長久下來各種產品的未來趨勢、銷量預測，米山公啟也都能略知一二！最重要的是，長久下來也可以知道哪隻股票會漲了！

聽說巴菲特小時候的時候，撿了一堆汽水瓶蓋，和其他小孩不一樣的事，蒐集的目的就是為了觀察哪一種汽水的銷量最好、最受歡迎！

坦白說，我也想要如法炮製，所以我強迫自己在騎摩托車的時候，或者在走路的時候觀察路人，觀察什麼呢？

有時候看他們的穿著、看他們使用的東西，每一次挑選一個主題來觀察，連我都很佩服我自己做出這種事情！

但是計畫顯露出失敗，我實在太容易分心了，加上沒有認真的作紀錄，要不然現在都有些心得了？

我逐漸了解到，原來對於趨勢敏感的人，本身就是熱衷於這些事情之中，喜歡看電影的人必定會注目在電視上播放電影預告片。想要了解趨勢流行，還需要加把勁，下好功夫才行～

上禮拜週末在京華城的電影院看了「超級賣座的國片」-- 海角七號，

會想去看是因為朋友不斷地推薦，還說看了兩次，正準備要去看第三次，

加上新聞不斷吹捧的結果，我的想法是：「好吧！來看看這是什麼鬼？！」。

但其實這部片的劇情蠻普通的，單純由甘草人物的趣味對話，來吸引目光。

我喜歡片中人物的刻劃手法，真實而不夢幻，坦率而直接，

有別於現在的連續劇或電影中，常常把主角本身的個性弄得稀奇古怪，或者非常的夢幻美好，這感覺好不真實。

劇中的理事長曾經說道，恆春的海真美.........，但是大範圍的恆春景色卻很少見。

而由子與阿嘉的感情為啥會莫名其妙的產生情愫呢？

我曾聽到某些影評認為，海角七號雖然賣座，但這不代表這就是國片應有的水準！

也許大家都曾一面倒的支持〈海角七號〉，並禁止在網路上散佈或批評此片，

但其實熱血的民族主義派通常都是阻礙國家前進的力量，更何況這些人不曾下載電影過？！

如果〈海角七號〉不是一部喜劇片，而是充滿許多難解、沉悶的對白，則會創造如此高的票房嗎？

我開始覺得 魏德聖導演 像是 王建民 了，指的是在新聞媒體版面上面，

同時期的國片〈飄浪青春〉卻怎沒受到民族主義者的愛載呢？就如同在海外打球的台灣選手，唯獨王建民佔據最多版面，

話雖如此，聽說〈海角七號〉要拍前傳了，想必魏德聖導演一定承受著許多壓力吧！

劇情像是典型的「達康」教育題材，喚醒了2000年投資網路事業創投們心中的痛！

Landshark 代表著在網路狂飆時期，備受投資人注目的新興公司，

很諷刺的，這家公司撐不到半年資金就燃燒殆盡，股價跌到低於1美元，終究是等著被整併收場。

倘若一家公司的自由現金流量穩定，並且持續的增加，至少可以知道以下三點：

1. 可運用自由現金流量償債、收購競爭對手或是分發股利
2. 不必為擔心籌措資金而忙得焦頭爛額
3. 股價可能有叫好的表現

還記得《這小子，讓川普讚嘆！》的作者 Cameron Johnson 的主張，

從小規模起步，找到一項營運成本很低，但能博得好口碑的事業，就能在創業之路取得先機！

小規模的事業體，獲利模式容易掌控，並運用現金流，把賺來的錢投資在對事業有幫助的標的，

這就是一個正向循環！

我常覺得從電影之中來了解一步小說的內容是最快的方式，但偏偏大多數的小說翻拍電影都拍得不好！

如果一個演員的渲染力夠強的話，應該是可以為導演的處理手法加分。

飾演老年時期 Briony Tallis 的 Vanessa Redgrave，在敘述為何要給予一個不同於事實的結局時，

給予了一種想法，我們能試圖從一個不完美的結局中獲得什麼樣的希望和滿足感呢？

也許大多數的人喜歡美好的結局，是出於這個目的吧！

對人生充滿希望、期待也發生在自己身上，儘管一切多麼的不切實際啊。

然而 Vanessa Redgrave 的演技卻讓我認同，體驗現實生活中無法得到的幸福而如此處理的手法！

這不是逃避或者軟弱，而是出於人性的關懷，

兩種不同版本的結局，都存在著犧牲者的角色，最後海邊的場景，充滿了 Briony Tallis 的想像，

也呼應了本片 Atonement.

There's been an astonishing amount of commentary surrounding the recent releases of the Microsoft Seinfeld ads and the new "I'm a PC" campaign. I've read hundreds of comments in blogs and forums lately and I'm staggered at how pathetic most of them are. As a Mac user ( I have 5, plus a bunch of iPods and other Apple bits) I subscribe to most of the well known Apple sites for news. As a marketer, I also look at the marketing from both Apple and Microsoft and see who is taking what position. Hmmm....

What is really pissing me off is the level of idiocy in Mac Fanboy culture. While, I love my Macs, I fucking hate fanboys even if I might have tended toward that slippery slope once or twice myself. Mac Fanboys are bullshit artists and sycophantic historical revisionists who take a self-important stance because they chose to plant their flag in one technological corner. Now your Mac zealot is a fucking marketing expert as well!! I've got news for you pack of losers...you know nothing!

Let's go back to basics and relook at the two platforms.

1. They are the same animal hardware-wise. Sure the iMac is an elegant machine. It's beautiful and it just gets better. But there are PC manufacturers making machines just as nice. Some of the new HPs are very interesting and are quite beautiful as well. Sony Vaios are also quite attractive although Sony are pretty loose canons most of the time and are capable of making beautiful junk. So let's eliminate the hardware from the equation because I just can't see a single area that Apple hardware is superior to PC and you could equally argue that much PC gear is in fact, better than Apple.

2. Mac don't do games. I know they CAN do games but that's pretty recent and you have a choice of about 4 to pick from. I also know that consoles own the gaming market now but I can still buy or download eleventy billion games for the PC. If half of them are shit and full of bugs THAT'S NOT MICROSOFT'S FAULT. The fact that you can eventually get them going on a PC is itself a friggin' technological miracle. You can't get close on a Mac.

3. If we eliminate hardware and games that leaves productivity and internet. Let's look at productivity first and the best place to start is Microsoft Office. In it's current incarnation for Windows, Office is awesome. It is totally bullet-proof and it does pretty much everything you need for a business. I have used it since it was invented and I use it for real in large companies doing real business-type work and I love it. If you don't then go and use Lotus and see how fucking good Office is. I've used Wordperfect as well and yes, it was good. In fact, it did things that Word still doesn't do as well. However, the marginal utility that afforded me was nothing compared to the benefits of Office. Word, Excel and Outlook work together quite well and the Wordperfect suite was shit. Lotus was OK but only OK. Office rules and is used by everyone so you don't have to train a new recruit because people just know how to use it now. That's the benefit from being a near monopoly. I'm sure there are geeks who will wee their pants because they've found the odd thing Office doesn't do and they got some freeware that does it but only four people in the world use. Good on 'em. Just stay the fuck away from any business I work in.

Apart from Office, PC own enterprise. For years I've used workstations on Dell, HP or IBM networks without too much failure and since Windows XP rarely a crash.The Dell network we use now is pretty robust and sure there are incidents but no more than you'd get on XServe networks or Unix. Outlook and Exchange server are great. Not perfect but go and use Lotus Domino and you'll beg for Microsoft. I don't want to get into open source vs proprietary platforms; this is about Mac vs PC and I am very pro PHP and MySQL against ASP and MS-SQL but only for cost.

Outside the enterprise environment, lets look at creative arts. Brands like Adobe, Corel etc. They all work on both platforms and just as well. There is a large enough benefit in the way Macs deploy these apps to give them a clear market share and a higher than PC take up. But if the Large Hadron Collider created a black hole that only sucked in Apple gear, graphics and music studios would still get their work done on PCs. The reality is that Mac offer no universal advantage over PC at all despite areas of specific advantage.

Mac do come with the iLife suite, which is good but not great. In fact, it gets progressively worse. iPhoto is so restrictive I just hate it. I can't get to anything easily and now the database folder is packaged up. The problem is, I'm so locked into iPhoto and iTunes, the pain-in-the arse factor is too high to change. I do like iMovie but iChat is shit and so is iWeb. Dot Mac was lame and from all accounts Mobile Me is lamer and busted.

4. Internet. OK. At the moment a clear advantage to Mac. Not because of any usability gain but simply because of security. When I sold Apple gear this was the clincher. You sold Apple on coolness and security and hid the fact they do very little that's significantly better than PC. However, a large part of Mac's advantage over PC is the small market share it occupies making it a lower risk. That will change. It will change because Macs will become exposed and Windows will get more secure until they are the same. Enjoy it while it lasts. Oh, and browsers...don't go there. Safari is now on Windows and Firefox 3 has pwned Safari.

So there you go. Platforms compared there's little to separate them. That's today. The fanboys are also historical revisionists so let's take a look at the relative strengths of the platforms in the next post.

原來講師說，這是因為她認為第一堂課，就必須從字母、音標教起，

是多麼枯燥乏味的事情呀～

記得去年第一次旁聽德文的時候，德國人的嚴謹性格，連語言上都表露無遺！

而法國人竟然可以創造出為了好聽而完全沒有意義的文法規則。

話說回來，講法文的講師有一種性感的味道，

然而其第一次的上課作風，讓我思考到，其實很多事情可以換種方式做，

並非得要盲從的追隨以往作法，創意往往是被傳統束縛壓死的，

想當然爾，會懷疑講師為啥不快點教音標，

好像是代表我太痴呆了～

重點是小販似乎無法改變現狀，所以必須放棄夢想，選擇過著截然不同的人生。

或許是受了 Jeff 學長的影響，我也想儘快擁有屬於自己的事業，想要有不輸人的成就！

也因此當我還保有著這個夢想的時候，或許不會想到未來如果失去它該怎麼辦？

然而，我的朋友卻也曾經懷抱偉大夢想，如今卻走向另一種生活了，

所以我想到了自己也許有天會浪費了自己的夢想，而過著意外的人生，多麼可怕的情境！

但這不代表這種人生的過程不好，我也喜歡某種程度的冒險挑戰，

雖然如此，我卻害怕自己的夢想消失了，而庸庸碌碌的耗盡生命，

也許出於這種原因，我開始思考要怎樣細心的保護自己的夢想了！

現階段我的準則就是 Dream big & start small，除了懷抱崇高理想，

最重要的就是踏實的行動吧，不打嘴泡了！

誠如 Cameron Johnson 景仰 Dell 能夠奉行此法則以外，

我也要效法他們的精神！

Lately it seems like Steve Jobs is just trying to get him self a nice retirement with gazillions of money on the bank. I'm pretty sure that Apple could have released an iPhone with 3G, GPS, Video support AND MMS when they released the first iPhone. I mean come on, 3G has been aroud for years! So has video and MMS. He is just making us buy new products every year, that way he makes millions and millions of more money. He is smart, I give him that, but he is also a douchebag.

況且 wordpress.com 在基本使用上並不提供修改 CSS 的功能 [*註一]，所以我也沒辦法更改 container 的寬度，

完全沒有想到原來我的 Blog 竟也變成 Only For Firefox 了！ = = [*註二]

以前曾經替某公家機構設計無障礙網站，而所謂無障礙包含的是要讓任何一個使用者可以沒有任何困難的取得網站上的所有資訊！[*註三]

不過我的 Blog 針對 IE 使用者不易讀取，雖然稱不上什麼大條代誌，但是美觀上、以及方便性都有問題阿～

雖然無障礙網站的立意很好！不過很顯然地熱潮一下子就沒了的樣子，即使公家機關多數有在施行，

可外面的私人網站就沒在鳥這個了啊，對於弱勢族群來說，的確是很可憐！

使用 CSS 來控制網頁外觀排版的網站，特別容易遇到各家瀏覽器支援程度的問題，

CSS 是有標準存在的，除了標準外，CSS 也不斷的在更替版本，

設計網站的人通常要考慮到在各種瀏覽器的支援情形，

以過去的經驗來說，Firefox 的支援性最佳，另外我還必須要考量到市佔率最高的 IE 使用者，

所以通常是兩種瀏覽器交換使用。

雖說 IE 的市佔率最多，可是在 CSS 的支援上，也不見得多符合標準，因此很多設計網站的人通常只考慮 IE，

這讓其他瀏覽器的使用者來說，非常的不方便，有時並不只是外觀而已，

倘若使用到 MicroSoft 版本的 Javascript，可能連功能都有問題。[*註四]

因此，如果每個設計者能夠在設計時多考量其他版本，會讓使用者的體驗好一點！

就如洪朝貴先生致力推廣 OpenSource 的精神，一般人不應該作為微軟的打手，去屠宰非微軟使用者的人，

為什麼要這樣做呢？微軟又不付你錢！[*註五]

*註一：你要升級才可以修改，升級等於付費使用了！否則可以到 www.wordpress.org 下載整個 CMS，則可以利用自己電腦作為 WebServer，就可任意修改了！

Not one mention of Windows Vista. Not. One.

This has to be the stupidest…lamest…worthless…most idiotic thing I have seen in at least the last 15 minutes of my life. And I work in I.T.! THIS is going up against the Mac vs. PC ads from Apple? Jerry Seinfeld giving advice to Bill on buying shoes? This has a Zune’s chance in MacWorld of accomplishing anything.

So Microsoft’s spin is that at least it get’s people talking. Oh, we’re talking alright Mr. Balmer. Talking about how your company hasn’t had any vision in years and is using desperate means such as the hopelessly misleading Mojave Project ( see a previous post on same subject ) and now a desperate distraction ad to take us off the truth. That being that Windows is nothing but a pig with lipstick.

I’ll lay it right out right now. I’m a Mac guy. At work I use a Mac, so there. Whatever servers that I set up are usually Linux or XServer based, even though I’m forced to work with MS in some capacity daily. You can’t escape Microsoft in an Enterprise environment where I and many work…such is life.

The old argument used to be that there was more software in Windows than Mac. Not anymore baby. Using Parallels I can run both at native speeds at the same time. Plus OS X has tons of software. Cost of hardware? Not as expensive as they used to be. Or if you’re really hard up, build a Hackintosh as Mac’s all use Intel chips now. Check and Mate.

Apple has done something Microsoft cannot do…sell a lifestyle. Using iLife Suite I can organize music, photos, and make killer DVD movies with such ease that my Vista/XP counterparts can only stare in disbelief. Plus OS X is just plain intuitive. The best Microsoft can do is rip off ideas ( Vista/Zune ) and sell them as PRODUCTS. I’m afraid times are a changing.

I know, I know…I sound like a shill for Apple. I don’t know how I got to this point in my life. Maybe I just got sick of fighting my computer. Either way, you can’t argue that a multi-billion dollar company can’t do better than hire a Prima Donna comedian from the 90’s who we all know had a well displayed Mac in his TV show apartment.

而我們長更大了以後開始學著模仿別人，學習一些技巧，再更成熟了以後開始體會人生的種種環節，

戀愛、工作、參加社團等..............

但某些心理學派看起來認為很多事情透過觀察別人經驗一樣可以學會，

也許他們會說：「看過犯人用過刀子殺人，所以知道怎麼利用刀子殺人！」。

甚至有人不明其義，而直接拿來引用在生活中的各個事件當中，讓人啼笑皆非啊～

有些事情的確是這樣，透過別人的失敗我們可以盡量地避免重蹈覆轍，

然而生命中有很多並非只是流於形式的事物，像是情感、工作經驗等等，

並非只是用肉眼去感覺而已！況且我發現當大家往往覺得是那麼一回事的時候，親身體驗了才發現原來不只是這麼簡單！

我認為親身體會並不是什麼廢話論點，但就我的周遭朋友而言，有些人的本位主義太重，

以為去體驗(To do it!)是很多此一舉的事！

總是內心已經抱著想當的成見去看待一切，就算是面對新事件，也一併的用舊思維去批判！

我純粹有感而發的寫了這篇，只因我也有一段太自以為的過去～
