PC to boot up.

Anyways, hope you agree with me that larger screens are better! Comment about it please!

En mi constante busqueda por cool gadgets y las mejores partes de computadoras que pueda encontrar, Logitech, una marca de la cual ya he probado varios de sus productos, sorprende con su nuevo mouse, el MX Air. Este mouse no solo luce extraordinariamente atractivo y moderno, sino que incorpora funciones más avanzadas que las de un mouse común y corriente. Algunas características, fotos y videos después del corte.

Con un diseño impresionante, este mouse no solo es agradable a la vista sino que cuenta con un sistema que permite usar el mouse aunque éste sea levantado de la superficie, lo cual lo vuelve una buena opción para aquellos que les gusta construir Media Center pc's y necesitan algún dispositivo para controlar las funciones a distancia.

También cuenta con botones sensibles al tacto e incluso la vieja rueda de scroll ha sido reemplazada por este sistema (aunque el mouse emite un sonido igual al scroll cuando se usa y no se puede apagar). Los botones son capaces de controlar el volumen, funciones de play/pause en windows media player o media center, un boton para regresar las páginas web (back) y botones configurables a los que se pueden asignar menus o funciones. Es recargable y viene con una base cargadora. Donde comprarlo? pués en Amazon.com es muy fácil de encontrar y su precio supera los $100.00 dolares. It's the free newspaper handed out to commuters every afternoon at the major train stations in the city.

It's amazing how easy it is to make people read something. Stand in their way while they are rushing to catch that train and reach out to hand them something they need: a free light read for that never-ending ride back home on a jam-packed train after an exhausting day at work. If it's a decent read, they will actually start picking it up themselves and make it become an everyday habit. I have. And sometimes all you can hear on the train in the afternoon is the sound of MX pages. And it has no competition.

How good would it be if they featured my everydaytrainblog.com? Then other fellow commuters can send me their commuter stories and I can share them here.

Dwu dniowe zmagania zawodników z piachem, błotem i uciążliwym kurzem pochłoneły wiele maszyn. Uczestnicy mieli do przejechania każego dnia po 4 okrążenia, każde liczyło 60 km. Trasa nie była łatwa i juz pierwszego dnia spore grono zawodników zrezygnowało z wyścigu. Zresztą nie ma co się rozpisywać fotki mówią same za siebie.

windows vienna is the code name for windows 7. it used to be called blackbomb but they changed it in like 2005 for some reason. i found a screenshot of it and it looks exactly like windows vista. the only difference i saw was that windows added some options to the right click menu when you click on your desktop.

Mx Ukey es un sistema de bloqueo para la PC, el cual usa como "llave" su dispositivo usb el cual previamente se configura con un sencillo panel de control.

Este sistema resulta ser útil cuando su PC esta espuesta al uso sin su consentimiento, la ventaja es que la llave solo la porta usted.

Mx Ukey es muy fácil de instalar y usar cuenta con un instructivo y ayuda para los nuevos usuarios.

Mx Ukey bloquea su PC impidiendo el uso de esta si no se ingresa la contraseña y la característica mas importante es que usted puede usar su dispositivo USB como llave física, conectandola a un puerto USB y desbloqueando su equipo sin la necesidad de ingresar el password que prebiamente configuro.

Mx Ukey instala un archivo de acceso en su dispositivo USB ( pendrive , memoria mp3 , mp4 , iPod , etc ) el cual contiene su contraseña encriptada para su mayor seguridad.

Mx Ukey es recomendado para computadoras al alcance de los niños y prevenir su uso protejiendolos así, de el peligro que puede resultar el Internet, también para laptops ( portatiles ) las cuales estan sujetas al uso sin autorisasion del usted.

Hace unos días les hablaba de una herramienta para bloquear las Macs mediante USB.. mencionaba que buscaría una para windows.. bueno, encontre varias pero no me agradaron mucho. Confio mucho mas en LcdMx. Excelente herramienta..
