A intenção da Maserati é crescer através da Alfa Romeo, afinal ambas têm firmado um acordo que permite o compartilhamento de tecnologias, algo que inclui a utilização de plataformas de tração traseira para a marca do tridente. Nos planos estão um sedan e um cupê de porte menor, posicionados abaixo do Quattroporte e do GranTurismo, obviamente. Nenhum deles, porém, deve chegar ao mercado antes de 2011. As informações são da agência Automotive News. Ainda segundo ela, a Maserati não teria intenção em criar um familiar, tendo até mesmo abandonado o projeto idealizado com o conceito Kubang GT.

Maserati is offering a build-to-order edition of the MC12 called the Corsa. Total production of this superexclusive gentleman’s racer will be limited to 12 units worldwide, and it will not be homologated for road use or for any racing series. Rather, it is a special track-day toy and surefire attention getter. With its full carbon-fiber bodywork, a stress-bearing, carbon-fiber-and-Nomex honeycomb monocoque chassis, and a mid-mounted V-12, the two-seat Maserati reaches an honest 205 mph top speed.

Man merkt es an diesen unglaublich merkwürdigen Farben, die so seltsame Namen wie „Gelb“ und „Rot“ tragen, und die mit ungekannter Klarheit und Brillanz unseren visuellen Cortex fast überfordern. Überall windet sich die „Hui“-rufende Bevölkerung in diesem Farben-Kaleidoskop, unfähig ihren Eindrücken Herr zu werden, und vertut wertvolle Arbeitszeit mit Ausrutschen in Laubhäufen und folgender Rekonvaleszenz.

Die Aussichten: Der Herbst ist da, der Herbst bleibt da. Die Wolkenberge, die sich abbrechendem Schelfeis gleich über das Land schieben, sind Zeuge davon. Es ist der Zeit der kälter werdenden Regenschauer, der Regenbögen und der Goldschätze. „Auf zum Yukon“, möchte man rufen, tut es aber nicht, weil's ja niemand ohne Kontext versteht, und man lieber Leute blöd anschaut, als von Leuten blöd angeschaut zu werden.

Es ist die Zeit der unpassenden Kleidung, der Schweiß, der nachmittags geschwitzt wird, gefriert abends zu kleinen Eisperlen, die zum Verfeinern von Trend-Gerichten von New-Age-Köchen in New-Age-Küchen verwendet werden.

Schlussendlich ist es die Zeit der Energiekonzerne, die Heizungen werden wieder aufgedreht, Gas und Öl diffundieren in großen Mengen Richtung Endverbraucher. Ich empfehle jedermann, im Herbst noch ordentlich zu heizen, im Winter werden die Preise sowieso nicht mehr bezahlbar sein. Am besten zündet man sein Haus an, und hofft, die Nachwärme reicht bis in den März. Wenn nicht: Lange Unterhosen machen sexy.

The Quattroporte has long epitomised the concept of “Sport Luxury Saloon”, a trend only now being followed by rivals such as Porsche, Aston Martin and now Lamborghini.

The Paris line-up mirrors the brands presence for Sydney, with both the standard 4.2-litre and S 4.7-litre variants on display.

Both models are equipped with a 6-speed automatic transmission developed in partnership with ZF.

Following the GranTurismo, the Quattroporte features a new grille with vertical slats while the front and rear light clusters now incorporate LED technology.

The local debut of the GranTurismo S within the next week will also be an Australian first with the new model boasting a 323kW V8 4.7-litre engine capable of 7100 rpm.

The sprint from zero to 100km/h takes just 4.9 seconds and on to a top speed of 295km/h.

With a more than six decade connection to the Pininfarina brand, Maserati will also honour the legend of Andrea Pininfarina who passed away earlier this year.

Apparently it will be named the Estoque. Not much technical info has been found, but you can put your money on an LP560-4 motor.

I'm still not completely cleared up on whether it will be AWD of FR layout. I would predict AWD, though.

The front end is very typical Lamborghini, aside from the horizontally mounted headlight cluster. A few interesting details are the Italian flag over the side vent(may not make it to production) side-view mirrors and the coloured text on the tires. Wheels on the Lamborghini are as typically aggressive as their other designs, not many other companies besides Lamborghini would be able to pull off running wheels like that on their production cars.

Back end of the car feels almost like a exaggerated Camaro, but the lights and lower bumper area + diffuser make up for it.Pretty Reventon-esque.Some of the styling could be better, but it will look better than the Panamera, at least.This Lamborghini is one good(and fast) way to get to school.

Can't wait for an Estoque vs. Quattroporte vs. Panamera vs. Rapide battle.

Paris Auto Show is coming, and we can't wait. Maserati couldn't either. Therefore, they revealed their concept ahead of time -- the Maserati GranTurismo MC. This track version (no word as of it being street legal or not) has got 17 more horsepower than the GranTurismo S due to exhaust and intake upgrades. Along with these comes a roll-cage and new wheels, not to mention the aerodynamic changes.
