I recently added a application on my iPhone at my brother’s suggestion, called Loopt. It all

I recently added a application on my iPhone at my brother's suggestion, called Loopt. It allows friends you invite and approve to see your location via the GPS device in your phone. If one of my friends happen to be near me, I can call their attention to this fact with a "ping."

I told Jesse that this reminded me of my first cell phone (which was also a gift from him) when I was 18. One of the first calls I made on that phone was to a friend I saw on the freeway. "Hey! I'm right behind you! Don't you just love cell phones?" And at that time, I had a sudden suspicion that the majority of the calls I'd make would be to people who were within a mile of me.

Well, and now?

Now I'm a receptionist. I sit at a switchboard and talk to people in the same building as me. But even my personal calls tend to run in a familiar vein. "I'm here, where are you?" "Hey, I'm at the door, let me in." "I'm parking, see you soon."

And sure this whole internet thing has opened the whole world up for me and given me friends who live very far away, but it now I want to visit them, I want to live next door to them, and borrow their books and never return them.

So all this technology hasn't really changed our idea of community, has it?

Apparently there was more to the "Nuts" tape about Obama than just the comment we saw... unaired footage apparently shows Jesse Jackson droppin the N-bomb in the midst of his crude remarks...

Way to go Jesse!

CHICAGO - The Rev. Jesse Jackson used the N-word during a break in a TV interview where he criticized presidential candidate Barack Obama, Fox News confirmed Wednesday.

The longtime civil rights leader already came under fire this month for crude off-air comments he made against Obama in what he thought was a private conversation during a taping of a "Fox & Friends" news show.

In additional comments from that same conversation, first reported by TVNewser, Jackson is reported to have said Obama was "talking down to black people," and referred to blacks with the N-word when he said Obama was telling them "how to behave."

Boy, am I ever tired of stupid demagogues. I am so tired of pussy, hypocrite public figures making statements condemning others for doing the exact same things that they themselves do.

Stupid fucking Jesse Jackson. Puss. I can’t take it anymore, I can’t take his constant moral outrage, his retarded posturing, and his fucking despicable behavior.

It was reported earlier this week that he, when he thought that he wasn’t being recorded, discussed wanting to cut off Barack Obama’s nuts. What is just now coming into the press is that he also referred to black folk as the n-word during an unaired portion of the clip (I hate the term “n-word,” but in the interest of fairness, since I don’t know if he said “nigga” or “nigger,” I can only go with what I have heard).

Personally, I don’t give a shit what he says, but I have a keen interest in hypocrisy in public figures. After all, this is the same Jesse Jackson who in 1984 called New York City “Hymietown.” This is the same Jesse Jackson who actually thought he could successfully boycott the Seinfeld Season 7 DVDs because Michael Richards’ racist rant. This is the same Jesse Jackson who wanted to boycott the Power Rangers for having a White Ranger (it’s not like there was a Black Ranger or anything). This is the same Jesse Jackson who wanted Imus fired for calling some women “nappy headed hos.” This is the same fucking Jesse Jackson who mere months ago, when discussing the prospect of Nas calling his new album “Nigger,” said that “using the ‘N word is morally offensive and socially distasteful,” going on to say that, “I wish he would use his talents to lift up and inspire, not degrade, making a mockery of racism.”

What the fuck is going on? How has this loon not disappeared yet? By his own stated standards, he has behaved in a way that’s “morally offensive and socially distasteful.”

Of course, Jesse Jackson is a classy dude, so he immediately issued an apology. "There really is no justification for my comments and I hope that the Obama family and the American public will forgive me. I also pray that we, as a nation, can move on to address the real issues that affect the American people." If there’s no justification for your comments, WHY THE FUCK DID YOU MAKE THEM, YOU PUSSY HYPOCRITE? YOU’RE A NATIONAL SPOKESPERSON, HAVE A LITTLE FUCKING DECORUM FOR CHRIST’S SAKE.

Naturally, the American public will forgive him, and his empty, meaningless calls to “move on and address the real issues” will go unheard because no one is supposed to hear them, and the statement itself is really nothing more than an attempt to trivialize a genuinely trivial action that points to a very untrivial hypocritical streak. The only thing that remains to be seen is if the NAACP will live up to their own declarations. While Jesse and the NAACP were getting their panties in a bunch over Nas’s album title, the national NAACP spokesman Richard McIntire said, “We will not support and we will not continually be assailed by other individuals who want to use that type of term in our presence.” I’m anxiously awaiting the announcement that the NAACP has come out against Jesse Jackson and stopped supporting him. I’m sure that will come any day now.

I’m curious though: when Jesse Jackson says something that offends the black community, does he have to apologize to a mirror?

Well, since after the London Bachelor, I followed up with the latest pictures of Shayne, much to the disdain of a number of people, I still thought I would share some of the latest updates I have seen on DeAnna and Jesse.

You problably know by this time that they have their own website, with a few pictures and dates of upcoming apperances on it. The site is DeAnna and Jesse As of July 18th, there were a number of updates to the website. Links to other pictures and videos on youTube, and announcement of a new website in August, and more pictures.

There is a series of pictures taken of them at the park in San Diego, but of course I can't bring the pictures here, but I can link you to the site. De and Jesse Of all the pictures, and there are about ten, only three or so have them NOT kissing! They report claims they were taken last week, about the 10th of July or so, just after they were finally able to go public with the romance.

This is the last picture of them that I found in my brief, and I do mean brief searching, I really didn't have time to look too much, it is a busy day with the copier and printer not working right, and I still have Design Star and Food Network Star recaps to write.

The date on this is today, but I think the quote said something about this being over the weekend at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Del Mar.

Found another story and link. Wedding Suit is a gift. MisterShop.com to furnish one of their beach wedding suits for bachelorette DeAnna's fiancé, Jesse. The groom will wear a white or tan linen suit to their destination wedding. This was posted on last Friday, the 11th.

Okay, so DeAnna and Jesse fans enjoy!

As most of you know by now, Jesse Jackson wants Obama’s nuts… I mean, wants to cut the

As most of you know by now, Jesse Jackson wants Obama's nuts... I mean, wants to cut them off, er, rather did want to cut them off, but now doesn't want to cut them off.

Ok, so now that we got that cleared up, lets get to the crotch crux of it...

I have been reading a great many blogs today, several newspapers, and even listened to a bit of Sirius Left...

Most of the comments about Obama's nuts have left me rather surprised. I am hearing this meme getting pushed that Jesse Jackson's statement wasn't actually a campaign mistake. No... because how could the Precious make a mistake?

No, these people are actually claiming that it was a brilliant campaign move... and came up with some sort of twisted rationale that I choose not to repeat because it honestly makes no logical sense to me and I would not do it justice.

I have one simple comment/question tho... Have they gone from simply drinking the koolaid to foregoing the water and just snorting it?

Ummm... no, Jesse Jackson screwed up. He knew it and was forced to apologize.

Jesse is a very proud man and, at the very least he sees himself as being extremely dignified. He is a Reverend and a Civil Rights Leader. A man who marched with Martin Luther King. A Leader of the African American community.

There is NO WAY IN HELL that Jesse Jackson embarrassed the hell out of himself, ate crow, and was forced to apologize to Barry on purpose. He would never ever, ever, ever, ever, ever do that. Ever.

So here are my observations...

Jesse Jackson has been kept out of the limelight by the Obama campaign. Obama has not wanted to seem like the "black" candidate, he wanted to make sure that he was seen simply as a candidate. The best way to destroy the ability to appear "post racial" is to have good ol JJ up front and center. They even went so far as to react in horror at being compared to Jesse Jackson in South Carolina. Bet that gave JJ some warm fuzzies.

In addition, Jesse Jackson rarely, if ever, makes public campaign appearances. This is purposeful and I am sure that the instructions to Jesse were direct, strong and to the point. Jesse is not one to avoid the camera... he likes the spotlight. Not as much as Rev. Al, but still, he is no wilting flower when it comes to public appearances.

No, Jesse has been relegated to the shadows. Jesse has been an incredibly powerful backroom strong arm politician and partisan, most notably with the members of the Congressional Black Caucus with which he has been BRUTAL. I am sure that he is not entirely pleased about being backstage instead of on it, even if he does understand.

I can also observe that the reaction out of Jesse is extremely similar to the reaction Bill Cosby got just a few years ago when he made some very similar speeches to Baracks Fathers Day "Baby Daddy" speech. I would say that the reactions to these two instances are virtually identical and come from the same place. It is much more likely that Jesse's reaction was genuine.

This statement by Jesse also essentially gets him a ticket to under the bus land where he can join every other notable person, organization and/or core Democratic principle that Barack has come into contact with. And no one intentionally goes to under the bus land...

Jesse is too proud to throw himself under the bus, especially when it gains Obama next to nothing or nothing at all.

Not Possible.

Sorry.

"I'm having my first gallery opening of sorts.... I'm having a ton of people there to kick off a 3 month showing of about 15 of my photos on the gallery wall there. Hope you can make it!

That's from Jesse. I can't believe he could winnow his way down to fifteen. But digital has changed my life. I don't take 20 photos and finish the roll with my pets before developing at the store. I take a hundred or so and get rid of half of them and send five in an email to family and friends.

Jesse Jackson was picked up by Fox News' microphones on Wednesday saying that he'd like to, in essence, castrate Barack Obama.

[wp_caption id="attachment_68" align="aligncenter" width="265" caption="I WILL CUT YOU!"][/wp_caption]

He said this in reference to Sen. Obama's "talking down to black people" on religious issues. Hilarity then ensued, and the news networks have been having a hayday covering this story. ABC News even had a segment where they tried to determine why Rev. Jackson said these remarks.

DIANE SAWYER: This morning, Jesse Jackson caught on an open mic with colorful and cutting remarks about Barack Obama. A new interview this morning and we have it here.

7:02am

SAWYER: But let's begin right now with the race for '08 and those words about Barack Obama from Jesse Jackson, one of his main boosters and of course one of the most prominent leaders in the African American community. Senior political correspondent Jake Tapper is in Washington to launch it all. Jake?

JAKE TAPPER: Good morning, Diane. Well, you know it's said in Washington a gaffe is when a politician accidentally tells the truth. Well, I think we need a new term for when an open microphone catches the private conversations of a public official as happened with Jesse Jackson talking privately, or so he thought, about his view of how Obama talks to the black community.

JESSE JACKSON: See, Barack been talking down to black people on this faith based-- I want to cut his [bleep] off.

TAPPER: Unaware his microphone was on before an interview, Jesse Jackson expressed anger that Barack Obama has, in Jackson's view, been overly critical of the African-American community in a video that aired on "The O'Reilly factor." Listen again to Jackson's comments.

JACKSON: See, Barack been talking down to black people on this faith based -- I want to cut his [bleep] off.

TAPPER: Jackson quickly apologized for his remarks.

JACKSON: They were hurtful and wrong. That's the whole point. And that when you make mistakes, you should not equivocate. You should be quick to go on the offensive and not try to be evasive.

TAPPER: But Jackson also gave voice to a frustration among some in the black community with Obama's Cosby'esque, tough love approach to black America.

SENATOR BARACK OBAMA: More than half of all black children live in single parent households. Only we, as parents, can make sure that when our sons grow up, they treat women with respect.

TAPPER: Jackson's vulgar language notwithstanding, he is far from alone in thinking Obama needs to put the struggles of black America within a larger, societal context.

DONNA BRAZILE (ABC News consultant): What he is trying to offer to Senator Obama is, hey, let's talk about all of the issues facing urban America, all of the issues facing the African-American community.

TAPPER: Obama's campaign said the senator accepted Jackson's apology, but Congressman Jesse Jackson Jr. was not so forgiving, saying of his father, quote, "I'm deeply outraged and disappointed in Reverend Jackson's reckless statements about Senator Barack Obama. He should keep hope alive and any personal attacks and insults to himself." Now, the politics of this are complicated. It probably does not hurt Obama as he tries to appeal to white independents and moderates to be seen as alienating Jackson for doling out tough love to the black community. On the other hand, Obama will address the NAACP next week and he might want to keep in mind that Jackson's frustrations are not just Jackson's. Diane?

7:01am tease

CHRIS CUOMO: And a big political headline this morning: Jesse Jackson is in a TV studio, on mic but not on camera yet. Heard discussing Barack Obama, accusing him of talking down to the black community.

SAWYER: Yes, it was another one of those comments, caught when he thought he was off microphone and we are going to get a chance to talk to Reverend Jackson. He is standing by an exclusive interview coming up now.

CUOMO: Clearly a big supporter. Wants to clear this up as soon as possible.

7:06am

CHRIS CUOMO: Reverend Jackson is at our Indianapolis affiliate, WRTV standing by to try and speak to us today. Technical difficulties. Hopefully, he's hearing me on a phone. Reverend, can you hear me?

JESSE JACKSON: Good morning, I can hear you.

ABC GRAPHIC: Jesse Jackson Responds: Apologizes for Verbal Flub

CUOMO: Beautiful. Great to have you here. The situation is obvious. Clearly, you're a big supporter of Barack Obama, but clearly you used some very tough language. Basic question, do you like Barack Obama?

JACKSON: Very much. And I'm a long-standing supporter and because of my commitment to what he represents and the campaign, I was quick to apologize for any offense, any harm, any hurt. He was quick to respond very graciously and that's the good thing. My anguish is over. The limitations of the most fervent faith-based programs, because there is the issue of faith, hope and substance. With bridges collapsing and levees being overrun we need to focus on the cause item of some real commitment to reinvest in urban and rural America.

CUOMO: You're bringing up --

JACKSON: And that would be government-based and in some sense private sector based.

CUOMO: You're bringing up primary issues that are certainly very important to the African-American community. Let me ask you a question about context here. Is the emotion that you betrayed in your comments about Barack Obama, is that represent [sic] a larger frustration with him within the African-American community?

JACKSON: I don't think so. I think he enjoys great support because he is the leader in this rather transformative, redemptive moment and yet within the black community there are some severe structural crises-- Infant mortality rate is higher. Life expectancy is shorter. The most children in school with teachers less than three years experience, the highest murder rate and now the need to revive a ban on assault weapons, I mean, these things of great substance must be addressed, I think, with more passion and he is committed to that proposition. I think it deserves to have a greater emphasis.

(Source)

Why do people try to analyze other people's actions? I'm sorry, but people make mistakes. It's part of being human. I realize that what Rev. Jackson said was out of character and, honestly, a pretty heinous thing to say; but at the same time we all know he's going to get away with it. Let's all just skip the bullshit and go on with our lives. The man said what was on his mind, which he's allowed to do thanks to our first amendment. Jackson's apologized and has been outwardly showing his support for Sen. Obama, so let's quit making a big deal over it and move on. McDonalds' is waiting, America. Go get your Big Mac's.

Speaking of McDonalds, when the fuck will they be bringing back the Arch Deluxe. I really miss that burger. :(

I have to come clean and admit I totally got into this season’s Bachelorette. I saw the end

I have to come clean and admit I totally got into this season's Bachelorette. I saw the ending of DeAnna's stint on the Bachelor when she got jilted by Brad who came off more to me as "duh-boy". Then I saw her on Ellen where they informed her that she was the next Bachelorette. Coupled with the fact that my husband had quite a bit of traveling to do the past few month and that most of it fell on Mondays, after putting our son to bed for the evening, I sat down, started surfing the TV and voila...I got hooked. I think DeAnna is adorable and actually think we would be friends if we knew each other. And now that she chose Jesse, I think those two would hang out my husband and I considering my husband's love of extreme sports (www.fierce.com)!!! So back to biz...the last Bachelorette I watched in full was Trista and Ryan (maybe I'm a sucker for the underdog?) but after the whole k-trillion dollar wedding extraveganza broadcast on Primetime televsion, I kinda got turned off. Now that the winner of DeAnna's heart has been revealed and this season has come to its conclusion, I have to say that this was one of the best seasons yet. I personally thought I would have chosen Jason but after the visit to her hometown, I could understand why she chose Jesse. I too fell in love and married someone that I thought "wasn't my type" but boy was that a misconception. Ten years later, a beautiful little boy, realizing our dreams...showed me how close-minded I really was to have such a stringent view as to my "type".

So anyway...got off on a tangent...what I think I find hilarious about the Bachelorette more than the Bachelor is seeing all these guys competing for the love of the same girl. I would say that all the guys are attractive in their own way, with exception of the occasional weirdo or smart-ass, and I can't imagine they can't find a date. Then again, maybe they pack their bags on a dare or just for shits and giggles as an old Cleveland friend of mine, Brian Hrouda (photo right), did when he was a suitor of Trisa Sutter (then Rhen). He was one of the most sought after guys all through school so when I saw him on the show, I knew he was just looking for his 15 seconds of fame...which is all he got because he was the one that told Trista he wasn't interested in staying. It was obvious to me that when he found out that he didn't need to be as desperate as he was coming off to be, he exited stage left! Good going Brian!

Regardless, the season was entertaining. My husband's father is 100% Greek so all the references were familiar and fun. Although Eric, the one Greek suitor was completely obnoxious and gave me the eebie-jeebies and I'm glad he got the boot! Graham, while attractive, is every woman's worst nightmare with his lethargic attitude and lack of ability to express himself. I actually felt bad for Jeremy although he knew what he was signing up for. Jason changed my opinion of single men with children. And I think those are the only ones worth commenting about...proving the rest were booted off appropriately...which leads me back to my comment that DeAnna and I would be friends......(exhale)...

Oh...one last comment: I cracked the hell up when they visited DeAnna's hometown and Jessie actually nugged DeAnna's YaYa and then "blew it up" afterwards. I rewound that a couple of times crying laughing as I envisioned me doing that to my fater-in-law when we first met. Although my father-in-law (Pops) IS and always will be TOTALLY NUGG-able !!!

Fred Thompson would be a better president than Mitt Romney, Tom Tancredo or any Dem, but he is not a conservative. Melanie Morgan is a good columnist, but she's wrong on this one. Sorry, Melanie, no offence, but you're wrong on Fred Thompson - he's not a conservative.
Thompson is a RINO because:
1) He voted for the Most Favoured Nation status for China, thus allowing them to receive that status and to join the WTO. This bad decision can be reversed only if America withdraws from the WTO (but it shouldn't). The Chinese are now harming the American people by:
a) cheating (trade-wise), causing America to indebt itself because of its annual $250 bn trade deficit with China;
b) undermining the American industry; and
c) buying tanks, ships, planes and missiles for the dollars they've earned by exporting their inferior products.
Tom Tancredo, along with ultraconservative anti-Communists Duncan Hunter and Jesse Helms, voted against MFN status for China.
2) Thompson would reduce the American nuclear arsenal, if elected to the WH.
3) Thompson would give the US military only 4.5% of GDP.
4) He is opposed to a constitutional amendment that would ban homosexual marriages.
5) He is opposed to federal abortion bans. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=P5a_Fpu_8KE
Real conservatives, like me, would advocate federal statutes banning abortion and an anti-abortion amendment to the federal constitution.

Ahhhh its been a week in the studio and things are shaping up quite nicely! Lots to talk about... let's get to it! WARNING: HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE POST!

[caption id="attachment_43" align="aligncenter" width="186" caption="Insinner"][/caption]

Quick intro of the band members:
Jamie: Guitar
Jesse: Backup Vocals, Guitar
Lee: Bass
Brent: Drums
Me: Lead Vocals, Keyboards/Keytar
James North: Our producer <-- I consider him a band member whilst we're in the studio :D

Guide guitars were done Tuesday morning and Brent started recording drums and knocked over 2.75 songs (ie. nearly finished his 3rd) in half a day! I guess his practice seriously pays off. I mean this guy is determined! And the band is so lucky to have him, especially with the style of music we play. Brent practices a good 4 hours a day, it blows your mind how solid he is at drumming. I mean we even added and changed up parts of the songs we're recording (with James, our producers, help. More on him later) and Brent had no worries changing it up. So on Day 4, Thursday, Brent was done at about noon. We messed about with our songs a lot on Wednesday and Thursday.

Lee started recording Bass in the afternoon of Thursday, but we had to leave early on Thursday so Lee only got about three quarters of a song done. And Lee finished up his 3rd song today, Friday, even though we had to leave early again. James pretty much altered all the bass parts being recorded and made them groovier and cleaner, basically more effective. It all sounds really awesome. So that's where we're at now.

Before i get to the producer, I might mention a few other events, and maybe share some great Insinner EP Studio quotes! (WARNING: Quotes May be Offensive)

[caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="96" caption="Turkey!"][/caption]

Event 1: The Turkey
There's a wild turkey that hangs around James' Studio that he's been trying to get his hands on for years. We were all sitting outside on James' porch eating lunch when the turkey came around. And it was trying to sneak up on James. So I handed James a huge stick and when it came close James swung so hard for it but missed. In the process he dropped his lunch on the ground and snapped the stick lol

So Jamie and I have taken it upon ourselves to catch this turkey. So on Thursday we had a Cornetto wrapper with a bit of chocolate on it. Jamie hid himself behind some chairs that have covers on them so you can't see between their legs or anything, and Jamie covered himself with a chair cover and hid behind these chairs. I would get the turkey's attention and drop the wrapper near Jamie and walk away. Once i walked far enough away the turkey would think it was safe and come and have a look at the wrapper, and that's when Jamie would lunge and grab it... Theoretically.
We came so close one time! The turkey walked up to the wrapper and stuck its head around the chair that Jamie was hiding behind. Apparently it just stared at Jamie for a moment and he jumped up but it flew away. So close!
Then today (Friday) we tried the same technique but it failed again. So i came up with the idea to hide behind the chairs WITHOUT the chair cover covering Jamie. Instead use the chair cover as a net! But unfortunately the turkey was being too cautious so we didn't think we had a chance. That was, until Jamie got fed up and jumped up and chased the turkey into a corner! HAHA! The turkey didn't know what to do! But just as Jamie went for it with the "net" the turkey flew high up in the air and over the fence we cornered it in with. Dang... We'll get him on Monday...

[caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="135" caption="Tuning Fork... set at 3682hz lol"][/caption]

Event 2: 3682
All throughout our recording I would hear this occasional ringing noise, it almost sounded like a telephone. I'd never heard it before in my life. I noticed it on Tuesday and asked Jesse if he could hear it, he said he couldn't. I thought nothing of it. But today I asked James and Lee if they could hear it, because I just wanted to be sure that it wasn't coming through in our mix. It only came occasionally and it was a lot stronger in some parts of the songs. So James went through the songs and asked me where I hear it and we found a section where I could hear it constantly. James and Lee looked at me funny and said they couldn't hear anything. But it was clear as day! Well, i'd been sitting in this seat on the right side of the room everyday, so we thought it might be that spot in the studio. So I got up and walked to different areas of the room and I could still hear it when they played the section of the music that I found it prominent in. Then James goes, "Oh... that's fucked", before he explained that it might be a form of hearing loss and could escalate into a serious case if it was in fact what he thought it was. Basically he said that there could be a frequency that my ears are seriously irritated by and therefore are ringing. So to figure this out he decided to find out what exactly was creating the "bad" frequency. He went through the drums: toms, snare, kick, hi-hat then the cymbals. We narrowed it down to 1 exact cymbal that would set off the ringing. It was narrowed down so much so that we went into the recording room, he picked up the cymbal, smashed it and the ringing began! Lee asked if he could narrow down the exact frequency in Hertz, James said he could. So he went back to the recording, grabbed a section where that particular crash cymbal was hit, and scanned which frequency was the most prominent. It was 3682hz. He then opened a tone producer and made it produce that exact tone. This is where it went downhill, he had the studio monitors turned down, but then he went to turn them up, but he turned it up waaay too loud and that frequency hit my like a punch to the gut. My head felt like it was about to cave in and I had to cover my ears and I screamed for them to stop. They turned the volume all the way down, as in they muted to sound, and i felt so sick. Like i was gonna pass out, throw up, I was hot flushed and everything. Then I the frequency came back again and I was telling him to turn it off, and James is like "It is off" and I could still hear it. It was insanely shit. I had to go outside for a breath of fresh air. So uhh... gonna get my ears checked. James was telling me that there are special ear plugs I can get custom made that cut out a certain frequency band and that'll prevent any more hearing loss. Good idea James.

Event 3: The drive home
UGH! The drives home are gay! Granted, I don't actually drive home I get a lift off Brent, but I feel sorry for him. The studio is just passed Brisbane city and we have to drive there and back, in peak hour traffic everyday and it's pretty crap. I don't see how some people do it every single day. That's it really lol

Quotes:
Quote 1: "Insert a tube?" - James messing up our song title "Incertitude"
Quote 2: "Ahh I dropped the soap" - Lee or Jesse; "Yeah pick it up and I might drop a cock in your arse" - Me
Quote 3: "Lolololololololololololololololololol" - Lee being Lee
Quote 4: "Yeah you bang your drums more than your girlfriend" - Jamie (Maybe)
Quote 5: "It's like a huge wall of 'F*** OFF'" - James' explanation in technical terms
Quote 6: "We should get a tuning fork that rings at 3682hz and chase Jace around the place" - Lee

[caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="376" caption="James North - The man himself"][/caption]

James North
Anywayz, so i'll do a bit of a spiel (yeah, coz this entry needs it *sarcasm*) on our producer James North. James is pretty awesumo. He's a really kind guy with a sense of humour that can handle our bands crazy ramblings (trust me, you gotta be mentally tough to spend a day with our band, let alone a week or two!). Not only that he's EXTREMELY talented at producing music (not to mention being an amazing multi-instrumentalist). This guy knows exactly what needs to be done to boost the effect of a song. He's brutally honest, to the point that he's convinced us to ditch some of our favourite riffs and restructured some of, what we thought to be, our strongest songs. But the songs have seriously taken an awesome turn, they are so much more powerful than they could ever have been without James. He has taken our music to another level, and not only that, he has shared with us golden information and techniques in terms of songwriting and the music industry. We are going to walk away from this EP with more than just an EP, we will walk away with precious knowledge of where to go from here and we will forever have an invaluable contact.
Now i'd like to be corny and say "we have also made a new friend", but I dunno if it's true or not. Now this is by no means a quick stab at James, allow me to explain!

James is the type of guy the band (i assume) and myself would like to hang out with, I mean it feels as though he fits right in with us and vice versa. He eats lunch with us and shit and we talk about random stuff and its great the sort of relationship we have with him. It feels like he likes us and I know we all like him, but I can't help but think that we are probably just another band to him. Now, don't get me wrong, he hasn't done anything to give this impression, but thinking that someone who makes money off us truly gives a damn about us, our future and our music is just the kinda thing that has always screwed this band over before. James has what we need to get where we want to be; the knowledge of the industry, contacts, and his production skills. Not only that he's just a cool guy.

Now, with this EP, the main thing we want to get is find some sort of management to push us in the right direction, seeing as that is the weakest part of this band at the moment: Direction. I was even suggesting to Brent if we should possibly ask James if he would be interested in managing us. But I came home today and looked on the internet and saw all the other stuff he's been doing with his friends/partners and it just seems as though he's got his own stuff to do. And it really kinda gets me down, i don't know why. It's like, in the hands of James North, we'll get to where we want to be, but it feels like the only way we could do that is if we had enough cash to throw at him, don't get me wrong, its not because he gives the vibe that he's money hungry, but because he seems like he's got his own projects to take care of. And it *seems* like he gives a damn about our music and us, but realistically he produces musicians all year and i've only known him for a few weeks so how would i truly know if he cared? So I dunno if i'll pop him the question or not... (the question about management, I'm not considering marriage or anything lol)

Anywayz, I guess it feels a bit better that I got all that out of my system...

Ciao for now...

July 17, 2008

By Tammy R. Lawson

I was quite amused by some of the stories that made news last week-two in particular.

First, District Attorney Mary Lacy of Boulder, Colorado, sent a two-page letter to John Ramsey about his murdered daughter, JonBenet, stating, "...we do not consider your immediate family including you, your wife, Patsy, and your son, Burke, to be under any suspicion in the commission of this crime."

Was that not a noble gesture? It's been 12 years since JonBenet died, and Patsy expired two years ago due to ovarian cancer at the age of 49.

While attending junior high school and growing up in the same town as she, I viewed a photo in the newspaper of Miss Paugh being crowned supreme at the state's pageant competition; her daughter's face later clichéd that of the hometown girl an entire state was proud of, even if she did wear too much eyeliner.

That family could have been cleared years ago; DNA evidence was found on the girl that didn't match any family member. In a court of law, that would have been reasonable doubt any defense lawyer could have toyed with just for fun.

But since a court of law was never assembled, a court of public opinion (fueled by unscrupulous journalists reporting innuendo close to the case as factual truth) did so while the district attorney's office and police stood idly by. Public officials knew they mishandled the case from hour one and needed a scapegoat.

At least the office finally apologized, and some would quip they are the sorriest.

How treacherous it was to watch the family's demise, but at least the living can take solace in knowing Patsy Paugh Ramsey died with her character fully intact. There are those living in Boulder who can't even claim that.

Now, here's a piece of friendly advice:

If you are using a microphone in a public forum and do not have complete control of the on/off switch, beware, for you never know who is listening.

Having written that, Jesse Jackson should have known better. Not realizing his mic was on, the modern-day quote maker himself whispered vulgar things during a Fox News program about wanting to cut off parts of Barack Obama's manmade anatomy, and according to the media outlet, we have yet to hear the worst.

Maybe the reverend should rephrase his infamous quote accordingly: "Keep hope alive, and bring me a knife!"

In the same breath, he accused the fellow Chicagoan of "talking down to black folks" by giving moral lectures to African Americans. Oh, the irony.

Jackson could easily be paralleled for his remarks and this was a prime instance of practicing what he doth not preach. After all, Jackson ran for president twice during the Democratic presidential primary in 1984 and again in 1988, so instead of demeaning his fellow man, realizing that he may have helped pave the way for the first black American to possibly be the next leader of the United States might fair him better.

Jackson once said, "If my mind can conceive it and my heart can believe it, I know I can achieve it." If so, the next time he hypocritically dines with the presidential candidate, secret service will be removing all sharp objects from the table as Obama sports a cup holding something other than coffee.

- said Obama's "telling n-word's how to behave" and that he wants to "cut his nuts out." (A former slave punishment.)

- claimed Obama was "acting white". (Whatever that means.)

- referred to Jewish people as "hymies" and to New York City as "Hymietown".

- cheated on his wife.

- fathered a child out of wedlock and secretly used the money of his "non-profit" Rainbow/Coalition to pay the mother $40,000 in "moving expenses".

- money laundering, accounting scandals, Enron contributions, racketeering ...

Jesse Jack-ass-son Lets loose his tru feelings again.

In his latest round of Hoof in mouth, the not so Rev. Jesse Jackson has made an ass out of himself. He has shown that if you don't think before you speek, your true fellings will come out.

He isn't really sorry for what he said about Barack Hussien Obama. He is just sorry he got caught, he said what he meant. He feels that Osama I mean Obama, is a sell out, that he is cow towing to the white voters that were supporting Hillary. He said it right the first time "I didn't Know the mic was on", well you would thing he would have learned his lesson. I mean if you don't want someone to hear it, don't say it, mic or no mic.

Where is the great and mighty racist Al Sharpton, he should be all over this. And I can't wait to see if we get a sound bite from the ever popular Jeremiah Wright, this is right up his alley. And what about the NAACP, if a white guy had said these things they would be all ove this like stink on shit. But because a black man said it, it was a slip up and should be brushed away like so much spilled milk.

Now there is a double standard if I have ever seen one. And I have seen a few.

So, Jesse revealed an interesting desire regarding Barack: "I wanna cut his nuts off". This raises the question as to what exactly Jesse wants to do with the nuts. Like, does he just want them as a souvenir? Or does he collect these? He was a bit ambiguous in respect to his motive.

My personal theory involves a man from Japan. This man appeared on Takeshi's Castle, where it was announced that his occupation is to make wind chimes from neutered pet remnants. This is why Jesse wanted Barack's nuts, so he could have them made into a wind chime. If he had waited closer to Christmas, he could have made his wish known to Santa.

By now many of you blog lovers have heard about Jesse Jackson whispering some nonsense about "cutting Barack Obama's nuts off".....

(I think this is a very jarring statement...but at the same time hilarious...yes I giggled the first time I heard it..hehe nuts..hehe)

If you have not seen the video clip...check it out below:

NOW!! the drama doesn't stop there folks..... - WAIT!! -

Ok... does anyone ELSE think that it's wrong for a revered to say "cut your nuts off" ??????

Later on...the good ole' revered felt bad for making this statement and not to mention embarrassed for being made out as a jerk by FOX NEWS (the most trust worthy news sources ever....NOT!!!!)

Anywayz,,,let's not get into my thoughts on FOX NEWS - we are focusing on the man who said "cut his nuts off"

So ...The good ole' rev. figured he would apologize to Obama for making that statement.....

WHY!!??!??!?!?!?! Why apologize??!?!

Can we all say "Hypocrite"?!?!??! (arghhh!!!)

Check out Jesse Jackson's apology to Obama below:

Why apologize??!?!?

If that's how you feel - go with it Rev!

I think Jackson should have said: "America I am sorry I whispered that about Obama but yes, I'd like to cut that man's nuts off"

But hey blog world .....thats just lil ole' me....

To end this off....here's Obama accepting Jackson's apology below.......

I give this whole thing a big "BLAH!!! WTVR!!!" because Jesse Jackson just wants to be in the news again, Obama is getting more fame as "the nice guy", and FOX NEWS still sux!

muahz readers! and don't forget to watch your nutz!
