Honestly, this programme is killing me, we're only two episodes in and a part of me has allready died inside.

The reason being is because i actually find myself enjoying the auditions. How can that be, surely the only people that enjoy the X-Factor are teenage girls and daily mail, express and sun readers.

Its the realization that whilst i view the mental contestants singing away my mind triggers to the fact that the above mentioned persons are watching the same programme. And lo and behold the odd time laughing at the same things they're probably laughing at.

I'm not being funny but as soon as the auditions are over i am not interested, it is only the utterly shit people i take pleasure in silently saying delusioned wanker to my self lots of times throughout the hour installment.

To be honest as soon as the 10 or however many people they select for the live shows are chosen. You know the top 3 are a forgon conclusion. You simply apply these filters

• Remove everyone over 25 perhaps 30 years old. (7 Remain)
• Remove everyone remotely unnatractive (5 Remain)

You are now left with, Good looking Boys who can sing and can't.

Good looking girls who can or can't sing.

Good looking groups who can can't sing.

• Now remove the girl who cannot sing ( 4 Acts Remain)

• Now remove the groups (3 possibly 2 acts remain)

You are now left with Lion (or whoever he was called) a male who can't really sing compared to the really good male or female singer, but somehow every girl in britain votes for as soon as the lines are open.

My sister is a perfect stereotype of this, coming out with incredible phrases like "He's really good actually" her fake expression only topped by me walking straight faced out of the room.

You see my sisters clever, she knows that the singer is bad, but her companions at school usher her into thinking the wrong.

Park Jin Young has been kept really busy these couple of months with producing single for the Wonder Girls and the grooming of his proteges from Mnet “Hot Blood” documentary program. 4 members from that program have already debuted as 2AM, a singing subgroup under 2 O’Clock on 11th July on Music Bank. The other 7 members will soon debut as 2PM that specialises in rapping and dancing in an official statement and pictures released today.

This will be Park Jin Young’s first boy band in 10 years after G.O.D. After grooming G.O.D, Rain and Wonder Girls in recent times, JYP expressed, “2PM is a group that I have invested my pride in. Since they entered JYP Entertainment, I kept telling them that they have to be different from existing boy bands. Otherwise, don’t even think of debuting. All went through different kinds of training these past few years and I believe they will break the stereotype that one usually associates with boy bands once they debut.

2PM official album release is set for 4th September.

When I was in high school I couldn't write well, and of course all I did was write N Sync fan fiction. If you read Nsync fan fiction then you know the basic Nsync fan fic archetype:
Jc is a crack addict,
Joey is a fat man whore obsessed with superman,
Justin is obsessed with himself and naive,
Lance (ironically) is very metro and his sexuality in question,
and Chris is the retarded oldest member.

All members get into some strange situation with the writer and her two to four best friends resulting in the complete sexual harassing of JC, tying Justin up to a chair, and forgetting about the three other members who composed Nsync. Oh wait, maybe that was just my fan fiction. Anyways, Cursed be the day when Nsync Fan fic was removed. I never really got a chance to say farewell to my boys. So, I thought (since its 4 AM and I'm still not asleep) I'd officially write my last VERY CRAPPY Nsync Fan fiction....

Setting: A lonely day in my apartment, I am unpacking some old boxes, and I come across the old celebrity CD. I blow off the remaining dust, and poof Nsync suddenly appears in my room.

Me: After all these years, Cd tele-transportation still works?

Joey: Yeah, I'm a bit shocked at that...I was hosting the singing be, and poof here I am.

Justin: I guess you've got the one copy that cd transportation works on.

Chris: Maybe she's a witch, an obsessed fan witch.

Me: I think you guys pop up every time I touch the celebrity album. Blame your album its magical.

Lance: Really? We released an album so powerful it was magical?

JC: We were an awesome group. I don't doubt we released a magical cd.

Justin: Wait a minute...we're missing something very important

Everyone in the room: What?

Justin: Dar, lover of all that is Nsync, one of our most dedicated fan fic writers that never made me randomly hook up with Lance or snort lines with JC--

Me: You're too much of a front man to be pushed off with that riff-raff. I give those career damaging scenes to Chris.

Chris: (says muttering to himself) I'm the most un-loved member of N Sync.

Me: Yeah you're pretty much as un-loved as JC's solo career

Justin: ANYWAYS...Dar, you mean to tell me you haven't picked up our Celebrity CD in 7 years.

Me: Yeah, well no. You boys went on hiatus and then boy bands went out of style.

JC: We were never a boy-band. I can't believe you've forgotten.

Me: Forgotten What?

Lance: OMG, she has forgotten.

Me: Forgotten What?

Joey: Dar, come on, please remember...

Me: I don't know what you boys are getting at. Spit it out.

JC: We have never been a boy band, we have always been a Legendary VOCAL GROUP.

Me: Oh yeah...that used to be important, back when I didn't have a life.

Chris: What are you talking about? You had a life back then, and it consisted of your imagination and all 5 of us 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.

Justin: You swore to us...Pinky swore that you'd never forget to listen to our cd daily.

Me: Yeah, well, things happened. Nancy died her hair, I went to college, and britney spears got fat. 

Justin: Thats understandable...I did a solo career

Lance: I came out of the closet.

Joey: I host game shows.

Jc: I'm a judge on a dance show.

Chris: I became an alcoholic, and did reality tv.

Me: Chris, you always were an underachiever. Do me a favor and when you transport back try to host a game show or come out of the closet or something.

::A long awkward moment passes, as nsync and I just stare at each other.

Justin: So, at what point during this fan fic are you going to tie us up, and turn Lance into a cow.

Me: Honestly, I hadn't really planned on tying you up. Although, you are still ab-a-licious Justin, I just don't have that urge to keep you hostage

JC: My god woman you've changed!!!!

Me: I see you're just as over dramatic. You still doing crack?

JC: No, I've cleaned my ways. Crack is Whack.

Me: Okay Whitney Houston...I think its time for ya'll to go.

::Justin looks around my room::

Justin: You have no posters of us hanging.  What the hell is wrong with you?

Chris: Wait you're telling US to leave.

Me: Yeah

JC: Usually we have to use our stunning talent to somehow distract you enough so we can escape.

Justin: This time I brought a little pocket knife to cut through the rope.

Me: I'm sorry. Goodbye guys.

Lance: Oh no you don't!!! We're not leaving! 

Jc: Yeah we're not going anywhere until you tie us up, and act insane.

Me: That time has passed.

Lance: To hell it has! 

Me: Boys, I can't just tie you guys up in the middle of my apartment, and refuse to feed Lance like I used to. I've got responsibilities.

Justin: Come on....please...you used to be our stalker, and we used to be your obsession. Just one more tie down for old times sake. Please!!!

::Justin gives me puppy dog eyes::

Me: Ok, fine, boys go into the living room, and I'll find some rope.

::Nsync goes into my living room, and I find rope in my old box. I tie each of there hands together the same way I used to::

Justin: I missed this, you know, being captured.

JC:Where's your psychotic friend...Debbie, I think her name was.

Me: She's back in my hometown, haven't seen her in years

Jc: That girl knew how to tie a knot.

Me: Yes, she's pretty useful. She's got a boyfriend now.

JC: I'm no longer the love of her life

Chris: Now you know how it feels not to be the center of attention

Lance: Yeah that's right, although, you used to sing lead, you're nothing more than back up in her life.

(The door unlocks and I look around nervously when my roommate, Taylor enters, and looks shocked staring at Nsync with a grin)

Taylor: Heeeeyyy

Justin: Finally, someone still appreciates our greatness as a fivesome.

:: Taylor crosses the room and whispers to me::

Taylor: Dar do you know you have a has-been boy band tied up in our living room?

::Justin being the closest hears Taylor::

Justin: We are not has-beens! We are legends! N Sync forever!!!

Me: They wanted to be tied up. 

Taylor: I knew the day would come when you'd completely loose your mind--

Me: They wanted to be tied down, and besides whose going to miss them? Can't we hold them hostage for a few days?

Taylor: Someone is going to miss Justin, he brought sexy back remember?"

Justin: Hell yeah I did.

Me: He didn't really bring it back. Sexy never left. I mean Thomas Jane and Brad Pitt and Hot Joggers.

Taylor: Dar, don't get distracted on me. You have to untie them.

::Justin struggles his way out::

Justin: I've cut myself free

::I roll my eyes::

Me: (sarcastically) Damn...that was my last thing of rope. I guess you all can hope back on the cd and live your has-been lives.

::JC gives me a pointed look::

Me: (sarcastically) Oh yeah...you will be mine some day...Your brilliant vocal group. Don't ever forget I shalt have you.

Jc: That's better...

Justin: We'll be transporting through the cd just so you don't forget us.

::The boys step on there cd and transport away one at a time::

Taylor: You never told me you were friends with N Sync?

Me: I always thought they didn't like me kidnapping them. Now, I guess they miss it.

As I was dressing for work on the morning of August 9, I heard one of the anchors on “Good Morning America” tout the band that was about to perform on the program as being “the new Beatles.” Of course, this got my attention, since comparing someone to the Beatles surely means the music is catchy and original and something truly special. This had to be big.

My eyes glued to the television, I saw the Jonas Brothers take the stage. I was quite surprised to see three geeky little boys with big coifs that reminded me instantly of the New Kids on the Block, which was the boy band du jour when I was a pre-teen. They began singing their new hit, “Burnin’ Up.” The little lead singer, Joe, was a caricature of teenage desperation and earnestness as he threw his all into each note that sounded like it would finally make his voice change. There were even the “ah”s at the end of every phrase, that quick, Michael Jackson-like exhale that one often associates with karaoke singers and “American Idol” contestants. The tune was catchy, I’ll give them that. Still, the song and the band appeared to be nothing more than pop fluff at best, so how can they be compared to a rock and roll legend like the Beatles? Are the teenie boppers of today really so starved for real music that they will go screamingly insane for this boy-band-dresses-up-as-a-real-band group? They do write their own music, which is more than other boy bands can say, but still-- the Beatles? I think not.

Let us compare the Jonas Brothers to the Beatles.

Screaming Girls.
There is no shortage of screaming girls for the Jonas Brothers, that much can be said. Everyone is familiar with the term “Beatlemania,” which described the phenomenon of the frenzied, hysterical state of the legions of female Beatles fans. Apparently, the Jonas Brothers are experiencing a similar phenomenon. In his Rolling Stone article “The Clean Teen Machine,” writer Jason Gay describes the mood of the thousands of pre-teen girls who flocked at a Jonas Brothers concert as being “primal.” He also describes some young girls he encountered as crying and sobbing and having somehow convinced their parents to drive them across the country for this show.

Youth.
The Jonas Brothers are just kids, with Kevin at the ripe old age of 20, Nick at 15 and Joe at 20. Similarly, the Beatles were young whippersnappers when they began their musical odyssey, as well. The first Beatles single, “Love Me Do,” was was written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney while they were playing hookey from school in 1958. Paul was 15 and John was 17. George Harrison was 13 when he, Paul and John formed their first band, the Quarry Men. Ringo Starr was 22 years old when he joined what became the Beatles in 1962.

Style.
The Jonas Brothers have a rather mod sense of style, though they still look like geeky teens. I’m sure you can spot pimples if you get up close to one of them. The same can be said about the Beatles in 1963, although the Beatles became fashion trendsetters, whereas the Jonas Brothers do have their own style, but rather something thrown together by a stylist which is something we've seen before by the likes of… you guessed it: the Beatles.

Record Sales.
The Jonas Brothers have seen a number one hit, two number one hits on iTunes, over 12 million television viewers of their reality program, and their debut album went platinum. This is pretty good but is nothing compared to the numbers following the 1963 release of the Beatles’ debut album. The Beatles held twelve positions on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, including the top five positions, which has never been accomplished by any other band or artist since. Also in 1964, the Beatles had sold 15 million records in the US, alone.

The Music.
Rolling Stone described the Beatles as being “…the self-contained rock band, writing their own hits and playing their own instruments." This is sort of true about the Jonas Brothers. They write their own lyrics, but they also have back-up musicians to help them because of their lack of proficiency on their instruments.

I reticently admit that the Jonas Brothers’ new single, “Burnin’ Up,” is a catchy little ditty. I have found myself singing the song in my head on several occasions now. Get out of my head, you prepubescent scoundrels! Being catchy really is all their music seems to have going for it, though. There is nothing new or fresh about their sound, which is actually a regurgitation of every other boy band that sprouts up every decade. Can we say this about the Beatles? No. Their sound was something different and new. Their music was based on the rock and roll that was so popular in the 1950s, but they also combined elements of country & western, skiffle, and they later recorded some psychedelic songs, which was a brand new genre of the 60s.

Also, the Beatles created music that was the epitome of its time, but it was also timeless in its innovativeness. Many people still listen to the Beatles today, even people like myself who didn’t even exist in the 1960s. I think I can safely say that the Jonas Brothers will not have that staying power due to their lack of originality. After all, are we still listening to the Back Street Boys? Did the New Kids on the Block write a song that will be socially and musically relevant until the end of time? I don’t think so.

It might be fun for you, dear reader, to follow the same route I did in my comparison and analysis of the Jonas Brothers and the Beatles. If you are so inclined, do take a gander at the Beatles performing their first single, ““Love Me Do.”” You may digress a little by also viewing my favorite Beatles song, ““I Saw Her Standing There.””

After that comparison, it is clear that the correct comparison is not of the Jonas Brothers to the Beatles, but of the Jonas Brothers to the New Kids on the Block. See HERE. They were wildly popular for a few years, too, and they had thousands of screaming girls after them just like the Jonas Brothers. I was one of them. I even had ripped out Tiger Beat pages featuring Jordan Knight wallpapering my bedroom.

As SMASH debuted, DNT came right behind them! Haha. I wonder how the fan girls are!

Anyway, DNT (Dragon N Tiger), the new 4-membered dance/ballad boyband, made its debut on Aug. 12 and released their MV on Aug. 14. They are from Orange Entertainment and are labeled to be very provacative group presenting a fusion of dance and ballad - Is that gonna be a problem?

Let's see what they can do with their new title "Two People and Thereafter".

Anyways, there's a new boyband named... Smash? It seems that they are very talented and are very good-looking! ^^. They are from TN Entertainment.

he 6 members, Sae Gae, Chun Woo, Han Bang, Jerry, Hiro and Naruro also composers and lyricist. Wow what talent! ^_^. Two steps ahead of SHINee!

Smash will debut on Mnet M Countdown on the 14th (later today in Korea) and their first mini-album and MV will be released on the 19th.

I can't wait to see what they have! I hope they can blow me away!

Rich Cronin of LFO bailed on a headlining gig this weekend claiming he was sick -- but it may be a load of crap!

My source was told Cronin threw a fit after it was reported how much scratch he was making for the show -- and that may be why he canceled. An official statement from Cronin -- who's a cancer survivor -- claims "Rich's health issues prevent him from being able to participate ... there is no situation which could be presented which would even remotely mitigate the physical risk posed by his participation."

But then my source was told something completely different ...

Rich's people were contacted by the peeps @ TMZ to check his schedule for the month, they were told he was "booked all of August shooting videos" and wouldn't be available until September. Shortly after, Cronin's people called back to say he wouldn't be available till October, "due to medical issues." All three statements were issued by the same person.

Instead of canceling the fest after Cronin's bow out -- Jeff Timmons of 98° and the organizers decided to make it a free concert to save the show.

I'm just surprised he is still getting work! You better take what you can get Rich!

Il Divo

With their boyish charm and impenetrable attack to a new flavour of BOY-BAND pop. These guys can be at the top if given the chance. Their debut single titled "Last Goodbye" starts with a dance sample mix then incorporated with slow and electropop jams until the end which was at least convincing. The boy's attitude towards performing is quite impressing and i'm pretty sure that LOTS of girls will fall in line just to get a glimpse of them while performing a showcase. 

The boys are now signed on ISLAND RECORDS UK recording label and they immediately started working to produce new music. Their single "Last Goodbye" will be released on September 8, 2008 in the UK. "Last Goodbye" provides us with a catchy, danceable anthem that'll make an impression to the new age of Boy Band exports from the UK.

WORCESTER— Walking into Clark University’s Atwood Hall was like going through a time machine yesterday as 500 people with 1980s-style big hair and high-waisted Jordache jeans took part in the film “We Got the Beat.”

It’s the latest production by the dynamic duo of Jon Artigo and Andrea Ajemian, who made “Rutland, USA,” “Freedom Park” and the soon-to-be-released teen drama “Still Green.” Atwood Hall was the setting for “The Talent Show,” at which the lead character transitions from the hot-shot, high school quarterback to the leader of the “first-ever” boy band in 1982

There's seems to be an ongoing trend of boy bands and girl groups these days, but major label companies are striving to create the 'ultimate group.'

The new idol group, Smash, consists of 6 members; Sae Gae World, Chun Woo CheonWoo, HanBang, Jerry, Hiro Hero, and Naruro Naru. TN Entertainment(Tony An's label) speaks out and says the the boys are not only talented in one area but all things music-related.

Their single 'Emergency' was been not praised but not ignored. It's only okay. Too many boy bands, too many faces to keep up with. I don't even know the names of the last 3 groups that came out.

So far, the dark outfits and rocker anthems has already been done by H.O.T., Shinhwa, SS501, DBSK, etc. This new boy band doesn't seem to offer anything spectacular but they don't suck either. So I guess in the meantime, we'll see what will happen.

Krystal Meyers' PR management has not responded to media claims, and Jeremy Shum was under cover as the controversial stars, who has been linked with the likes of Corey Worthington (also known as Corey Delaney), for his well known teenage rudeness, received death threats.

The star, who has publicly stated that he is Christian, couldn't be reached for media comment, but is seemingly sticking with the inherently "bad boy" image product placement.
