This has been around a bit... It's a segment from 60 Minutes on why the US is going to hell in a hand basket. No, actually, it's on The Financial Crisis and is a good primer if your eyes start to glaze over when you hear 'investment securities' (like me).

Best quote: "Because you can't model human behavior with math." Nor dinosaur behavior either! Am I the only person who thought immediately about Jurassic Park after hearing this?!

Steven Spielberg: Jurassic Park Used Real Dinosaurs

More than 15 years aft

Steven Spielberg: Jurassic Park Used Real Dinosaurs
-Malibu, California (AIP)

More than 15 years after the release of his groundbreaking "science-fiction" thriller Jurassic Park, legendary Hollywood director Steven Spielberg revealed in an interview Friday that the dinosaurs used in the film were not (as previously thought) computer-generated or animatronic, but in fact real.

"You know, I think Jurassic Park was a revolution in the movie business," said Spielberg from his Malibu home. "We wanted to leave people with a powerful movie experience they'd never forget. So I knew from the beginning that we'd have to use technologies no one's ever used."

Added Spielberg, "That's right, I'm talking about real fucking dinosaurs."

According to Spielberg, when production on the film began in late 1991, it was decided fairly early on that computers and robots would not be sufficient to depict to the prehistoric creatures with the level of realism that Spielberg wanted in order to achieve his vision.

"The computer technology was very much in its infancy at the time," said the four-time Oscar winner. "In many ways, it still is. I knew that in order to have the effect I wanted, in order to penetrate the psyche of the viewer— to make them fearful that the next time they go into the kitchen, there may very well be a velociraptor in there— we had to take a page out of Crichton's book, literally. And can you imagine, we won a Visual Effects Oscar for that shit? Well, surprise, bitches! Those weren't visual effects!"

During production, explained Spielberg, he hired some of the world's best geneticists in order to recreate the cloning methods explicated in Michael Crichton's 1990 novel. Many of the film's most famous scences— including the birth of the baby velociraptor, the tyrannosaurus chasing the Jeep, and the lawyer Gennaro being eaten by the T-rex while sitting on the toilet— were not technological marvels, but were lived out on the set.

When asked about the infamous toilet scene, Spielberg laughed. "We never really told [actor Martin] Ferrero what was coming, you know. You probably that he was acting really well, but he wasn't acting at all. But you know, ultimately, certain sacrifices had to be made."

When questioned about the ethics of killing people in order to make a movie, Spielberg remained dismissive. "Look, we're not talking about Jaws, where you don't see the damn shark ninety percent of the time. Dinosaurs are an integral part of the movie. We had to do it, there was no way around it."

"The movie made a billion dollars. A BILLION goddamn dollars. What's a life or two for that kind of cash?"

This is a mish-mash post of things that happened in the last two days that I found slightly humorous.

First - Do you know the music Adagio For Strings? For those of you not classically inclined - it's the song that is playing in the movie Platoon when Willem Defoe runs out of the jungle after Tom Berenger (tries to) murder him, and Willem is cut down by the surrounding Viet Cong as he is running after the helicopter.

IT IS ALSO IN THE MOVIE AMELIE. When she is imagining her funeral and helping those guys in the soup line and she is tending for that Mr. Glass French asshole in the Swiss Alps.

I was watching Amelie, and that song came on and I was like IT'S THE SONG FROM PLATOOOOOOON! And I ran out and told Eric immediately, who was mostly surprised because I know nothing of music unless it was featured on Hee Haw or involves a man in overalls blowing on a jug with three X's on it. Or Britney. I have a serious infatuation with Britney.

My point of this is that my mother's favorite movie and my father's favorite movie share a song! Ladies and gentlemen, we're witnessing a miracle here. And you know what that calls for?

A little jug blowing, that's what!

Elsewhere...

On a train, talking to my cousin on the phone.

Thomas: So you're on a train. Do you want to play a game?

Me: Sure.

Thomas: Try and describe everyone around you without them knowing you're talking about them.

Me: Assholes.

Thomas: *GASPS*

Me: I win.

Thomas: I feel like the hunter from Jurassic Park who was hunting the raptors, who just lowers his gun and says 'Clever girl' and then gets eaten.

Indeed Thomas, indeed.

In the absence of cable and internet in my apartment, I’ve come to rely much more on my DVD collection to keep me entertained on these increasingly lengthening autumn nights. And while I do indeed have an impressive collection of films, a large percentage of them don’t necessarily warrant repeat viewing (“The Last Picture Show,” “Happiness,” and “Schindler’s List,” just to name a few off the top of my head). In periods without the comforts of network programming, one must rely on those DVDs in the collection that can be watched over and over again and still be enjoyed to the fullest. At the top of this list is Steven Spielberg’s 1993 masterpiece, “Jurassic Park.”

Now, it’s important to give honorable mention to some other films that withstand the test of multiple screenings—“Maverick,” “Dumb and Dumber,” “Men in Black,” “That Thing You Do!” etc—but none of these films continue to enthrall and delight with the same visceral power that “Jurassic Park” so effortlessly wields, time after time after time. Why is “Jurassic Park” so consistently re-watchable? Well, I’m glad you asked. After the jump, a breakdown of why “Jurassic Park” will never, ever, ever get old:

1. Bad-ass special effects
Ever notice how movies that came out like two years ago have the shittiest CGI when you go back and watch them on DVD? That shit’s the worst, man. Alternatively, “Jurassic Park” continues to look great, a full fifteen years (!) after its original release. Relying on a combination of CGI, mechanical dinosaurs, stuntmen in dinosaur suits, and the creative brilliance of Stan Winston, Spielberg and co. were able to create dinosaurs that look as real today as they first did when they dazzled audiences on the big screen.

(NOTE—If you’re wondering about how I knew all that shit about the special effects, it’s because I had a very informative “Making of Jurassic Park” book that I read multiple times as a young lad, enamored with the visual spectacle of the film. I didn’t even have to Wikipedia that shit—not that it really matters, since this is Modern Jackass and all, but still, I thought I’d just aggressively tote my “Jurassic Park” knowledge for a second. In fact, assume every other pseudo-factual thing I say for the remainder of this article is off the top of my head—I mean, yeah, maybe I’ll get some of the details wrong, but you’ll get the idea. Who cares, right?)

2. Quotable dialogue
Even if you haven’t seen “Jurassic Park” seventy five times, chances are you’re familiar with several of the classic catchphrases that Michael Crichton and David Koepp deposited all over their ridiculously taut screenplay. Try to tell me that you’re not familiar with at least half of the following lines from the film:

“Shoot her!”

“Hold onto your butts.”

“That is one big pile of shit.”

“Allen!” “Dr. Grant!” “Allen!!!”

“Dennis, our lives are in your hands and you’ve got butter fingers?”

“Must go faster. Must. Go faster.”

“Well, we’re back in the car again.”

“Spared no expense.”

“You stood on the shoulders of giants, and before you even knew what you had, you patented it, and you packaged it, and you slapped it on a plastic lunchbox, and now, you’re selling it, [bangs table] you’re selling it…”

“I really do hate that man.”

“Where’s the goat?”

“And now I’m sitting in the car by myself, uh, talking to myself. That’s chaos theory.”

“Uh uh uh. You didn’t say the magic word.” “Please, goddamnit!”

“How did you do this?” “I’ll show you.”

3. John Williams
While John Williams’ trademark is writing ridiculously catchy pop-classical hooks for movies that are usually directed by Steven Spielberg or George Lucas, he really outdid himself this time, providing iconic melodies that correspond perfectly with the iconic images onscreen. Remember that sequence at the end of the movie when they’re leaving the island in a helicopter, and they see those pelicans flying over the water, and that simple, beautiful melody is just making the moment incredibly poignant? Me too.

4. The cast (with a special acknowledgement of the high caliber of child acting)
I’d be hard pressed to find another action movie with a premise as crazy as an island filled with genetically-engineered dinos that features a cast of such accomplished actors. Jeff Goldblum? Ridiculous baller. Laura Dern? I don’t think you can have more indie cred than a starring role in “Blue Velvet.” Sam Neill? Sexy, distinguished and credible as archaeologist Dr. Allen Grant (not to mention how well the Aussie murders his American accent). Richard Attenborough? A living legend. Further, Joseph Mazzello and Ariana Richards (ok, I had to look up their names) portray their characters with depth and complexity, more than holding their own in an ensemble teeming with such expert thespians. Throw in Samuel L. Jackson, Wayne Knight, B.D. Wong, Bob Peck, and Martin Ferrero to round out the cast, and you’ve got one of the most impressive collectives of actors, not just for an action film, but for a film, period. Yeah, I said it.

In conclusion, “Jurassic Park” is sick. Siiiiiick. Go watch it again, and relive the magic like it’s your first time.

It´s time for another top 3. This time it´s about films, my top 3 trilogies. It wasn´t that easy, but it soon became clear witch 3 film trilogies that stood out.

I had some criterias for this list:

there had to be three and only three films in the series.

I had to had seen them all.

NR 3: The Jurassic Park trilogyThe Jurassic park trilogy is third on my top 3 list. So what are they about? Scientists have developed a way to bring dinosaurs to life using DNA taken from dinosaurs blood. Blood that has been preserved inside insects that got trapped in amber. The first film, Jurassic Park came out in 1993. Here John Hammond has built a dinosaur park on a remote island. Hammond puts together a selected audience to view the park, and help him decide if the park is safe or not safe for the public. But things don´t go as planned, as the security system collapses. Setting the dinosaurs free.

Here is the trailer for Jurassic Park:

In 1997 it was time to go back into the Jurassic world. And The Lost World: Jurassic Park, the second film in the trilogy came out in cinemas. This time the plot is slitely different. A rich family on a yacht cruise stumbles over a second island (also known as Site B) with dinosaurs. Site B is where is dinosaurs were being bred for Jurassic Park. But after the failure of Jurassic Park the Site B was left alone, and the dinosaurs were left to themselves. A team is sent to monitor the the dinosaurs lifestyle, before InGen (the company that owns the island) goes to the island to capture the dinosaurs, to bring them back to the US as attractions.

Here is the trailer to The Lost World: Jurassic Park:

The third and last film in the series Jurassic Park 3, came out in 2001. This time round the plot is a rescue mission. 14-year old Eric crashes on the Site B island, and his parents trick Dr. Alan Grant (surviver from the first film) to help them find him. But what the parents didn´t know was that there are two dino islands. And that Dr. Grant was on Site A, not Site B witch they land on to find their son.

Here is the trailer for Jurassic Park 3:

Why the Jurassic Park trilogy?

I remember watching the first film in the cinema as a kid, and was convinced dinosaurs did still exist. And when I heard they were making a second film I couldn´t wait. The reason why this trilogy isn´t higher than number 3, is because the third film isn´t as good as the first two. The Jurassic Park films are always fun to watch, and are my third favorite trilogy.

It was hard to choose witch of the top 2 film trilogies would be number one, both are excellent and great entertainment. But a choice had to be made.

NR 2: The Jason Bourne trilogy
The Jason Bourne trilogy started in 2002 with the film The Bourne Identity

The trilogy starts with a fishing boat rescuing a wounded man out at sea. This man has forgotten everything, including who he is. He soon finds out his name, Jason Bourne. As time goes by he remembers small parts of his past, but wants to know more. On his mission to find out how he is, he meets Marie. Who helps Jason find out more about his identity. But they soon find themselves in the middle of assassination plots by the CIA.

Here is the trailer for The Bourne Identity:

Two years later in 2004, Bourne is back in The Bourne Supremacy.

Jason has now begun a new life with Marie, and has left his old life behind. But the CIA are still after him. A CIA agent is killed and agency´s money is stolen. Jason gets framed for the incident, and fights back.

Hers is the trailer for The Bourne Supremacy:

The last film in the series is The Bourne Ultimatum, and came out in 2007. This film starts off the same night Supremacy finished. Jason is still trying to find out more of his past. He meets up with a reporter who is looking into Blackbriar, a CIA program that Jason thinks he might had been a part of. The CIA are also trying to get hold of the reporter, and find Jason while after the reporter. So the cat and mouse game is on again, this time its the final round. Jason wants to know his entire past.

Here is the trailer for The Bourne Ultimatum:

Why the Jason Bourne trilogy?

The Jason Bourne trilogy are some of the best thrillers ever made. They have it all, action, suspense, good twists, great actors, and what makes it the number 2 trilogy, is all of them plus a fascinating story. You get involved in the story. You want Bourne to win, but at the same time you don´t want it to end. That´s what makes a good film.

So we are now down to the final spot, number one. It is very close between the top 2, but the number one trilogy has the something extra.

NR 1: The Matrix trilogy

"What is The Matrix? Unfortunately, no one can be told what the Matrix is. You have to see it for yourself." A quote from the film. The year is 1999, and one day Thomas Anderson´s PC gets hacked. He is told to follow the white rabbit. This leads his to Morpheus and Trinity, and they show him what the matrix is. Mr. Anderson gets the choice between a blue pill, and a red pill. The blue pill....... Sorry I cant a good summary of the story because of two reasons. One, the trilogy deserves a much better summary than I can write. Two, the story is so good and complicated, that if I start a summary I wont finish.

So here comes a very very small summary of the Matrix plot: Machines have taken control over the world. In an attempt stop the machines. We humans have taken away the machines life/power course, the sun. But we underestimated the machines. They found a way to survive, by making humans into batteries (they bred humans and turn body heat into power). But their system is flawed, we don´t live long in captivity, we need the Matrix. Mr. Anderson also known as Neo, is supposed to be our savier. I you still don´t understand what the Matrix is, watch the trilogy. Because no one can be told what the Matrix is, You have to see it for yourself.

Here is the trailer for The Matrix:

The first film came out in 1999, the second in the trilogy, The Matrix Reloaded came out in 2003. This time round the machines are building an army to kill the last humans living outside the Matrix, in the last human city Zion. Neo has many hard choices to make in this film, choices between love and the survival of the free human race. Agent Smith (an agent from the Matrix) is now fully after Neo.

Here is the trailer for The Matrix Reloaded:

The Matrix Revolutions, the last film in the best trilogy ever made also came out in 2003. Now the final battle is near, will the free human race survive? Will Neo win against agent Smith?

Here is the trailer for The Matrix Revolutions:

Why The Matrix trilogy?

Where do I start, well I have got to give credit to the Wachowski brothers. They are the directors, writers and producers. The Matrix is their idea, their imagination gone wild. The Matrix is not just a sc-fi action thriller, but it has so many layers. Each time you watch it, you see a new layer. The Matrix film have got alot of attention because of t it´s ground breaking effects. But for me personally it´s the story that is the best part. The trilogy has it all, action, suspense, great twist, great actors, great effects but most of all a fantastic story. Like the Jason Bourne trilogy, you feel for the characters, you want Neo to win, but at the same time don´t want the films to finish.

The Matrix trilogy is my favorite trilogy.

Some of you are might be wundering why these trilogies are not on the list: Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Indiana Jones and The Godfather. Well the list is of my personal favorites. Lord of the Rings is a very good trilogy, but not one of my personal favorites. I haven´t seen all the Star Wars films so I can´t list them, the reason I haven´t seen them all is because I didn´t really like the ones I have seen. I have only seen two Indiana Jones film so I can´t list them, plus there are now four Indiana Jones films. So its no longer a trilogy. As for the Godfather trilogy, I haven´t seen any of them. I Yes I know i should have, as I do have the trilogy box on DVD.

Well thats my list. What are your favorite trilogies?

Tuck, can we put out a press release saying that Sarah was talking about seeing the movie Jurassic Park, not her actual retarded beliefs?

10. Homens Brancos Não Sabem Enterrar (Ron Shelton, 1992)

Luis Henrique Boaventura

This past weekend (and a little more, since we didn't get back until Tuesday) my wife and I went to visit her grandparents in Orlando. While we were there we went to Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, and Downtown Disney. I had actually never been to Universal Studios Florida (though I did get a back lot tour of Universal L.A. a few years back, thanks to our friend Will). Universal was a lot of fun, and even more so because one of Cori's grandparents' neighbors (whew!) loaned us his employee guest pass card, so we got in free and were able to skip to the front of all the lines. Cori's grandma came with us, and it was just a really fun day. Here are some pictures (on our own digital camera, and not like the dinky disposable one I complained about from our trip to the Smokey Mountains). Enjoy.

In the very near future, Fossil Fuels Brewing Company will be releasing the world’s oldest bee

In the very near future, Fossil Fuels Brewing Company will be releasing the world's oldest beer -EVER.

Fossil Fuels™ Wheat Beer is being marketed as "The 45 Million Year Old Beer."

Obviously, man has not been on the earth for 45 millions years. And beer is man-made.

So this raises the question: How the heck can Fossil Fuels™ Wheat Beer be 45 million years old?

Answer: Jurassic Park.

Amber was popularized by the book and movie, Jurassic Park, in which the DNA extracted from dinosaur blood within the mosquito, was used to reproduce dinosaurs. But have no fear. Dinosaurs will not be roaming planet earth again - at least as far as I know.

However, technology has allowed for the extraction of DNA from animals and insects trapped in amber.

Allow me to introduce you to a real life "Jurassic Park" scientist - Raul Cano. (His research was a key inspiration for the “Jurassic Park” movies).

Back in 1995, Raul Cano (who has a doctorate in medical mycology) sparked quite an academic whirlwind when he announced in Science magazine that he had extracted DNA from an ancient Lebanese weevil entombed in amber 25-45 million years ago.

And, instead of using his powers of extraction for evil, Cano decided to use his for good - aka for BEER.

In an interview with The Washington Post, Cano - now the director of the Environmental Biotechnology Institute at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo - said, "I was going through my collection, going, 'Gee whiz -- this is pretty nifty. Maybe we could use it to make beer."

And beer they did make ... with several million year old yeast.

Using the 25-45-million-year-old yeast, Cano and a team of amateur brewers whipped up the inaugural batches of T-Rex Lager, Stegosaurus Stout, Jurassic Amber Ale, and Ancient Ale, and untapped them at the cast party for “Jurassic Park: The Lost World.”

Unfortunately for Cano & friends, the beers were not a success. BUT, this did not stop them from trying again.

Although almost a decade later, Fossil Fuels Brewing Company is ready to release another batch of 45 million year old beer. Its "first" will be the Fossil Fuels™ Wheat Beer.

According to the brewery's website, Fossil Fuels™ Wheat Beer is brewed with ancient yeast preserved in amber and revived after 45 million years to provide a distinguished and satisfying taste.

When? And Where? In the VERY NEAR FUTURE, Fossil Fuels Brewing Company will begin to distribute its beer to select bars and pubs around northern California and will be keeping an updated list of locations on its website.

ABOUT DR. PAUL CANO

Dr. Raul Cano founded the E.B.I. and is the director of the institute.

The Edge Of Night", "As The World Turns" u.a. Ihre scharfsinnige Darstellung der beiden Halbschwestern Frannie und Sabrina (eine Doppelrolle wohlbemerkt) in "As the World Turns" brachte ihr 1988 einen Emmy ein.

Es folgten Auftritte in TV-Filmen ("Money, Power, Murder", "The Last To Go"), die aber eher unbemerkt blieben.

Neben vielen Theaterrollen nimmt Moore immer wieder neue Filmprojekte in Angriff.

Finally I am able to continue our countdown here at the heap. of what we think are the movies which are instrumental and define the Sci Fi genre. If you've missed the first 15 movies on the list, check the entries out on the Lists page. Or if you just want to know the movies and spare yourself of my commentary hoopla, you can see a convenient text listing of the movies. So without further ado, let's get on with the next 5 movies!

15. The Fifth Element (1997)

It's the year 2263, and as expected, the future presented by the film is full of many technological advancements which typify sci fi films. Again, we are presented with a sort of dystopian world, where man has been forced to build (and survive) Upwards. The visuals of The Fifth Element certainly resonate of the futuristic vision of Blade Runner with flying cars. Unforgettable is the chase scene in which Korben Dallas (Bruce Willis) is able to escape police officers in a thrilling mid air series of events. But of course, this isn't what sets this movie apart. Despite all of these futuristic advances, the universe is still plagued by intergalactic strife, notably hate and war. The Fifth Element wraps an antiwar message alongside the inner turmoils of faith- shown through the perseverance of forgotten religion, and the struggle of the proverbial savior (Leeloo) to decide (after ALL of the trouble to save and preserve HER) if the world is worth saving. And of course, Chris Tucker as Ruby Rhod shows the absurdity of the media of the future. All of this delivered with MUCH comedy. IMDB: 7.3 Rotten Tomatoes: 70%

14. Jurassic Park (1993)

We'll stick with just the first one here. Based on Michael Crichton's novel, Jurassic Park takes the audience on an epic "You know, this might just be a bad idea" journey to a remote island where dinosaurs have been genetically cloned and raised. And of course, all for ultimate commercial gain. JP becomes the ultimate dream of any kid who grew up loving dinosaurs, only being able to see fossil evidence and scientific reproductions as evidence for their existence. The animatronic for the movie brings to life some spectacular beings, and the computerwork (for what was available back then) is superb. JP is on the list because it IS the elite film which uses dinosaurs as its main selling point, and manages to do it without being all too cheesy. Oh, and Spielberg and Co. manage to make it intriguing, educational, and TERRIFYING. The purpose? To again promote caution with our ever-increasing knowledge and capability- a la cloning. Also, commercial gain from such scientific endeavors are to be frowned upon (See Wayne Knight's character- you know... Newman!). IMDB: 7.8 Rotten Tomates: 86%

13. Fantastic Voyage (1966)

Most of the movies on the list are about the vast unknown with is the Universe we live in. We can only try to calculate things in relative and even sometimes abstract scale, as we are limited by our present technology and unable to travel like in space sci fi movies. Yet, we have such a relatively unknown and unpredictable entity right here on Earth- the human body. Fantastic Voyage takes you on such a journey, a journey to twist the fate of a dying man through literal intraveinal human intercession. Again, a visual, creative delight, as the audience journeys through "inner space" and sees how various organs are portrayed on the silver screen. IMDB: 6.8 Rotten Tomatoes: 91%

12. War of the Worlds (2005)

You want to talk about an epic tale of survival? Spielberg's film based on H.G. Wells' revolutionary novel assuredly thrilled audiences worldwide with it's American perception of the events which transpired in the novel. Its success is also based off of the 1938 radio broadcast as well as the 50's version because it captures the thematic issue of mass hysteria, whether it had to do with Nazi/Japanese infiltration during WWII, or possible secret operations by Russians during the Cold War. Of course, the novel itself played with such notions, predominately regarding the influx in immigration during the time period in England. Ironically (but perhaps purposefully... Spielberg's a smart one...) the film came out during the apex of our own immigration "crisis," as well as during the contining sensitive time period regarding acts of terrorism on our own soil. The themes could also be extended to racial and even sexual orientation demographics- any category of "threatening" difference. IMDB: 6.6 Rotten Tomatoes: 73%

11. Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956)

If you like the theme of exaggerated hysteria, especially during the Cold War standstill, then watching Invasion of the Body Snatchers will probably make you quite happy. The film captures a panoramic view of the effects of fear injecting media influence. As the main character, Dr. Bennell recounts the events of past days, one common theme ties all of the incidences together. Patients are claiming that their loved ones are impostors! And as it turns out, they're right! What ensues is a discovery of the replacement of the loved ones by unemotional clones which kill humans and spread the "seeds" of the "pod people." Clearly a stab at the portrayal of Soviet personalities, but also a sombering view of the effects of Communism on our often disregarded autonomous lifestyle. IMDB: 8.0 Rotten Tomatoes: 100%

And we're down to our last 10! You'll definitely see the next 5 by this weekend, and we'll release the last 5 one at a time next week! (Including an honorable mention post!).

Universal Pictures has officially begun casting for Jurassic Park IV, which will film in Kauai, Hawaii.Laura Dern confirmed her return to the franchise as Dr. Ellie Sattler here as Sam Neill will NOT return. We're told that the film is about the government who has trained dinosaurs to carry weapons and use them for battle purposes.

WTF?!? Dinosaurs with guns...they sure know how to slaughter a once great story. I'm a big fan of the original Jurassic Park movie, but not that crazy about the other films. JP2 Lost World had bad acting & JP3 was a slight improvement except the action scenes were poorly cut. Now JP4 got Dinosaurs with fricken lazer beams attached to their head, sounds like Dr.Evil's idea! LOL

I still remember watching the first Jurassic Park film in theaters 1993 when I was a kid, I was blown away then & I'm still blown away now. The acting, story & effects were revolutionary & there has been nothing AT ALL that could compare to it. The BEST dino-movie ever & very intelligent script with damn good acting. I think it was 1997, we went to the Museum of Natural History NY to see the Jurassic Park exhibit. They had all the animatronics there & it was really awesome to see the real McCoy! Damn, wish I took pictures! >_< Although I love many many movies, JP 1st will always be my top fav. It's unfortunate that the JP sequels are going lower & lower in quality acting & story writing. I wonder if JP4 is even worth watching...

Hey, here's a sneek peek of JP4!

Joking aside, now the 1st JP kicked butt-

If you're into horror/thrillers like me, you will most likely enjoy these titles. Here's what I've read so far this summer:

Jurassic Park

The Lost World

Andromeda Strain

The Relic

Meg: Primal Waters

With the exception of the Andromeda Strain, these stories all feature some mysterious creature that resurfaces and wreaks havoc on civilization. The Relic was my favorite thus far and I look forward to reading it's sequel, the Reliquary.
