Susan....she seems to be improving in terms of how comfortable she feels. I felt like she forgot many of her steps though, which is unacceptable.

Lacey and Lance...Loved it, loved it, loved it! So beautiful! Both the dance and Lacey! And Lance did really well. Bruno wasn't a fan....is he crazy?!  Len...complains of flat footedness...bad posture...but says it's their best so far. I thought it was way better than Susan Lucci!

I hate Cheryl Burke...but I can't say I hated her dance tonight. She and Maurice did well. I thought the clock on his back was obnoxious though.  Oh--and she looks like she's starting to lose some of that weight--still ugly though. Ooooh--she's my daily self-esteem post! I'm glad I don't have her face!

Rocco: He is so adorable! Hate the song, hate the dance, hate the mask he started with, her dress is too busy, rubbing noses was annoying. Len with the glasses...stupid.

Warren Sapp...how adorable is he?! I don't know if I'm a fan of head to toe burgundy, but he is adorable and is trying so hard! I don't know how graceful he looked...I mean, he's a giant of a guy, but for being as big as he is, he did great!

Cody and Julianne...Of course, let's include a video of man-voice Miley in the pre-dance package. Yuck!  Hate country music, hate Julianne's hair, the second time he played guitar on her leg I was annoyed (once was cute--two was obnoxious), the dance was alright...definitely took a lot of energy.  Len actually agreed with me about two leg guitars!

Toni....I give her props for wearing that ridiculous outfit. I can imagine having that wide thing on was difficult. I will say this about her: she genuinely dances like she's in it to win it. I just get that vibe from her. She seems to be enjoying herself and also wants to do well.  As to the dance itself...I didn't care for it. But I do appreciate that they tried to make the Vienese Waltz not so boring.

Cloris and Corky: What a fun grandma she'd be. How cute does she look!But the shtick of her being old and not being able to dance is getting a bit old. I mean, I seriously am starting to feel as if she should be a litle more capable. I feel like she doesn't even try to follow the technique. But her cleavage...I hope mine looks as good fifty years from now!

Brooke...Pretty dress, pretty flowers in the hair. Beautiful dance! Sweet kiss to her daughter! Absolutely lovely!

Misty....Ouch!

So, who do I want to go home? Susan (still looking a bit awkward), Maurice (because I hate Cheryl), Rocco (he's cute, but his dance sucked this week), or Cloris (it's not fair to those who are really dancing their hearts out for her to stay much longer).

About two months ago, my wife signed our son Dylan up for AYSO soccer for the fall season. But when she did so, she also signed us up to coach. Yikes.

I spent as much time playing or watching soccer in my youth as I did learning to write sanskrit.

Anyway, there was nothing I could do about it (except moan and whine a little), so I've tried to make the best of it. Brooke is listed as the head coach, so all of the responsibility isn't on me, thank goodness.

We have 5 kids, ages 4-6. And we struggled early on.

Eventually, we gave up on drills and tried to just let them play. It didn't do much good to worry about what they were learning if they hadn't grasped the basic concepts of which direction they were trying to take the ball, passing to teammates, scoring and not letting the opposition score.

So after the first game was a disaster, the guys have slowly improved.

Don't get me wrong, there's still the occasional on-field breakdown. We've had players walk off to hug a parent mid game, and Dylan and Brayson, my nephew, have actually fought over a tree branch during a game. That's not that hard to believe, seeing as how the two of them them have to be separated for hugging and wrestling each other when they are on the field together.

Last week, though we aren't supposed to keep score at this age group (there are also no goalies), we almost finished in a tie, missing our last shot off the post as the game ended.

A step forward.

This week, however, was a breakthrough. We're not supposed to keep score, but let's just say, we had somewhere between 5 and 7 and the other guys had somewhere between 3 and 5. And even though the reason we don't keep score is to ensure it's all about having fun and learning the game for the kids at this level, don't think they didn't realize what was going on.

They knew. And the post-game snacks were a little tastier Saturday.

Be a giver ~ you know you wanna!!

Wow, did you see this episode last night on E4? If not you defo missed out, what a cliffhanger, slightly predictable but I never foresaw what happened to Dan.

For those who didn't see it, I have written it down for you below (CONTAINS SPOILERS!)

This episode opens with Gavin DeGraw singing next to Jamie "I Don't Want to Be", its nice to hear that song again, I miss it not being the opening song for the show.  We next move on to Lucus who is necking shots down his neck, drowning his sorrows about Lindsey moving on, not facing his problems.  We see him in various state.

Lucus is then woken up hungover by Jamie and Nathen "your room smells of ass" ahhh great line! Lucus also has a mohawk...hmmm defo not 2008 style, although it isn't explained how he got it.  Nathen explains he is suspended from coaching for 10 games, but there is only 11 left in the season and that Lucus must face his news, as "the darkness doesn't have any answers."    As Jamie looks in awe of Lucus hair style, its no surprise to see him supporting one a couple of scenes later!

Haley goes to Lucus and they get rid of his hair, thank goodness, but on the way she explains that he broke Peyton's heart by telling her he hates her, and that he wishes she never came back as she is the cause of all his problems.  Hayley tells Lucus to stop the car, at a green light, and moments later their car is attacked by a water balloon, to express her inner feelings "kinda like Peyton's heart".  She pleads with him to decide who he wants and to make up his mind, up on the roof of Clothes over Bro's, which is where Peyton threw the balloons from, but has gone at this point, as its about time he decides just exactly who he wants; Brooke, Peyton or Lindsey.

Brooke and Angie have 8 days left together before she must return home.  Brooke tells Angie that they are going to the beach today, but gets a phone call from the adoption people, saying that Angie is going home today instead.  Brooke panics Angie isn't well enough to go home, and takes her to see the doctor who performed the operation, and he tells her she must let her go as she is strong enough.

Jamie and Nathen are watching basketball, when Jamie asks him when he is going to be playing for NBA again; his reply, he probably never will.  Nathen realises that Jamie is looking forward for him to making his big comeback, and continues to practice with Quentin.  Nathen sees Jamie playing basketball with rolled up socks, and questions him about it.  Its not till Nathen goes outside, and sees the proper ball in the pool, that he knows Jamie is too afraid to go back into the pool after his accident.  So Nathen retrieves the ball for him, although doesn't get wet doing so :S  On the way home, Jamie reveals to Nathen he is scared of the pool, and he goes on to tell Nathen its ok if he wants to quit.

After finding he is second on the list to receive a heart, Dan finds out who is number 1 and visits them delivering flowers to the Reverend.  Dan tells him that he is being selfish in hogging the heard.  A nurse interrupts them, and he tells her he is making him comfortable.  She goes on to offer Dan a pillow, which he accepts, for ulterior motives.  He makes a deal with reverend, if he dies, Dan will spend the rest of the team seeking redemption.  Dan tells the Reverend, that he needs to take one for the team, as he has lived a long life, but Dan still needs the heart to allow time for his redemption.  But he looks at the card Jamie gave him, and decides not to murder him after all. Dan returns to visit the Reverend, to find he died, giving Dan the signed he wanted.

After finishing with Lucus, Haley goes to see Peyton, at the studio, to record her new album, and assures her Lucus doesn't hate her, showing her the predictions her and Lucus made before each school year.  Each year (bar 1 or 2) it always seemed to involve Peyton.  But Peyton still doesn't believe her, as Lucus' actions are always different from what he writes. Hayley tells her, that sometimes you write what you are afraid to say, and thats where her lyrics come from.

Lindsey turns up at Lucus's house saying she has finished editing his book, and says it's perfect.  But really she has come to say goodbye, and gives him a peck on the  check.  Lucus tells her it isn't done, and she hasn't got his dedication yet, but she tells him he can just email her.  He asks if she ever misses him, but she walks away.  I don't know why I don't like her? :S

Mouth destroys the tape he recorded of Lucus hitting the player.  The station hires a new newsreader, and Mouth is shunned at work.  Millie visits, and walk past the newsreader, who starts to hit on Millie, but she tells him flat out that hers is better.  She goes on to tell him he should go to Omaha to pursue the job he turned down, and she will go with him.  Aww they make such a sweet couple.

A while later, Nathen and Hayley stand behind Jamie, outside by the pool, and watch him walk slowly to the pool to find the courage to jump in, with his arm bands on.  After Jamie succeeds, Nathen and Hayley follow suit, fully clothed.

Brooke goes to the airport to take Angie back.  With her heart still breaking, we see Peyton write a message to Lucus across the entire basketball court, which she ends with "I love you - Peyton."  She hopes if she makes the first move, Lucus will follow.  Lucus spots this and is impressed and calls Hayley telling her to come over to the court.  She goes on to tell him that he can't run away anymore, as they aren't kids, after he tells her he is thinking of going away for a bit.  Hayley provides him with his dedication; that he should drop all the garbage and just give into love.  "To all those lost souls who have forgotten to believe in the immensity of love" is what he sends to Lindsey.

After sending the dedication to Lindsey by email, she calls him, only to get his voice mail.  She leaves him a message, telling him she has been lying to him, and that she hasn't really moved on, there is no boyfriend.  She lied because she misses him every single day. "I just got your dedication and I guess I'm one of those lost souls because I lied to you. I said I was seeing someone and I wasn't. The truth is that I was afraid of the immensity of your love. You asked me if I missed you, of course I miss you, that's all I do."  Lucus receives his voice mail, while at the river court.

Lucus turns up at the airport to support Brooke.  She didn't want him to come, because she doesn't like anyone seeing her like this (vulnerable), for which Lucus says that's how he has always seen her.  She thanks him for being there and helping her get through this, as she isn't sure she would of made it through without him.  When at home she tells him she loves him for helping her come to terms with loosing Angie, and he reciprocates what she said.  Does she mean it in more than a friendship way, does he?! We don't know..Lucus leaves with Angie's purple monkey.

At Mouth's work, the show goes live to air, but the teleprompter dies.  We see Mouth step up and gives the presenter words to say, as he refused to have the lines on paper in front of him.  After the show cuts to advert, everyone praises him and gives him a round of applause.  But he announces he is quitting.  Good on him!

Peyton finds out, from Mia, she has met some guy on the road who knew Ellie, which distracts her.   Lucus comes to talk to her, and explains he doesn't really hate her, and apologises.  He also explains that letting her go, losing her and then re seeing her, was the hardest thing.  Peyton goes on to say she dreams of what would of happened if she had accepted his proposal of marriage.  She tells him in every dream, she always says yes! He explains that's its just a dream, but she goes to say its her dream!

Quentin outplays Nathen, and he quits.  After a pep talk with Nathen, after sending Jamie to get some water, and avoid psycho nannies, he tells him that he is scared of going after what he wants.  Which forces Nathen to play his best ever, and Quentin and Jamie look on in amazement after the move he has just performed, a slam dunk.

Dan leaves the hospital, happy.  He spots an old man outside the hospital, who has dropped his cane.  He escorts the guy to the pavement, telling him its dangerous, and in doing so gets run over.  His beeper goes off, to warn him his new heart is ready, but he doesn't respond.

In the final scenes of the finale, Lucus is at the airport and calls someone (we don't know who, but I do :P) to say he has two tickets for Las Vegas, and wants to know if they will come along and get married. The twist...we see all three (Brooke, Lindsey and Peyton) all answering their phones...

Tonight's episode was CRAZY. That bitch Carrie is off her rocker. I can't believe she broke the car window with an ax even though Jamie was in there. The she chases him through a corn field like he's actually stupid enough to go with her. Then she resorts to pulling out a syringe to try and sedate him or something like that's going to calm him down some. Good thing Haley woke up from being knocked in the back of the head to save him. Deb was funny though when she hit Carrie in the face with that bottle of wine, I think it was. She said she was saving it for when she was finally rid of Dan. Hahaha. She is so hilarious. After being knocked out with a wine bottle that bitch still gets back up and Dan saves Haley and Deb by shooting Carrie. A little while later she wakes up AGAIN! She starts laughing, saying stuff like you can't kill me, blah blah. He tells her "I told you I would kill you if you came near my family again." Then BAM! He shoots her again. I hope she's actually dead this time. Psycho ass slut. I felt sorry for Brooke. She lost everything. I think she'll end up being more successful than her mother Victoria. Her mom is the biggest B-I-T-C-H you'll ever meet. She denies that she hired someone to rob her, but I still think she did it.

On Wednesday, the girls and I and our neighbors - Laura, Anna, & Kate - visited the Baltimore Zoo. It was the perfect day! Cool, not crowded, and good times with good friends!

É incrível ver como depois de 6 temporadas One Tree Hill ainda consegue nos surpreender com um episódio sensacional. E o único motivo desse episódio ser sensacional, é porque nele podemos ver a essência de todos os personagens da série. Desde os mais antigos, como Brooke, Nathan, Haley, Lucas e Peyton, até o pequeno Jamie Scott. É ruim o fato de que precisamos de uma morte para que pudéssemos presenciar tais momentos, mas há males que vem pra o bem. O 6x03 de One Tree Hill veio para mostrar que, mesmo após 6 temporadas, a série ainda tem fôlego, graças a personagens magistralmente escritas.

O episódio, embora tenha sido perfeito, no geral, teve alguns erros em sua execução. Esse episódio não era para ter cenas do Dan e da Nanny Carrie, pois tais cenas quebraram todo o ritmo do episódio e, NÃO, a história da Nanny Carrie ter perdido um filho não me comoveu nem um pouco, me parecendo um drama forçado, entre tantos outros que aconteciam no episódio. Alguns outros erros do episódio foram: algumas partes do episódio que se desenvolveram de forma muito lenta, deixando o episódio ter dramas longos que poderiam muito bem serem resolvidos em cenas de 3 minutos, no máximo. E aquele micro- flashback do Nathan, onde seu pai o manda beijar o bisavô foi a coisa mais desnecessária que eu já vi em todos os episódios de One Tree Hill, poderia muito bem ter deixado aquilo no contexto da conversa. Mas esses erros tornaram-se coisas minúsculas, dada a grandiosidade do episódio.

O drama de Brooke Davis continuou em evidência no episódio. Mas, assim como a própria B. Davis, ele ficou em segundo plano, em prol de um problema maior. É incrível ver como ela continua a mesma pessoa de sempre com os amigos, mesmo tendo recuperado algo da antiga Brooke, mas essa, quem vai lidar com ela é Victoria. Foi incrível a cena entre ela e Nathan. Os dois são meus personagens favoritos da série, e fico muito triste com as pouquíssimas cenas unicamente deles (que são raríssimas) que aparecem na série. Espero que Nathan decida mesmo ajudar Brooke, para que possamos ver mais de Sophia Bush e James Lafferty juntos em cena.

Adorei ver como Nathan e Haley encararam a notícia, e como eles passaram isso para o Jamie. A família Scott é perfeita, e a união deles é o que ajuda muito nesses momentos. Eles não passam por nada assim desde a morte do Keith. E além do mais, tinham uma relação bastante estreita com Quentin. No geral, gostei muito de como eles lideram com essa tragédia, tanto no âmbito familiar, quanto na vida profissional.

Vale destacar a excelente interpretação da atriz que fez a mãe do Quentin. Ela foi brilhante em cena, quando Nathan, Haley, Skills e Lucas foram visitá-la. Consegui perceber a dor que ela realmente sentia, e até senti um arrepio quando ela diz que nunca vai esquecê-lo. Emocionante. Quem melhorou também como ator foi Antwon Tanner (Skills), a sua cena no final do episódio, onde ele chora na quadra também foi emocionante. Peyton para mim, nesse episódio pareceu apática demais. Ta bom que o relacionamento dela com o Quentin era quase nulo, mas até a Brooke mostrou absorver o sofrimento dos amigos. Chad (Lucas) mais uma vez mostrou o quão péssimo ator é, e não acrescentou em nada no episódio (talvez seja por isso que Peyton estava tão apática, afinal, de quem ela ia absorver sofrimento?). E por último Samantha. Ela surgiu em um momento bom, mas é uma personagem fraca. Ela é simplesmente a versão feminina do Quentin. A garota má que a Haley vai ajudar. Espero que Mark reserve uma surpresa pra ela, senão ele terá trocado seis por meia-dúzia. Mas vale destacar o texto lindo que é narrado por ela durante o episódio.

E para encerrar: Jamie. Desde o final do último episódio eu já esperava um show do Jackson Brundage (intérprete do Jamie) para esse episódio. E ele não me decepcionou. A pessoa que disser que esperava mais, está querendo demais de uma criança de 5 anos. Jamie não entende a morte como seus pais ou tios. Ele sente a dor, e chama atenção para isso no fim do episódio, quando faz questão de ir ao enterro, mas a sua dor é algo incompreensível para um adulto. Ele não tem a necessidade de expor esse sentimento, mesmo porque, a falta do Q ainda não foi sentida, ele apenas percebe um vazio. Quem perdeu familiares próximos nessa idade pode dizer o quão verossímil foi a interpretação do Jackson naquelas cenas. Ficaria falso se ele passasse o episódio todo chorando, trancado no quarto. Essa é a primeira experiência de perda que Jamie passa em sua vida (ele não era vivo quando Keith morreu), mas isso não quer dizer que ele não tenha passado pelos estágios do pesar, mas simplesmente, as crianças chegam a aceitação mais rapidamente. As cenas mais fantásticas do episódio são cenas em que ele está presente: toda a continuidade da cena do balanço (que termina com ele entregando a camisa de Q para o seu irmão), a cena em que ele vai se arrumar, para ir ao enterro de Quentin e a mais espetacular de todas, a cena dele com Brooke, no final do episódio, mostrando o seu pesar pela morte de Quentin, quando todos já foram e ele coloca a capa (o último elo dos dois) sobre o caixão. (Parabéns novamente a Sophia Bush. Aula de interpretação)

Resta saber agora se o próximo episódio vai manter o nível incrível que esse atingiu, ou se Mark (como de costume) vai vir com situações extremamente forçadas e vai acabar com o momento mágico que esse 6x03 atingiu.

“Tu…tu…come…come…” Mascarpona non riusciva a distinguere chiaramente la massiccia figura che si ergeva dinanzi a lei:”
Io…io…e io…sei solo una piccola latteria ambulante! Muori! Muori! Muori!” La figura continuò a colpirla alla testa ripetutamente.
Lasciò cadere il mattarello insanguinato, spense il fuoco del ragù, prese la pentola che ancora bolliva, cercò velocemente tra i mobili della cucina e trovò un contenitore per alimenti, vi versò all’interno il ragù ancora caldo e richiuse il tutto.
“Oggi ragù!”

“Aragoste! Totani! Alici belle…alici fresche!...Venite…prezzo speciale!” Filiberta gestiva da anni con successo il banco del pesce della vicina piazzetta della misericordia, lei e il marito Ubaldo sembravano molto affiatati, lui pescava all’alba ciò che lei vendeva brillantemente durante tutto il giorno.
Mentre era intenta a raccogliere delle alici, Filiberta vide arrivare con urgenza una donna ancora in vestaglia da notte sgualcita.
“Devi venire subito…è successa una tragedia…Mascarpona…è morta…stecchita…abbattuta come un uccello…!”
“Ma che dici? Tu poi per le tragedie meglio di Alda d’Eusanio! Ma chi la uccide a quella!”
“E invece ti dico che è morta…l’hanno ammazzata con il mattarello!”
La donna piangeva a dirotto e singhiozzava convulsamente.
“Madò mò mi fai preoccupare veramente…Lacrimo’ ma sei sicura?”
“Ti dico di si…vieni andiamo… è pieno di Carabinieri!” Filiberta lasciò all’istante il banco e sottobraccio con Lacrimogena corse verso la casa di Mascarpona.
Già nell’avvicinarsi al cortile, le due donne trovarono gente ferma e sparsa nei dintorni e macchine dei Carabinieri e un’ambulanza che stava trasportando una lettiga con un corpo coperto da una cerata nera.
Filiberta si fece largo e si avvicinò, abbassò la cerata e venne colta da un sussulto:”
Oddio poveretta…ieri aveva fatto la permanente! Ma chi l’ha ridotta cosi?!”
Lacrimogena continuava a singhiozzare e piangere aggrappandosi a Filiberta che intanto cercava di farsi largo tra la folla per  entrare all’interno della casa.
Dalla casa proveniva un odore di ragù che metteva appetito.
“Era sempre una gran cuoca! Guarda qua quanto ben di Dio!”
“Scusate ma qua non potete stare…rischiate di rovinare delle prove! Voi la conoscevate la signora?” Uno dei giovani Carabinieri si avvicinò alle due donne con un blocchetto.
“Si eravamo amiche…facevamo la spesa insieme…raccoglievamo i punti del latte insieme…facevamo tutto insieme insomma…vero Lacrimò?” Ma Lacrimogena singhiozzava ininterrottamente.
“Non ci fate caso…questa è cosi…piange peggio di Brooke in Beautiful!...E’ sensibile!”

Il Carabinieri le accompagnò fuori mentre tra la folla uno sguardo le osservava attentamente, sembrava conoscere le due donne.

In città il parrucchiere Furibondo Calmato stava piastrando i capelli ad una cliente, il negozio era molto frequentato e conosciuto: “Capello Pazzo” era il coiffeur più ambito della zona.
“Allora Cris…ti piacciono cosi…più lisci…secondo me ti tolgono almeno dieci anni…ti devo fare pure le mesc?”
“Le mesc le fai a tua sorella in mezza alle gambe!...Basta che spilli soldi tu!...Vanno bene cosi!”
Crisantema era odiata praticamente da tutti o quasi, perfino la terra dove camminava se avesse potuta l’avrebbe risucchiata come un enorme buco nero: dispotica, sboccata, scostumata anche se era una bella donna, sempre ben truccata, ben pettinata e ben vestita, peccato che quando apriva bocca pure le pietre si vergognavano per lei.
“Povera Mascarpona…morire in quel modo in casa sua…io non lo so…qua manco in casa propria si sta al sicuro…bò!” Furibondo posò la piastra e con le mani dava gli ultimi ritocchi al suo lavoro.
“Eh già…ma quella slavata non si faceva mai i cazzi suoi…conosceva sempre vita, morte, miracoli, resurrezioni, imbalsamazioni, indiscrezioni, indecisioni, dubbi, incertezze, paure, ossessioni, fobie, stronzate, ambivalenze…chella troia…se la teneva conservata per i vermi!”
Furibondo intimamente disgustato da Crisantema subito le diede il conto, lei si alzò, prese la borsetta di camoscio e il portafogli di pelle di rinoceronte.
“Sei proprio un mafioso autorizzato lo sai? Ottocento euro per uno shampoo e una messinpiega non ti sembra eccessivo piccolo frociazzo dei tombini?!”
“E tu sei sempre la solita tirata come Alba Parietti…ma se ti ho fatto pure lo sconto comitiva?!”
Crisantema gli firmò l’assegno velocemente e lasciò il negozio.

Entrando nella sua Fiat 127, Crisantema rovistò nella borsetta e cercò qualcosa al suo interno, notò un guanto macchiato di sangue, si guardò intorno, mise in moto e partì ad elevata velocità, circa 20 all’ora.
