Disgraced ex-New York Governor Eliot Spitzer might have just the opportunity you've been looking for.

Spitzer is putting together a real estate "vulture fund" to buy and flip distressed property, envisioning projects valued between $100 million and $500 million.

According to the New York Sun, "Eliot Spitzer, in his first big business venture since he was shamed out of office by a prostitution scandal, is shopping around a plan to start a vulture fund that would scoop up distressed real estate assets around the country, revamp them, and flip the properties for a profit. Late last month, the former governor of New York gathered a group of high-level Washington, D.C.-based labor union officials in a conference room at the headquarters of his father's real estate business in Manhattan and pitched them his idea for starting such a fund, a source said."

Eliot Spitzer's father is multi-millionaire Manhattan real estate developer Bernard Spitzer, known for building one of New York City's largest real estate firms (one of his properties is The Corinthian, a spectacular 55-story, 1.1 million square foot apartment building), as well as for bank-rolling his son's political career.  The ex-Governor has been working with his father's firm since resigning last March.

The Sun stated that "In the half-hour meeting, Mr. Spitzer told the officials that he was determined to take his ailing father's real estate company to 'the next level', the source said. Mr. Spitzer said he would lay out his business plan in greater detail at a later date, and would ask the labor officials to consider investing pension fund money under their control."

"Mr. Spitzer is moving aggressively to occupy a niche created by the credit crunch, the subprime mortgage crisis, a surge in foreclosures, and a declining real estate market. He is looking to mine for riches in projects that banks are no longer willing to finance."

Spitzer apparently believes that the prostitution scandal that cost him the Governor's office (and a fast-track to even higher political office) was really a blessing in disguise:

"During the meeting, Mr. Spitzer expressed relief that he was no longer burdened with the frustrations of being governor, according to the source. And, in contrast to his repentant resignation speech that he delivered beside his tearful wife, Silda Wall, he took a more relaxed view of his indiscretions. He has told friends and associates that he is consoled by passersby who stop him on the city sidewalks and tell him that sex is 'no big deal' and that the disclosure that he frequented prostitutes was distorted out of proportion, the source said. Europeans, the former governor has noted, have been especially supportive of him and perplexed by the fallout from the scandal."

Spitzer's real estate dreams may have to be put on hold, however, as federal law enforcement authorities might force him to make other plans.

The New York Post reports that " The noose appears to be tightening around sex-crazed ex-Gov. Eliot Spitzer."

According to The Post, "The federal case against him is so strong that prosecutors had no interest in striking cooperation agreements with the ringleader of Spitzer's hooker-supplier, Emperors Club VIP, and his second in command, sources told The Post's Murray Weiss. Prosecutors have records of Spitzer's transactions, phone records and taped conversations with Emperors Club, and are confident they need little more to nail him on charges that could include violating prostitution laws and money laundering, sources said. Probers are also said to be looking into whether he used campaign funds to pay for his pleasures."

"The case against Spitzer includes the cooperation of curvy call girl Ashley 'Kristen' Dupre and a second hooker. Her old boss, Mark Brener, 62, will plead guilty Thursday without the sweetheart deal he was hoping for - he'll have to serve up to 30 months in the slammer on money-laundering and prostitution-conspiracy charges."

In addition, Temeka Lewis, who worked for Brener at the Emperor's Club, pled guilty in a cooperation agreement that requires her to testify about Spitzer's involvement with the prostitution ring and his alleged attempts to conceal payments for sex.

We think that a "vulture fund" meeting with Eliot Spitzer where he pitches cashing in on the foreclosure crisis doesn't help improve the image of labor unions or union leaders.

We also think that anyone considering investing in Spitzer's real estate project should think about whether the fund could do without the presence of the ex-Governor for several years while he stays at the Gray Bar Hotel.

The defense can easily claim she produced identification and consent.  Unfortunately, the ID was fake and she was obviously drunk and possibly unable to legally consent to his taping.  It's a toss-up, but the courts have already proven they are no fans of Joe's work.  I wonder if they're even less of a fan of Ashley's.

MIAMI -- The founder of "Girls Gone Wild" released a video Tuesday he said proved that the call girl involved in a scandal that brought down New York's former governor agreed to be filmed in 2003 for the raunchy series.

The release came one day after series founder Joe Francis and his companies were sued for $10 million in Miami federal court by Ashley Alexandra Dupre, who claims she was only 17 at the time and too young to sign a binding contract. Dupre, now 22, also accused Francis of exploiting her image and name on various Internet sites.

In the new release, Dupre appears covered by a terrycloth towel and gives her name as Amber Arpaio. An unseen questioner asks if she is 18.

The video also displays a New Jersey driver's license with the Amber Arpaio name and a birth date that would have made her appear to be in her 20s."

Apparently jealous of the attention newly inaugurated NY Governor David Patterson is receiving from his own sex and drugs scandal, exiled Governor Eliot Spitzer is back in the news today.

NY Post today links Spitzer to a second New York call girl ring, Wicked Models.  Of course, this comes less than a month after Spitzer's tied with the Emperor's Club VIP escort service was revealed. 

At the center of the new ring is Kristin "Billie" Davis, a busty bottle blonde who hails from a ough-and-tumble California trailer park. She has a reputation for hard-partying, shameless self-promotion and a rumored 10,000-name-long client list.

Davis' alleged multimillion-dollar empire was smashed by city vice cops as she made plans to skip town. Prosecutors say she netted some $2 million last year by pimping out ladies of the night for as much as $1,000 an hour through four Web sites.  They noted she has openly boasted of total earnings of $6 million, and has been in operation since at least 2004.

Davis, 32, pleaded not guilty to money laundering and promoting prostitution in Manhattan Supreme Court yesterday and was held on $2-million bail. She faces 15 years in prison if convicted of running the ring, which also allegedly operated the Madison La A'mour and New York Body Miracle agencies."

A source tells the NY Post that Davis personally "serviced" Mr. Spitzer.

Ashley Alexandra Dupre: Not Rich Yet, Probably Won't Ever Be

Remember all that money Ashley Alexandra Dupre was going to make? It's disappearing, fast. As we noted before, Ashley has made plenty of money for media outlets, but hasn't seen a penny of it herself. And given that her story is now... yawn... a couple weeks old, it will be increasingly hard for her to cash in. Ad Age:

"Girls Gone Wild" founder Joe Francis was prepared to pay her $1 million to appear in the company's new magazine, but then rescinded the offer when it was discovered she was already in one of the company's videotapes from 2003. Even the Orlando Sentinel discovered it had a topless image of her from a story that year on the "Girls Gone Wild" series. Us Weekly posted more than 50 photos of her from a "modeling" shoot on its website last week.

But by the end of the week, most websites and blogs had let stories about her slip to the bottoms or back pages of their news sites. The Spitzer scandal began and essentially ended within days, said Rita Tateel, president of the Celebrity Source, which matches stars with corporate events and campaigns. "Unlike Monica Lewinsky, who had a little bit more of 15 minutes because Bill Clinton did not resign, here Ashley has more like eight minutes." And even that may be too generous given the speed of media cycles today.

Is anything still on the table? Ad Age seems to think that a "low six-figure" offer from Georgi Vodka may still be available, and helpfully offers itself up as Ashley's agent, since she doesn't seem to have one. It offers Ashley up to GoDaddy.com, which isn't interested. But the people who make One condoms might be. Or least marketing manager Jared Fennelly says they might be: "Yeah, absolutely we would talk about something like that."

We'd previously pooh-poohed the prospects of Ashley making much money from her music sales: At best, we figured, she's going to make a few thousand bucks from her downloads. But at this rate that may be one of her biggest pay days.

March 24, 2008 -- Former law-and-order Gov. Eliot Spitzer took surveillance to a whole new level when he indulged in watching couples getting it on, a Brazilian madam said yesterday in an exclusive interview from her tropical hometown.

Hookers who charge $1,000 an hour weren't always enough to satiate Spitzer's perverse sexual desires, said Andreia Schwartz, who claims she hired girls for the governor before police busted the prostitution ring she ran out of her luxury Manhattan apartment in 2006.

She said the disgraced horndog was a kinky voyeur who had a fetish for live sex shows - in addition to regularly hiring "models" from her escort agency.

"I found it strange that he has a beautiful wife but he likes to watch couples," she said, referring to Silda, Spitzer's wife of 20 years. "He was weird."

Anna Cordasco, a spokeswoman for Spitzer, said, "These are completely outrageous fabrications."

Back home in Brazil after 18 months in Rikers Island on prostitution and drug charges, a newly free Schwartz dished openly about the peculiar perversions that ultimately led to Spitzer's downfall.

The brunette ex-madam, whose deportation was held up for a week by authorities desperate for her secrets, says Spitzer was a long-standing client of her $1-million-a-year call-girl ring.

Speaking from her mother's home in the coastal city of Victoria, Schwartz, a 33-year-old mother of a teenage boy, said federal prosecutors grilled her relentlessly about her clientele after her March 14 deportation was abruptly halted and she was kept in a solitary cell in New Jersey.

"They offered to change my name by going to the witness-protection program or something in exchange for information about corrupt cops, politicians and others," she said. "They wanted me to stay and make the life of those people hell."

Schwartz arrived in Brazil Saturday.

The FBI declined to comment on her statements.

But Schwartz's lawyer, Jeffrey Lichtman, confirmed that federal prosecutors grilled her about the Emperors Club VIP - and about Ashley Alexandra Dupre, the hooker whose Feb. 13 Washington, DC, tryst with Spitzer was caught on federal wiretaps.

Although Schwartz remained mum on Spitzer to the feds, she now says there's proof the two did business together and hinted at more revelations to come.

"I talked to him via e-mails, but I also talked to actors, singers. I know lots of famous people. I had constant contact with models, millionaires, government officials and an aide to former Mayor Giuliani," she said without naming names.

She added that she is still angry that "dirty" investigators - whom she would not identify - "stole" the proceeds from her call-girl ring and said that's why she refused to cooperate.

Police seized documents and a computer hard drive from Schwartz's brothel on West 58th Street two years ago.

Until now, the most prominent name to be linked to Schwartz had been former Time Warner CFO Wayne Pace, who allegedly paid the madam some $200,000 over three years.

Meanwhile, other salacious details about Spitzer's sexual shenanigans surfaced yesterday from a source intimately familiar with the former governor's alleged Florida floozy.

It was revealed that Spitzer arch-enemy Roger Stone, a Republican dirty-tricks specialist, had his lawyer pen a letter to the FBI last November saying the governor spent some personal time with a Florida prostitute.

"It is also my client's understanding from the same source that Governor Spitzer did not remove his mid-calf-length black socks during the sex act," attorney Paul Rolf Jensen wrote, according to an account in the Miami Herald.

That woman is believed to be a prostitute who haunts Miami Velvet, an upscale swingers club in South Florida.

Another call girl at the club told a friend that she was originally supposed to be set up with Spitzer but was rejected because she wasn't a brunette.

"She just said she had not gotten the call because she had just become a blonde and the client evidently wanted a brunette," said a source who knows the call girl.

"You know, his taste is consistent," the source added. The now-famous call girl Dupre is also a brunette.

Campaign records show Spitzer stayed at the Wyndham Grand Bay Hotel in Coral Gables, Fla., on Feb. 23, 2006. It is unclear when Spitzer's alleged Florida tryst took place.

There could also be written documentation on what Spitzer fancied in the sack.

Emperors Club VIP kept detailed dossiers on its clients, according to Gloria Weiss, a Manhattan woman who was offered a job as a booker at the high-priced escort agency.

Bookers, who got a 10 percent cut of every transaction, were encouraged to engage clients in chit-chat to learn about their personal predilections, according to internal Emperors Club VIP documents.

Weiss said Cecil Suwal, the alleged No. 2 of the operation, provided the paperwork.

Suwal's attorney did not return a call for comment.

LOS ANGELES — Stop that $1 million check: It turns out the call girl linked to Eliot Spitzer had already shed her clothes for "Girls Gone Wild" as an 18-year-old while partying in Miami, the video company's founder said Tuesday.

Joe Francis had reached out to Ashley Alexandra Dupre, now 22, with an offer of $1 million to appear in a non-nude spread for his company's new magazine, plus a chance to join the "Girls Gone Wild" tour bus, his company announced Tuesday.

But Francis said someone had a revelation at the Tuesday morning staff meeting: Did anyone think to check the archives?

They did, he said _ and there she was."It'll save me a million bucks," Francis told The Associated Press on Tuesday. "It's kind of like finding a winning lottery ticket in the cushions of your couch."
Francis said at that point, his offer was off the table.

"We actually had been dealing with her rep," he said. "Our (offer) was the real deal. We just never made the connection."Employees got to work on pulling the footage and planned to offer it all on the Web site _ with a $29.95 monthly subscription.Dupre's attorney Don D. Buchwald declined comment.According to a "Girls Gone Wild" press release, Dupre visited Miami in 2003 to celebrate her 18th birthday. After fighting with a friend and getting thrown out of her hotel, Dupre found a nearby "Girls Gone Wild" bus, the company said.She signed legal papers and spent a full week on the bus, filming seven full-length tapes which included nudity and same-sex encounters, according to the company.

"I personally ended up buying her a Greyhound bus ticket back home to North Carolina," Francis told the AP.

Francis returned to California last week after being sentenced to time served and fines in Florida in a case involving filming underage girls. He still faces trial on federal tax evasion charges that carry a penalty of up to 10 years in prison.

Dupre's public profile has skyrocketed since former New York Gov. Spitzer resigned earlier this week amid the prostitution scandal. He was accused of spending tens of thousands of dollars on prostitutes, including a February tryst with a call girl named "Kristen," since identified as Dupre.

Dupre's MySpace page was hit more than 5 million times in the days immediately after the scandal broke. Her musical efforts, including two songs posted at the music sharing site Aime Street, were listened to hundreds of thousands of times and played on national airwaves.

Hustler publisher Larry Flynt told The AP last Friday that he e-mailed Dupre offering her $1 million to appear nude in his magazine, but didn't sound optimistic that she would settle for that amount. Flynt suggested that by the time Dupre starts talking, she may be too big a media phenomenon for a simple magazine spread.

"She is no doubt going to do a book. There will probably be a movie," he said. "I think she is going to have so many offers coming in that it will probably be wishful thinking just to get in the door."

GGW now has the video available from their website.  Membership fee is $29.95 for one month -- a much better deal than $1,000/hour, but probably not quite as fun.
