Σε μια βδομάδα από σήμερα (09.10.08) ξεκινάει ο 9ος κύκλος της σειράς που έγραψε ιστορία... Προβλέπεται συγκλονιστική πρεμιέρα με πολύ μεγάλο ενδιαφέρον... Ο πολυαναμενόμενος 9ος κύκλος θα υποστεί ολικό lifting... O "Warrick Brown" έχει ήδη αποχωρήσει όντας νεκρός, η "Sara Sidle" επιστρέφει και ο "Gil Grissom" αποχωρεί από τη σειρά (στα μέσα της σαιζόν)... Ακούστηκαν διάφορα ονόματα για την αντικατάσταση του Peter Petersen ανάμεσα τους και αυτό του John Malkovich... Ο αντικαταστάτης όμως είναι και επίσημα ο Laurence Fishburne, οποίος δεν έκανε καλή αρχή λέγοντας ότι δεν ήταν ποτέ fan της σειράς..! Αν δε σου λέει τίποτα το όνομα του τότε να σου πω ότι τον γνωρίσαμε μέσα από το ρόλο του "Μορφέα" στο Matrix πλάι στον Keanu Reeves... Ο "Grissom" θα αποχωρήσει από τη σειρά στο 10ο επεισόδιο (θα συνεχίσει όμως την παραγωγή ενώ θα κάνει και κάποια guest) ενώ η γνωριμία με το νέο υπεύθυνο του εγληματολογικού θα γίνει 1-2 επεισόδια νωρίτερα... Θεωρώ ότι η σειρά θα χάσει κοινό όπως έχασε και πέρυσι με την αποχώρηση της Jorja Fox παρά το γεγονός ότι δεν ήταν και ιδιαίτερα αγαπητή σε αντίθεση με "Gil" και "Warrick"... Ίδομεν...

ΜΗΝ ΤΟ ΧΑΣΕΤΕ..!

Gary Dourdan (from the plain ol' CSI) He kinda looks like a crack addict to me. Lo and behold one of the times he was arrested it was for....crack. Even so, he particularly is not my pipe of choice.

However, one promising character from CSI: Miami caught my eye.

His name is Erik Delko, or if you'd rather fantasize about him outside of his character on the show, his real name is Adam Rodriguez.

Now y'all know I fancy a good Latino papi, (this guy happens to be Puerto Rican & Cuban- yum)  but I just cant figure out if he's cute or not.

I think its around his chin area.

Actor Laurence Fishburn is going to be replacing William Petersen in the hit TV drama CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, after it was announced he would be stepping down from his role of Gil Grissom (read my previous post HERE.) William will only be making guest appearances in the show, but will remain as the shows executive producer.  This new actor I haven't even heard of before, but apparently he has appeared in the Matrix, and has admitted he has never seen the show beforehand!!! This annoys me, what is the point of him coming into the show having never seen it before!!! :@ Why can't they get actors which are fans of the show to play parts instead?!

His character will join mid way through the tenth series, where he starts off as a college professor and who later joins the forensic team.  With Gary Dourdan (who played Warrick) character killed off at the end of the previous series, and WIlliam Petersen leaving...could this be the start of things going downhill for the smash hit tv series?!

Ni John Malkovich ni Kurt Russell, finalmente ha sido Laurence Fishburne el que se ha llevado el gato al agua. Semejantes pretendientes al puesto de Grissom dan idea de la importancia que ha alcanzado William Petersen al frente de CSI, serie con la que ha conseguido, además de convertirse en uno de los actores mejor pagados de la tele americana (sólo superado por Charlie Sheen en Dos hombres y medio ¿¡!?), ser tan imprescindible que los productores han tirado de Hollywood para paliar en la medida de lo posible su marcha.

A mí Laurence Fishburne me parece una opción excelente. Como actor él ya ha formado parte de algunas de las ficciones más importantes de los últimos tiempos (obviando el tema Matrix, de la que soy fan, Fishburne lo borda en Los chicos del Barrio, El color púrpura o Apocalypse Now), pero más allá de eso el papel que le han preparado supone, desde mi punto de vista, una modernización necesaria de CSI y es que el personaje, reputado patólogo, tiene la estructura genética de un asesino en serie, a pesar de no haber matado nunca, y eso le hace comprender los actos criminales con una profundidad digna de Dexter. ¿Superará a Horatio en mis preferencias?

Además, estas modificaciones habrán hecho que se revuelvan las tripas de Gary Dourdan, el inefable Warrick, que abandonó la serie por desavenencias con la productora. Según declara, su marcha se debió a que nadie quiso tomar como buenas sus aportaciones que iban en la línea, entre otras cosas, de aumentar la diversidad racial de la serie y abrirse a las minorías étnicas. Mira por dónde, han terminado haciéndole caso.

For his part, American TV star Gary has been keeping a lower profile since his CSI contract was not renewed earlier this year. The 41-year-old in certainly summer fun on the motor yacht.

Judging from season 8's last scene, many viewers are likely to think that Warrick will actually die. However, CSI boss Carol Mendelsohn has hinted in the latest issue of TV Guide that Warrick will be back in the fall and "not just in flashbacks."

According to Spoiler TV, the first episode of the ninth season of CSI is called “For Warrick” and finds the team mourning for their fallen friend.  Unknown to the team the killer, the Undersheriff, investigates Warrick's murder.  Meanwhile, Conrad Ecklie (Marc Vann) hires a new CSI in the form of Bryce Adams (Lauren Lee Smith).

"We thought that if we ever lost Warrick, this was the way he would go.  Warrick's a local guy.  The only family he had was Grissom and the team, so this was not a guy who was going to leave Las Vegas or CSI.  We knew where we were going with Warrick long before Gary went to the Coachella music festival, and that it would be truly classic battle-to the death.  I think you will see that Undersheriff McKeen will be one of the most worthy adversaries that the team has ever gone up against because he is so smart, because he is so trained, and he can think of all the angles,” Mendelsohn told TV Guide.

Sara (Jorja Fox), as reported previously, will return in this episode when she hears the news about Warrick.

“The premiere is the last time you will probably see our entire cast together.  Our original cast.  And that means Sara Sidle as well," she added.

“For Warrick” is expected to air on September 25 on CBS.
