This divine brownie-look-alike is bottomed with crushed Oreo cookies which indirectly add more flavour to the cake once it is being consumed, you would be surprised with the taste of it as it is simply appetizing. Após tantos anos, rever esse filme ficou com sabor de primeira vez. E me peguei a pensar em como motivar a turma mais jovem que ainda não assistiu e tão acostumado a outro tipo de ritmo. Pela história em si, até pode ser que uma versão mais atual daria mais velocidade. Até porque não seria mais a Séverine, de Catherine Deneuve. Bela e elegante! Cujo personagem imortalizou-se na imaginação de homens, como também de mulheres de uma geração. Quem sabe de duas.

O lance maior seria que atualmente as "escapulidas" não têm mais o mesmo peso. Embora, em fóruns tenho visto jovens com idéias tão retrógradas, tão preconceituosas, que veriam nisso um pecado. Não que eu concorde também, pois para mim quem tem esse tesão todo por sexo, por orgias sexuais... Deveria romper com o casamento. Ir à luta... O que quero dizer, é o porque dessa personagem cair no gosto popular e dos eruditos também. Creio que o mérito maior é da atriz. Irradiando charme!

Esmiuçando o filme... Tentando não revelar tudo. Há pouco tempo de casada, Séverine sente-se mais que entediada, sente a falta de sexo. Não tem o menor tesão pelo marido (Jean Sorel). Embora a trate com carinho, ele não a satisfaz. Não há o gosto de algo proibido. De algo pecaminoso. Não sabemos se é fruto de sua imaginação, ou não, por lembranças rápidas, nos mostra que passou por abusos sexuais, pequenas carícias por um homem adulto. Seu pai? Pode ser. Se não houve de fato, pode ser para tentar dar a si própria uma justificativa para o fogo atual. Um fogo que só tomará proporção ao saber uma história de uma conhecida do Clube de Tênis. E pelo amigo (Michel Piccoli) do marido que conta da Casa da Madama Anais (Geniviève Page).

Séverine então passa as suas tardes transando com vários homens. Ganhando a alcunha de Belle de Jour. (Revendo o filme agora, não deu para não pensar na música do Alceu Valença.) Para ela, quanto mais rudes, mais prazer sentia. Seu humor com o marido, melhorava a cada dia. Ele completava um lado seu: o de um marido bonito. Pois é, uma inversão de papéis que nesse caso ainda atual: o de marido objeto em vez da mulher. O que não deixa de ter graça perante aos machistas. Voltando ao marido...

Ele nota a mudança dela. Achando que ia tudo bem, fala de terem filhos. Acontece que ser mãe não está nas fantasias dela. Nem nos planos. Ocasionando novos desconfortos entre o casal.

Tudo caminhava a contento, até que um jovem (Pierre Clémenti) se apaixona por ela. Tornando-se obsessivo. Para ela, ele era só mais um homem que a fazia sentir enormes prazeres na cama. Talvez por sentir que está perdendo o companheiro de tráfico, seu comparsa a segue, descobrindo sua verdadeira identidade. Mas antes disso, o amigo de seu marido a flagra num dos quartos da casa da Madama Anais. O que a faz pensar em parar por um tempo. É porque desistir de fato, ela não quer. O jovem vai a sua casa e faz chantagem. Ela consegue ganhar um tempo.

Louco de amor por ela, o jovem resolve, a seu jeito, dar uma solução. Acontece que o resultado foi pior para o lado dele. Para Séverine, veio como uma punição. Peso na consciência. Faltava o tiro de misericórdia. Que veio pelo tal amigo do marido. Alguém que sentia muita inveja do casal.

E no final... não, o certo seria: e o final... pois é, o final poderão alguns ficar sem entender. Para mim, o amigo do marido lhe fez foi um grande favor. Tirando-lhe um peso. Dando a ela a chance de voltar a vida dupla; e sem mais barreiras. Livre, leve e solta.

Não darei nota máxima, porque senti falta de música. No meu imaginário, Paris também tem músicas belas e românticas. Como também quero passar um bom tempo até voltar a assistir. Para sentir o mesmo clima.

Dark currents of profound social change swirled through my consciousness as I cleaned the kitchen. And then I started to think about crumbs. What are they anyway? And how did they get there?

I don’t think crumbs are as innocent as they would have us believe; just because they are small doesn’t mean they are harmless. Because crumbs live in a world of darkness, I suspect their intent is dark as well.

A friend of mine has an electron microscope, so I sent some crumb samples over to her to examine. Having such a sophisticated lab instrument might seem unusual for some people, but if you knew some of my friends, you’d come to expect the unusual. She’s a bit of a geek, but I always felt that was a good thing. Have you ever considered a life without geeks? No cellphones, TV, computers or the Internet, and I haven’t even taken off my gloves yet. No microwaves, iPods, digital cameras, DVD’s or Red Bull. You heard me. Where do you think Red Bull comes from? I don’t know either, but if there’s organic chemistry involved there will be someone wearing a lab-coat, taped-up glasses and pocket protector at the helm, someone who was better at science in high school than you were.

An important part of crumb strategy -– are they man-made? or alien? or man-made to look alien? -– is to blend in and wait for the right moment, like a jungle sniper. A well-known crumb tactic is to be left behind; that’s how they disseminate. And anything involving “dissemination” will focus on controlling others by outnumbering them. That’s why we have to keep an eye on the Chinese. Do you ever wonder why there are so many of them? I do.

The Chinese government has for decades employed an insidious plot for world domination. They claim to have a “one child” policy. Secret data –- how did I get it? wouldn’t you like to know -– reveals a pattern of clandestine night flights of government aircraft dropping fertility drugs onto rice paddies. At the same time Chinese are given placebo contraceptive pills, which look suspiciously like M&M’s. (The tiny ‘M’ on each piece looks remarkably like the Chinese character for “Peace, Harmony, and NO MORE KIDS FOR YOU!”) I believe the powerful Mars family of Virginia, the people who just bought Wrigley, plan to get the Chinese population addicted to chocolate. Once addicted to chocolate, and only my fiancée seems to be immune, the Chinese will fuel demand for the Mars company’s dominance of the world chocolate market. And if you didn’t know it, the Mars company also owns Uncle Ben’s Rice. You think that’s a coincidence? Perhaps in the future there will be only two food groups: rice and chocolate. Has the Mars family formulated a plot to take over China, even while the Chinese have hopes of taking over the world? It wouldn’t surprise me.

Questionable interrogation techniques were used to glean important intelligence on the upcoming Olympics in Beijing. American agents employed waterboarding with torrents of Red Bull, and compelled captured Chinese operatives to reveal that important world figures will be kidnapped. Once the Olympic stadium, the so-called “Bird’s Nest” is full, the doors will be locked, and the approximately 90,000 people will be trapped. They will then be transferred to a huge underground prison, cunningly disguised as a food court. There, Westerners will be detained, questioned, drugged, and have their wallets emptied. These important but hapless Westerners will all then subsequently disappear, and be put to work in Chinese factories.

CIA satellite photography reveals that the new Terminal 3D of Beijing’s mammoth airport is designed for incoming flights only -- clear evidence that tourists who come to Beijing are not expected to leave. Airline industry analysts suggest that the new terminal was modeled after Heathrow’s new Terminal 5, which should have raised considerable suspicion, after tens of thousands of pieces of luggage, and hundreds of passengers, simply vanished in the inaugural days of that airport’s new addition. Even the Queen is missing.

I have to finish cleaning the kitchen now. I haven’t heard back yet from my friend who was looking at crumbs under her electron microscope, but I bet she will find that each tiny crumb has ‘Made in China’ written on it. Be afraid.

I totally skipped the ClanDestine the first time around in the mid-1990s, as it was printed in that decade when I pretty much avoided most mainstream comic books, X-Men-related titles especially.

Written and drawn by Alan Davis, a misfit family of mutants emerge out of hiding to face an enemy that could endanger us all. To my great surprise, this hardcover is excellent! :)

I really like the writing by Alan Davis, he fleshes out the characters and their history gradually over the issues, and though some of the action gets quite heavy, the script is often comedic and tongue-in-cheek. I get a real Power Pack/Runaways vibe about this comic book.

It should be noted that this does not quite print ALL original ClanDestine issues. The original series went for 12 issues, with the final four issues written by Glenn Dakin.

Though, the 2 part X-Men crossover is certainly the epilogue of the overall Alan Davis storyline from the "classic" era.

Yesterday Sunday evening, while most of the lodge parties were just getting underway, I met up with several other of the Connecticut Freemason bloggers. This was the end result of six months of emails and phone calls which began "Hey, we should all get together for dinner some night and talk about blogging." After half a dozen missed opportunities, we managed to agree to meet the night before GL at the restaurant in the hotel. Fueled by the vapors of distilled grain, I had several hours of conversation with 3M of Northeastern Corner, the esteemed Traveling Man of Movable Jewel, and the Very Worshipful Charles Tirrell of Masonic Renaissance. We were missing MF (Metaphysical Freemason), whose father-in-law had to be taken to the hospital that morning. The pressures of work, family, geography, and of course our Masonly duties made scheduling one night a much more difficult task than you would have thought.

I've spent a little bit of time in and after meetings with both VW Brother Charles and with MJ, but this was the first time we'd been able to hang out without any particular agenda. And none of us have been able to spend much time with 3M, mainly because his district is down in New York (well, it seems that way anyhow). A pleasant and thoughtful young man, 3M was only raised a couple of years ago, making him the newbie. Nobody else from his lodge was able to make the trip up.

VW Charles brought up some officers from his own lodge, also younger Masons, and we spent a pleasant couple of hours having drinks and sandwiches, and just getting to know a little about each other. All of us being Connecticut Masons, we had the opportunity to discuss not just blogging and internet Masonry, but also topics concerning local, district and state events. Table conversation ranged from praising (and poking) other well-known bloggers and some of the recent topics, internet Masonry and how it can be better utilized to the benefit of the Craft (we're in favor of more of it), District Blue Lodge Council meetings (some people find them to be a waste of time), the state of ritual (to some degree), and some of the items up for discussion at Grand Lodge (oh yeah, there's a session).

After a dinner of sandwiches and frits (the French word for "fries," I was informed), we retired upstairs to VW Charles' room, where 3M treated us to some finely crafted hand-rolled cigars, which we enjoyed out on the balcony - smoking being prohibited in the hotel rooms. While enjoying the aroma, not to mention the invigorating New England air, we continued our discussions. The non-blogging junior officers lost interest, and retired to the warmth of the room, where they kept themselves occupied with a Wii, iPods, laptops, and various other electronic gear.

As Charles mentioned in his own post on this subject, we found it surprising that with Connecticut being such a small state, the four of us had managed to develop notably differing ideas and opinions about Freemasonry. This wasn't so obvious when discussing our ideas for how to improve the quality of meetings and Masonic education, but was more noticeable when we discussed our positions on those states which have yet to fully recognize the Prince Hall jurisdictions, and how our UGLE-related fraternity intersects with orders that have long since split off: La Droit Humain, Grand Orientes, and Co-Masonry. Fortunately, real Masons manage to subdue their passions when discussing such potentially divisive subjects, and we soon veered off those topics to discuss the proposed legislation and some of the rumors that had been making the rounds. We also traded stories about some of the lodges that we've seen that are doing it wrong (and some that are doing it right), and kicked around some of our own ideas for what could make for better lodges.

Charles is a very progressive-minded brother who has a number of great ideas for lodges on his own site, including utilizing Pay Pal or similar services to collect dues money. We also thought that the dreaded dues increases would hurt less if we allowed the members to pay in monthly or quarterly installments; we noted that most dues are, um, due right around the holidays - just when people are already ticked about paying bills. Perhaps a subscription service might be a better way to go for some of the brethren. We also discussed having some of the brothers "pay" in service, rather than in coinage; some brothers could agree to a certain number of hours doing maintenance, cleaning, repairs, etc., in exchange for some abatement on dues. We also - and I hope he doesn't mind my mentioning it here - tossed around the idea of recording video interviews with notable brothers; not necessarily the oldest or famous, but brothers with an interesting perspective on the fraternity. Any Connecticut brothers with video editing experience who are interested in lending some help might want to contact VW Bro Charles.

Eventually we had to go home - at least, some of us did. TM wandered off to his car, and I took 3M for a tour around the hotel to meet the members of Friendship Lodge. A couple of brothers were at the room, and others appeared as we were having a drink. I left 3M in the fraternal care of our SW Eric, who promised to look after him, and I left for home around midnight. Since 3M was staying overnight, I was reasonably certain that he wouldn't get into much trouble. I later found that natural supposition to be erroneous, but that's a topic for another article.

The four of us got together out of curiosity - indeed, we've been trying to find some way to get together for months, but just haven't been able to get our schedules together. When we decided to meet, it was because we thought that we had two things in common: Freemasonry, and a desire to share our experiences and perspectives via this medium. There are five of us who blog about the Craft, not counting the few people who mention Freemasonry on their MySpace and LiveJournal pages. While it doesn't sound like very many, it does, in fact, make up a significant portion of the Craft-bloggers extant on the internet; more impressive when you consider the size of our state. In an age in which internet communication is becoming more utilized by new and potential members, I'm glad that such a great group of brothers has been able to spread some light through this new medium, and I'm sure that all of us look forward to doing this in the future.

Clandestine in Nordstrom? WEIRD. I would never think to associate the two together…it seems… almost unholy.

I’m sure it’s going to be placed in the tween juniors section, be an online exclusive, or snuck next to the L.A.M.B. displays.

The FBI has recently adopted a novel investigative technique: posting hyperlinks that purport to be illegal videos of minors having sex, and then raiding the homes of anyone willing to click on them.

Undercover FBI agents used this hyperlink-enticement technique, which directed Internet users to a clandestine government server, to stage armed raids of homes in Pennsylvania, New York, and Nevada last year. The supposed video files actually were gibberish and contained no illegal images.

A CNET News.com review of legal documents shows that courts have approved of this technique, even though it raises questions about entrapment, the problems of identifying who's using an open wireless connection--and whether anyone who clicks on a FBI link that contains no child pornography should be automatically subject to a dawn raid by federal police.

Roderick Vosburgh, a doctoral student at Temple University who also taught history at La Salle University, was raided at home in February 2007 after he allegedly clicked on the FBI's hyperlink. Federal agents knocked on the door around 7 a.m., falsely claiming they wanted to talk to Vosburgh about his car. Once he opened the door, they threw him to the ground outside his house and handcuffed him.

Well, folks the wait is finally over. GO Transit's double-decker bus has finally arrived on Canadian roads! After spending millions and millions of dollars for GO Transit on expanding their service, they finally get their treat: 12 new vehicles built by a Scottish-based company called Alexander Dennis has made their grand debut on Canadian roads. The new bus was showcased at GO Transit's maintenance facility in Toronto. Premier Dalton McGuinity, minister of Transportation Jim Bradley and many representatives were on hand to showcase and unveil the bus' display.

• The double decker buses are manufactured by Alexander Dennis Limited, a UK-based company. There are no North American manufacturers of double decker buses.
  
• The buses’ dimensions are:

    • Height: 14 feet (4.3 metres)
      

• GO Transit’s standard 45-foot (13.7-metre) highway commuter bus seats 57 passengers; the double decker bus can carry 78 passengers – an increase of 21 riders or 37 per cent.
  
  • To prepare for the introduction of double decker buses, GO worked with the Ministry of Transportation, all road and fire departments from the regional and local governments along the proposed routes, representatives from 407 ETR, and the Ontario Provincial Police.
    
  • Selected routes for the double deckers have been thoroughly studied to ensure height clearance

The people at GO Transit has to handle these buses with great care. I don't want a situation to happen, as does this video shows:

As the old saying goes, expect the unexpected. When the vessel that were shipping the buses made a stop in Halifax, Nova Scotia, at least four stowaways were on board hidden on the double decker buses that were destined for Toronto. They are currently in custody pending hearing. A statement has been released by Alexander Dennis He quote, "It would be virtually impossible for stowaways to get on its buses before they went aboard the ship, because there are security checks done during the drive from the factory and before the bus enters the port area. Our drivers take the vehicle right onto the ship and before they leave them they do a final delivery inspection. They go through every aspect of the bus, from A to Z....''

Clan Destine is a 5-part retelling or update to a former comic, which I haven't read, so this review is only based off what I know of this story arc. The story so far is more based on the two youngest of the group, Imp (Rory) and Crimson Crusader (Pandora), while slowly introducing us to the others in the group. Issue #1 starts off with Rory having dreams in class of being a super hero, fighting along side with Spider-Man.We find out his powers are only active when his twin sister Pandora is within his vicinity. Her power seems to consist of flight and invisibility while Imp’s seems to be more inline with a leech, but it’s hard to say for sure. Pandora is the more mature and protective of the twins, yet lacks the discipline of controlling her powers. 

Later in the issue we learn that the kids are only allowed to use their power under supervision from their elders.The clan's father loses control and turns into a blue "Hulk"-type character when he gets upset. As the dad learns of Rory and Pandora’s use of their power earlier in the day he proceeds to scold them, telling them they can never be too careful. I guess he forgot that they're kids and kids usually like to get into mischief.As the Destine's go through their struggle of hiding, fighting, and controlling the urge to use their powers, a mysterious council (whose name is not yet revealed) investigates the members of the Destine group. This council comes to the understanding that the Eldest Destine (Rory and Pandora’s father) is actually immortal. As the investigation continues, other family members are revealed to be certain superheroes. The council's intentions aren't really disclosed but they are using the Destine’s past foes against them as most likely a test of sorts.

 From what I've read so far this comic seems interesting. Since it is a first issue and I didn’t read the previous series I have to say that it didn’t grab me much. It seemed pretty slow, yet at the same time there is a sense of story building and progression happening here. I'm hoping things get better over the next few issues. I'll keep my eye on this series, but as it stands I can’t honestly give it too much praise. If you're interested in this book, I’d say wait for a few more reviews of issues #1 and #2 to come out before jumping on.

Today was a cold day in January, it was a warm day in May, you jackass! One man ventured on the streets of Toronto. This is his story. Enjoy. (homage to an infamous quote by the All-American Rejects)

It started off with me getting dressed for the concert. I was wearing a black Famous Stars and Straps T-shirt, a studded belt, a FSAS belt buckle, chocolate brown Dickies pants and a pair of Macbeth Elliot shoes. I then spiked my hair and applied some deodorant on me. I also put some cologne "to get the feeling right" (blink 182 reference!!!). I boarded the GO Train to Union Station. I listened to my tunes that I had carried along my journey. I was listening to a few tunes by The Academy Is..., Fall Out Boy, Faber Drive, Marianas Trench and +44 (Plus forty four).

I stopped off at Union, bought a daypass to ride the entire TTC system, took the subway to Dundas Station and I went to visit some stores along the Yonge-Dundas corridor. Before that, I walked around Queen and John streets and visited some shops down there. I then realized that my favourite band +44 was going to appear at the Edge 102 radio station on that day so prior to that, I went to check out the festivities at Yonge-Dundas square. They have some kind of South Asian festival called "Desifest" or something like that. I checked out the great entertainment, but only for a short time. I then made my grand sortie to the Edge 102 radio station where +44 is planning to do a radio interview with a DJ.

Without my further surprise, I randomly met a person who really likes the band +44 - it was a Mexican who wants to know how to get to the Molson Amphitheatre by transit. The guy's name is Mau. I talked to him about the details and he told me that he really loves +44. He also likes Blink-182 which as you know by now, broke up. The personnel at the station told us where to stand and told us that you can only have one item autographed by the band, no personal pictures with the band members. We have to stay quiet because it is a live broadcast. My friend managed to film a shot of the band signing autographs to the band and taking pictures of them. Here's a video shot by him:

Anyways, I managed to get my +44 CD autographed by the band and also took a few pictures of the band. Here's a few of them:

Anyways, me and my friend decided to make our getaway to the streetcar stop and I have to guide him where to go. We took the 501 Queen West streetcar and then we transfer to the 511 Bathurst streetcar towards the Exhibition loop. We were then bombarded by ticket scalpers and then we have to go over the Ontario Place bridge to the lineup of fans. On the distance, I saw +44's tour bus which was parked outside the parking lot. I managed to take a shot of that and then I told my friend Mau to line up with the fans, I then told him to "good luck" and he disappears in the mass of fans, since he has different seats than mine. After a few security checks, I managed to enter the Molson Amphitheatre.

By the time I enter my seats, Fall Out Boy's sidekick by the alias of "Dirty" welcomed the crowd. The performance started off with Cobra Starship and after that DJ Paul Wall performed. During the break, I walked around the concert area and then I randomly met two fans who went to the concert, too. There was one guy named "Rafal" and a girl named "Amanda". They think i'm a very funny guy....We began to socialize for a while and then I received a text message from my sister that she was in the concert area. I told her earlier to meet me inside the concert. I later met up with my sister and I showed her my friend Mau, who was at the concert too, but he has to leave the concert since he wasn't unable to stay to see Fall Out Boy. I also showed my sister my two friends that I met. We socialize and Amanda kissed me!!! I literally laughed and that was my moment that I will never forget.

Anyways, as the evening grew and grew and as the crowds grow and grow, Fall Out Boy performed for the massive crowd! They performed very rad and the fans seem to love it! After the concert was finished I had a very great time, and so does my sister. As we made a grand sortie (exit) from the Molson Amphitheatre and head toward the Exhibition GO station, I began to think to myself that I had accomplished a plan and it really pays off! I bought a +44 t-shirt. It has a picture of the band in front and at the back, there is a list of tour dates of their North American tour. The venue also sold a few t-shirts of Fall Out Boy and my friend named Bobby Foley told me that he bought a FOB t-shirt. Quite cool. There was supposed to be some Clandestine Industries (a clothing company owned by Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz) being sold at the Toronto and Montreal shows, but there weren't sold at the time. Bad News - The Canadian Government isn't letting through our palette of tour merchandise, so there will be no Clandestine merch in Montreal or Toronto :(

Now here's my translation of that, concise and more clear: "Due to circumstances beyond our control and difficulties with the border officials, we were unable to provide Clandestine merchandise at our Montreal and Toronto shows. We apologize to our fans for the inconvenience that this may have caused."

Luckily, my guess is that particular merchandise were sold at the Vancouver show, but it's anyone's guess. Anyways, the Fall Out Boy/+44 is a concert to remember and I hope one of you who attended that concert will learn something new out there and yeah, say thanks.
