I hate Madonna, let's just get that outta the way. Well, not hate but.. After I saw In Bed With Madonna when I was a kid I just figured she was a pornstar or Marilyn Monroe. One or the other. It just didn't make any difference really, it was my mum's movie. She liked Madonna. And I liked A-ha and Michael Jackson.

She did push a lot of boundaries due to her sexual suppressed Catholic upbringing, yes Madonna, let the whole world know you like to have a whip in your rectum and gets off to the smell of latex. We all want to know that, we really do. Btw you also poop out of your a-hole, not just a 2nd fun-tunnel.

But I do love this remix, and I do love old Madonna songs to be fucking honest about it. Sidechains made it so danceable I might dance my pants off. Is that what you want Madonna? Is it?

Vamo que vamo pra 6ª edição do podcast, com um mix de novidades e sons mais antigos, acho que isso aconteceu devido ao meu pouco tempo dedicado às pesquisas em myspaces e sites do gênero, mas não perdi o meu foco de sempre estar mixando as novidades do underground world! Pra começar: Petter com "Left Turned", esse som um pouquinho antigo que eu fiz questão de retirar a poeira, porque mexe com meus sentidos... as batidas são boas, mas o som que envolve a música toda, tem um convite para uma viagem que misturada ao minimal resulta em "Left Turned" :P, vale a pena conferir o EP "Six Songs" por inteiro, afinal "Left Turned" é somente o b-side deste release que leva estampado o nome do selo do James Holden Border Community. Passeando pelo podcast você vai encontrar o remix do Hot Chip "One Pure Thought", eu tinha em mãos dois ótimos remixes: um do Dominik Eulberg e outro do Supermayer, e acabei optando em tocar o remix assinado pelo Dominik, e "ficadica" para vocês ouvirem o remix da dupla de super heróis "minimal-tech-pop" Superpitcher e Michael Mayer, que resolveram trabalhar bastante, porque se ao ter em mãos uma escolha entre dois grandes nomes, escolhi Dominik, era porque mais adiante entraria tocando "Jolly Joker" do Alter Ego assinado pelo Supermayer no comando do remix! Além disso, me permiti entrar num momento de uma mistura de elementos eletrônicos do Nathan Fake remixando Vincent Oliver, e um som fantástico de um "duo" que está literalmente fazendo minha cabeça quando o assunto é musica eletrônica.... Musiccargo, que divulga em seu estilo uma alusão ao "Kraftwerk Revival" trazendo uma proposta do "kraut-rock" com elementos eletrônicos de primeira e batidas marcadas pela psicodelia da música eletrônica atual assim sendo exemplifiquei no mix com "Ich Geh Den Weg Mit Dir" que no português ficaria algo do tipo "Eu vou longe com você", algo assim hahah... e o passeio pelos destaques do podcast são estes. No finalzinho resolvi repetir a dose com "Barcelona" da Misstress Barbara, "Deo" do Paul Kalkbrenner sempre presente nos meus mixes, e um remix gostosinho que o Hot Chip assinou para o psicodélico Caribou.

Ofcourse, Track 1 got played over and over (insanity of youth, I know), but at one stage someone let the CD keep playing and all the remix versions started up. It was great. At this stage in life, not alot of my friends were familiar with dance music, and some found it a little intimidating. As far as they were aware, dance music was just loud doof-doof, whistles and disconcerting chipmunk-sounding vocals. 

It was this sort of remix that moved dance music in to their (and my) domain, and allowed them to get to know (and in most cases, love) the different styles of it. Remixes gave them the music they already loved, recognised and felt comfortable with. They didn't have to move completely out of their comfort zone to get a little taste.

So next time you come across someone who would really benefit from getting to know a particular style, but they're having trouble seeing the light, maybe work them around with a couple of remixes. It's worked for me.

Yeaaaaaap, podcast novinho pro mês de maio, com muita coisa boa selecionada por mim auhauhauahauh, ao começar pelo duo francês NOZÊ..não conhecem?! ahhh pesquisem.. o myspace, o blog e até uma resenha no rraurl estão dando sopa por ai na net esperando uma visita de vocês! Mas posso adiantar que esse som que abre meu podcast é um remix sem muita pretenção ao movimento dançante das pistas.. e olha que em matéria de pista o Dj Köze entende muito bem. Outra coisa que me deu vontade de fazer foi "enfiar" um pouquinho de nu-disco nesse mix, (como fiz no podcast 4 tocando Shit Robot) neste toco disco-tech do Joakim que assinou o remix para Cut Copy "Hearts On Fire" (que você pode baixar gratuitamente no myspace do Cut Copy), e o som gostosinho do Das Pop "Fool For Love" remixado pelo Aeroplane que eu só tive a oportunidade de ouvir recentemente no podcast #6 do Dj Tiga. Além disso tem "Downstairs" da francesa Lucy .. essa música é show, um tech house flutuante com uma sonoridade incrível e deliciosa de ouvir, além disso tenho ouvido o James Holden tocar bastante esse som.. e por falar nele (minha fonte máxima de influência) tem o antiguinho "Nintendo Song" que eu adoro e o próprio titulo da música diz tudo :P mais adiante tem o techno do Maxime Dangles lançado em mais uma edição do Speicher pelo Kompakt (extra).. mais precisamente de número 59!!! de quem será o número 100?! fica o mistério.. encerro o pod com o super "Shine Shine" do Boys Noize remixado pelo Apparat.. é isso, curtam .. bjotchau!

Nessa semana o selo alemão Get Physical trouxe dois ótimos, e por que não dizer "grandes" lançamentos, afinal são nomes importantes dentro da música eletrônica underground. O primeiro deles é o "Body Language Vol. 6" mixado pelo Junior Boys, que traz uma playlist que não são apenas nomezinhos bonitos hahahah são nomes que trazem muita influência musical e conseqüentemente sons fantásticos como produto final. O mix começa com um lance disco house, passando pelo electro de uma forma sutil. É um bom mix com uma grande influência retrô, fácil e gostoso de ouvir. Abaixo separei algumas das faixas e a playlist com amostras das músicas no site do Juno Records.
Logo abaixo tem o novo do Booka Shade, não preciso falar mais nada né?! os caras mandam bem faz muito tempo, desde o clássico "Body Language" que ganhou remixes de vários produtores, e muita gente com certeza já dançou ouvindo esse hit!! Agora eles chegam com "Planetary", primeiro LP lançado após o lançamento especial do CD+DVD "Movements: Tour Edition". "Planetary" segue a linha sonora da dupla, que traz um "club mix" e um "dub mix", além do b-side "City Tales". Só falta ouvir e curtir!

Hey ppl, desculpem pela falta de atualização no blog, mas como está tudo muito corrido acabo perdendo aquele tempinho que eu tinha para pesquisar e comentar aqui os bons lançamentos, mas enfim.. dentre algumas coisas que ouvi essa semana, esse release do Shocking Pinks me chamou muito a atenção, primeiro pela arte da capa e segundo pela quantidade de remixes que contém nesse vinil duplo, logico que separei o meu preferido do segundo b-side, "Dressed To Please" remixado pelo Nathan Fake (Border Community)
