One Week by Barenaked Ladies-When I listen to some parts of this song, I cannot help but to think of myself. To be specific, I do indeed find it funny when you're mad, I am the kind of guy who just might laugh at a funeral, and people sure have gotten POed because of my sense of humor. I understand that's not necessarily  what the song's all about, but that's what I think whenever I hear it.

Simple Melody by Avishai Cohen-This song intrigues me in several ways. First of all, it's a song played entirely on the bass, and yet it's incredibly complex (at least for my taste). Secondly, it, like no other song, can make me feel calm and happy. And lastly, I never get tired of it.

Life is Beautiful by Sixx AM-Very simply stated, this is one of my favorite rock songs of all time. I suppose it also has a good message: that losing something you value causes you to see other things in a whole new perspective, but really, I'm putting this song on my list because of how much I love it.

The Warmth by Incubus-So far as songs go, this is one of the most unique ones I know of (and it's uniqueness doesn't compromise how good it is!) The Warmth has a beat that makes it sound somewhat like a Matisyahu song, and yet it's a rock song. The song also features some nice lyrics:

"Don't let the world bring you down
Not everyone here is that f!#*ed up and cold

Remember why you came and while you're alive
Experience the warmth before you grow old"

It's a pretty good message and a pretty good way to say it, too.

Waste by Phish-Any song written by a band that occupies 9Gs of space on Josh Rosner's iPod has to be good. It's a slow song with a mellow tone that makes me feel, to put it in a rather cliche way, at peace with myself. I also happen to love the chorus, which repeats, "come waste your time with me".  I, personally, value wasting time quite a bit, especially with friends, so please, come waste your time with me.

Sometimes, all you need is a song to take you to another world ~

I read somewhere - "Music gives us an escape from our drama filled, teenage heart ache driven lives, a chance to actually be a part of something amazing. It gives us something amazing to believe in." - Whoa!

My list of the most amazing songs/bands which make me feel invisible. Not hard, not loud, not distorting, just plain simple and magical !! The deep, meaningful lyrics allow you to like and imagine anything you want, without saying the point of it directly. My new age rock playlist - 

1 - Lifehouse. I don't care if the band is labelled as Christian or not. Nobody else does either. Its about the music they make. Its beautiful. The first song I listened to was Breathing. I fell in love with it right there!! Other favourites include Whatever it Takes and Everything.  

2 - Goo Goo Dolls. Iris. Beautifully depressing !! Check out the band playing at the concert in the rain!! Whoa*

3 - Hoobastank. The Reason. The End. ( Don't you just admire the video ?! ).

4 - The Fray. How to Save a Life. If this reminds you of Grey's Anatomy, this is it. It lost to Dani California by RHCP at the Grammy's. The verses of the song describe an attempt by an adult to confront a troubled teen. In the chorus, the singer laments that he himself was unable to save a friend because he did not know how. Its just beautiful. 

5 - Thunder by Boys Like Girls. ( Yeah, I know its a dumb name for a Band, but whatever! ) The acoustic version beats all other versions. I love every second of this song. Sucha beautiful voice as well!! Check out the song here.

O quinto CD da banda Incubud, A Crow Left of the Murder, algo que em português livre seria 'o corvo que deixou seu bando'. "Murder" é coletivo de "crow". O nome faz referência contra à obediência e além de passar uma mensagem de política liberal. No clipe de "Megaloniac" é possível perceber essa mensagem, onde figuras como Hitler, Bush, Mussolini e Stalin aparecem. Também pode ser interpretado como a separação de uma pessoa do seu coletivo mental para o individual.

O álbum alcançou o 2° lugar da Billboard e teve singles como "Megalomaniac", "Talk Show on Mute" "Agoraphobia" e "Sick Sad Little World" que foram um dos mais tocados em 2004. "Megalomaniac" ficou em primeiro lugar na "Modern Rock Tracks".

Today I ran for an hour at 8:30pm. It was quite exciting to run at night. Warmer, that's for sure. This morning I woke up stepped outside and walked right back in. It was about, err, 40F degrees. Too cold for me.

During my run, I browsed through a few albums. Many of those albums' tempos were way off, but suprisingly, the one Incubus album I dislike most, happened to have beats most in tune with my running style. So I added a few songs to my marathon playlist. Go check it out.

The band is on hiatus for a year.  Mike enrolled in Harvard to study music and music history while Charles up above decided to take an art course in LA last July.

Here is an article about their back-to-school endeavour: 

"Summer vacation is almost over for two members of Incubus.

With their band enjoying a year on hiatus, singer Brandon Boyd has enrolled at a Los Angeles-area art college for the fall term, while guitarist Mike Einziger heads to Harvard.

"[I'm going] back to school, to prove to Dad that I'm not a fool," Boyd, 32, tells PEOPLE, borrowing a line from the Adam Sandler comedy Billy Madison, about a man in his 30s who returns to the classroom.

Why now? "I never really had the time in the past 12 years," says Boyd. "I actually left the beginnings of art school to go on tour."

As for Einziger, 32, he was looking for a challenge. "It will be the first time in my whole life that I've ever gone to school because I wanted to go. I'll appreciate it a lot more than I ever did as a kid," says the guitarist, who spent the last year writing his first orchestral composition, which will be performed in Los Angeles next month.

Einziger will study music and science. Boyd will focus on painting and sculpture. Although Boyd's artwork has appeared in Incubus videos and he has published two art books, the singer says he has "a need to humble myself in the presence of other artists who are younger, better and hungrier than I am. I think it will do good things for my ego."

The musicians don't, however, plan to partake in the non-academic side of the college experience. "If I was the old guy trolling for freshman on campus, that would be really weird," laughs Boyd. "I'm probably not going to be experiencing too much of that."

Incubus performs on the VH1 Rock Honors tribute to The Who, which airs Thursday, July 17 at 9 p.m. "
