Parked domain generally no contained any content and according to RK West there are many clicks came from parked domains and not valid. They said that they have charged for those clicks even these domains not having related content of their business.

According to Lawsuit alleges:

"Despite indication that some of the clicks from parked domains were invalid, Google failed to disclose to the plaintiff specific domain names in which these ads were clicked on, making detection of invalid clicks difficult and even worse concealing any evidence of invalid clicks."

RK West has checked their server logs and found clicks sources. They have not define the “Invalid” but Torrijos stated that

“The company took the position that clicks made by users who don't have a genuine interest in making a purchase are invalid.”

The company has alleged fake concealment, unfair enhancement and a violation of California's business code, and is looking for class-action status.

Ich habe mich mal bei diesem Pro Programm angemeldet weil ich mehrere adwords Accounts managen musste und weil ich gern Gutscheine abstauben wollte ... und natürlich wegen der Credibility ;-)

Nun ja das Webinar war ganz ok aber absolut basic, newbies die sich noch kein Procenter haben konnten viel lernen, der Rest durfte Däumchen drehen und über die Moderatorin schmunzeln, nicht das sie lustig oder lächerlich präsentierte, nein sie hatte einfach nur eine charmante witzige Art... anscheinend arbeiten auch Menschen mit Humor bei google, gut zu wissen.

Nur am Rande, die Software über die das Webinar läuft ist so eingestellt das man nur sich selbst und den Moderator sieht, keine Userlist, einige sind da doch echt der Meinung sie wären allein in dem Raum ... mal ne Frage an die, die dass denken: Fühlt ihr euch dabei dumm weil ihr die einzigen seid die teilnehmen oder prädestiniert, weil ihr die einzigen mit Einladung seid?

Ich mag den Webinar Service von google, hoffentlich gibt es da bald etwas spannendere Themen und hoffentlich darf man sich selbst mal einbringen.

Battling this sort of theft is a drawn out process, which despite the technology of the current day and age, still requires an actual letter, envelope and stamp to send notification to Google to get any action on their behalf. Strange for the world's largest Search Engine to use such a technique to discourage complaints. However, this article is not about that, or Google, but finding sites that have stolen your content.

There are (I am sure) many tools out there for assisting, and one that I have been using is called Copyscape.

You enter the URL of your web page, and Copyscape trawls the net looking for occurrences. I don't use a paid subscription version of it, so I am not sure how much better it can be, but at least it is a start.

As many of you know Microsoft has been trying hard to buy a section or all of Yahoo but talks have come to an end recently. Microsoft had offered to buy a section of Yahoo and previously offered to buy all of Yahoo. But what blows my mind is in a last chance move Yahoo has denied Microsoft and accepted an offer from Google, are you kidding me, Google has out done themselves again. They have done what Microsoft has been trying to do and once again proved their ability to stay on top of the web. Google has bought the rights to run their Google Adwords on Yahoo Search Results for a commission of each click. Usually I am bashing Google but once again I find myself congratulating them on their massive success. A lot of articles have been written on the underdog Yahoo and how this may allow them to have a last stand or it could end up like the 900 Million Google spent of Myspace. But if all goes well, the next 4 years for Google will be very profitable from this new marketing zone on Yahoo. So, Google congrats.

Sebelumnya, berikut ini contoh unit iklan KumpulBlogger:

Salah satu kelemahan dari KumpulBlogger justru berasal dari unit iklannya sendiri (hampir sama dengan kasus kegagalan AuctionAds dulu). Dibandingkan dengan unit iklan KlikSaya, unit iklan KumpulBlogger kurang menarik, terutama pada bagian “Ads Powered”-nya. Selain itu, publisher juga tidak bisa dengan luwes memilih kombinasi warna untuk unit iklan mereka dan hanya bisa memilih satu dari dua puluh empat kombinasi warna yang telah disediakan.

Efeknya, CTR yang didapat oleh publisher relatif kecil. Blog ini misalnya, hanya memperoleh CTR sebesar 0.002%. Bandingkan dengan CTR KlikSaya yang sebesar 1.6%. Namun dari sisi komisi, KumpulBlogger memberikan nilai statis Rp 300,- per klik untuk iklan jenis teks, dan Rp 400,- per klik untuk iklan jenis mini banner — relatif lebih tinggi daripada KlikSaya yang rata-rata nilai komisi per kliknya adalah Rp 225,-

Satu hal lagi yang membuat saya agak tidak nyaman mengikuti KumpulBlogger adalah adanya halaman Top Revenue yang menampilkan daftar publisher dengan penghasilan terbesar, beserta jumlah penghasilannya. Kok rasanya kurang etis dan bikin risih.

Sisi baiknya, KumpulBlogger menerapkan sistem yang lebih simpel, baik pada saat pendaftaran publisher, penambahan blog, maupun pembuatan kode unit iklan. Selain itu, mereka mendukung berbagai bank untuk pembayaran penghasilan publisher (disarankan untuk menggunakan BCA). Batas minimal pembayarannya pun lebih rendah, hanya Rp 10.000,-

Satu lagi yang menyenangkan dari KumpulBlogger adalah keberadaan sistem referral, dimana untuk tiap klik yang diperoleh oleh referral kita akan menambah pundi-pundi penghasilan kita sebanyak Rp 25,- Yah udah gak cukup buat dibeliin krupuk sih, tapi lumayan kok buat ditabung, hehehe.

Google AdSense adalah cara mudah untuk meraup dollar di internet

Benarkah?

Jika Anda termasuk orang” yg masuk ke bisnis AdSense karena mengganggap AdSense adalah cara mudah untuk mendapatkan uang di internet, maka dengan berat hati saya harus mengatakan kalo “Anda salah!“.

Mitos ini tak lebih dari sekedar propaganda yg dilancarkan oleh orang” yg berusaha untuk meraih keuntungan dari para pemula ato orang awam. Dengan menjual e-book misalnya. Ato memberikan pelatihan tidak gratis dng biaya iuran bulanan yg tidak murah. Ato juga menjual software” ato template” yg membuat Anda seolah” bisa ongkang” kaki di depan komputer dan melihat uang masuk dng sendiri.

Kenyataannya?

Sedikit sekali publisher” baru (istilah bagi webmaster yg memasang iklan AdSense di situsnya) yg bisa terus survive dan menghasilkan pendapatan yg signifikan dan sebanding (bahkan lebih) dng usaha yg dilakukannya. Sama seperti hasil survey mengenai wirausaha yg beberapa waktu lalu saya baca. Dari sekian banyak usahawan baru, hanya 20% saja yg bisa bertahan melewati tahun pertama. Persentase ini akan semakin menyusut di setiap tahunnya, dan bukan tidak mungkin di tahun ke-lima nanti hanya tersisa 1-2 usahawan sukses dari angkatan tersebut.

Begitu pula bisnis AdSense.

Saya mengikuti hampir semua forum lokal yg membahas ttg AdSense, dan dari banyak kasus yg ada, kesalahan (baca: kegagalan) berpangkal pada anggapan di atas yg tanpa disadari telah menjadi semacam pedoman “kerja” bagi para publisher pemula.

Content yg didapat dari hasil copy-paste, topik yg terbius oleh iming” high paying keyword, situs/blog yg dibuat secara otomatis dng software, dan sebagainya. Seolah” hanya dng bermodal dengkul seperti itu, dollar akan datang dengan sendirinya.

Yg lebih parah, karena sudah terlanjur termakan oleh mitos, maka publisher” muda ini akan berusaha menggunakan cara apa pun untuk sekedar menggemukkan pundi” dollar di statistik AdSense mereka. Click fraud, force click, dan automated click, hanyalah sebagian kecil dari usaha tidak-halal yg dilakukan.

Hasilnya, meskipun di awal” tampak aman, surat banned pun melayang juga pada akhirnya.

Yah teman, bisnis AdSense pada kenyataannya tidak semudah yg digembor”kan.

Memang, saya tidak akan mengingkari adanya publisher” yg cukup berhasil hanya dng berpangku-tangan saja. Tapi sekali lagi yg perlu diinget, persentase-nya amatlah kecil, jika dibandingkan dng yg gagal.

Bagaimana solusinya?

Yang paling utama tentunya adalah menghilangkan anggapan bahwa bisnis AdSense adalah bisnis yg mudah dan tidak perlu usaha keras. Ingat, semua jenis bisnis pasti beresiko dan butuh usaha. Apa pun itu.

Selanjutnya, langkah” berikut mungkin dapat dijadikan pedoman awal dalam meraih sukses dng AdSense.

1. Selalu mulai dng membuat situs web dng topik yg Anda kuasai ato Anda suka. Lupakan high paying keyword. Jadikan situs ini sebagai situs utama Anda, ato menurut istilah saya adalah situs inti / poros.
2. Stl situs selesai, lanjutkan dng melakukan optimasi dari sisi SEO (Search Engine Optimization).
3. Langkah berikutnya adalah promosi situs. Promosi dpt berupa melakukan submit ke situs” search engine, pemasangan iklan baik online maupun offline, direktori, top list, dan sebagainya. And for God’s sake, hindari SPAM!
4. Selanjutnya, Anda tinggal menunggu hasilnya sambil terus secara berkala melakukan update (kecuali untuk situs” jenis tertentu yg tidak membutuhkan update dari webmaster).
5. Berdoa. Kita sudah berusaha, maka jangan lupa untuk berdoa semoga usaha yg kita lakukan tidak sia”.
6. Jika saatnya sudah tepat, lakukan ekspansi bisnis dng membuat situs baru dan lihat kembali pada langkah 1 di atas.

Tulisan ini adalah bagian pertama dari entah berapa bagian yg sama sekali belum direncanakan.

Pertama dari sisi format iklan. Hampir sama dengan KumpulBlogger, iklan-iklan di PPCIndo tidak bisa dikustomisasi sesuka hati. Malah lebih parah, hanya disediakan satu kombinasi warna saja untuk tiap jenis iklan yang ada, yaitu teks hitam dan tautan biru. Untungnya, tersedia bermacam-macam format iklan yang memberikan nilai lebih bagi PPC ini. Khususnya iklan berformat text link yang mirip dengan link unit pada Google AdSense.

Untuk komisi per klik, PPCIndo memberikan upah sebesar Rp 100,- (50:50 dari bid iklan yang dikenakan pada advertiser). Sayang statistik iklan harian hanya menampilkan jumlah klik saja sehingga saya tidak tahu berapa persisnya CTR yang dihasilkan. Tapi berdasarkan perkiraan, besar CTR-nya berkisar antara 2.4% hingga 2.7%. Lumayan tinggi.

Bayarannya? Sepertinya tidak ada ketentuan untuk masalah bank yang digunakan, jadi sedikit banyak lebih unggul dibanding KlikSaya yang hanya mendukung BCA dan Mandiri. Anehnya, tidak ada kejelasan di situsnya mengenai batas minimum pembayaran publisher. Tapi dari screenshot bukti pembayaran yang diberikan, sepertinya cukup dengan memperoleh Rp 10.000,- saja Anda sudah bisa segera menikmati duitnya di rekening.

Untuk proses pendaftaran publisher maupun pembuatan kode iklan sendiri cukup mudah dan tidak berbelit.

Yang paling mengganggu adalah beberapa link yang mengarah ke Ziddu dan halaman FAQ yang 404 alias tidak diketemukan. Ditambah dengan tautan ke perusahaan pengembang yang diparkir, hasilnya adalah kesan kurang bonafid dan kurang serius dalam penggarapan. Semoga review ini bisa menjadi masukan tersendiri bagi pihak PPCIndo untuk lebih meningkatkan kualitas layanannya. Terutama dari sisi imej yang dibangun.

So i've been noticing i get some of the weirdest ads on my site lately, i need to figure out how to make Google not show some of these since they have nothing to do with my site! I mean ok so i have "Girl" in the title of my blog, but what does that have to do with wanting to know the sex of your baby? Some of the other ads are fine, for figures, or anime. But for what is the best way to conceive a girl? I mean come on!

It seems Google Ads is suggesting that the refugees should have rather gone to the States, which is amusing on a number of levels considering the problems the States have with illegal immigration across their southern border.

Fiquei sabendo pelo post do Antônio Carlos que o Google lançou recentemente o TV Ads. Esta é uma ferramenta muito interessante e flexível de fazer propaganda na TV.

Eles disponibilizam uma aplicação no "self-service" que permite que pessoas interessadas em veicular propaganda na TV façam isso de forma ágil e prática. Você consegue criar uma campanha, definir seu público-alvo, especificar canais e programas e horários durante os quais a campanha será exibida e dizer o quanto você pretende gastar com isso. A aplicação trará várias sugestões e permitirá que você envie a mídia da propaganda para iniciar a veiculação rapidamente nestes vários canais.

Esta é uma iniciativa inovadora e potencialmente muito poderosa para o Google. Além disso, eles também lançaram o Google Audio Ads e o Print Ads. É isso mesmo: eles já dominam a propaganda na internet, e agora lançam ferramentas inovadoras para tentar ganhar espaço na propaganda feita na TV, rádio e na mídia impressa. Fiquei curioso e fui ver a lista de canais e jornais que já participam disso. A maioria dos canais de TV americanos já permite propaganda através do Google TV Ads e a maioria dos jornais também. Entre os jornais estão por exemplo o New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Washington Post e muitos outros. Além disso, inúmeros jornais pequenos (porém com público muito mais específico, direcionado) já fazem parte do programa também. Muito interessante isso.

Já sabíamos previamente da iniciativa do Google de entrar firme no mercado de dispositivos móveis. Agora eles aumentam drasticamente o alcance das ferramentas de propaganda deles. Para completar, também está nos planos do Google a entrada nos set-top boxes de TV digital. Se essas iniciativas forem bem-sucedidas (e certamente tem boas chances), o Google conseguirá uma impressionante penetração no mercado. Será mais poder do que a Microsoft já teve um dia. E tudo isso com um modelo de negócios que traz muito mais simpatia do que a Microsoft.

Difícil saber qual (e se existirá) o limite para eles. Realmente impressionante. Quando será que isso chegará ao Brasil??
