I read in the Eurogames 2008 website that beds are needed so you can offer a bed. This makes me

realise how many situations may happen during these Eurogames. Who knows, maybe it is a good time to engage with a German guy and to get married ... Anyway, GAY.CAT was just thinking that it may act as a reporter during this Eurogames! I have to confess that I am sad that such an event is taking in Barcelona and a website with a name like GAY.CAT has not a say in all this.

It will be funny. Maybe the whole Barcelona will seem as Gaixample. And what about Gaixample? I imagine all bars and saunas will be also full. And even the church of Sagrada Familia will be full of gay sportsmen. Or Park Güell. Will the police have a special plan in order to ensure security?

Maybe GAY.CAT could try to capture what happens for posterity.

It's Called a Breakup Because It's Broken

I'm so in the mood to take a nap today. You know when you slide into bed and get the gushy, yummy feeling? That's what I want. To feel the coolness of the sheets, to have the light of the day peeking through the blinds, to snuggle up and just drift away. I have a half day at the first job today, so I think that's what I'm going to do before I have to make my way to the second job.

I was reading Sundry's entry from a couple days ago and she was talking about how she produces these amazing blog entries in her head and when she sits down to write, the magic dissipates. That's how I feel sometimes. When I'm sitting in the car or when I'm watching tv, I think up these great blogs that just flow and slide across the page, but when I actually have time to sit down and write, I'm at a loss for words. I used to carry a pad and paper whereever I went, but I haven't done that in, at least, six or seven years. The only problem with me writing things down is that then it's not taking up space in my head and I forget about it or I move on to something else.

Ok, I have a lot more to write, but I'm way too tired and I need to finish what I'm doing before I leave work today.

Oh, I did want to talk about the conversation I had with A. (the ex) the other day. He called me last Saturday, but I was out, so I called him back on Sunday night and we talked for 45 minutes or so. It was one of the best conversations I've had in a long time. It felt like old times. We laughed and we joked and talked about music and what we've been up to lately. I didn't mention his girlfriend/fiancee and neither did he. I wanted to, but I didn't want to ruin the magic. And that's what makes me ashamed. That I held onto my question so that I could trick myself into believing, if only for a moment, that there was hope. When will it ever end? When will I rid my mind of him? I've gone out with several people since we broke up (in 2005), but somehow, my mind always goes back to him. I've read book after book, including He's Just Not That Into You and It's Called a Breakup Because It's Broken, but even with their sly comments and can-do attitude, it hasn't worked. What do I have to do? How can I cleanse myself of this man?

I. Am. Alive.

haha. :) Turns out surgery isn't too bad after all. In fact, I barely remember anything. Let's see...I remember waking up and I felt fine the morning of (before taking the valium in fact). Cool, calm, and collected was I. Once that medicine was in me though, I got pretty loopy. I remember I kept trying not to laugh, what I was trying not to laugh at I don't remember, but I remember trying not to. At one point, we had just gotten in the doctor's office, and I started smiling, leading up to laughing, and I remember holding it in like crazy. I tend to be a reserved person when around people I don't know; not that I'm not friendly or anything, for surely I am, but I'm just more reserved. And what is more reserved than someone laughing their head off at nothing, eh?

I remember them hooking me up to all sorts of clamps, blood pressure machine, and an IV. Then the cute anethesialogist started putting in three different meds and I was gone. Supposedly the doctor could tell I don't drink because he said it didn't take much of the medicine to knock me out, whereas the more you drink the more meds you need. So that was pretty cool. AND according to my mother, I didn't say anything embarassing or nothing!! SCORE points for me!! :D I was so worried about saying something foolish. But no, mom said I was actually really quiet and barely said a thing-the entire time I was there, before or after the surgery.

I've slept so much the past 3 days its insane. Thankfully, the meds knock you out like crazy, so it doesn't make it hard to fall asleep or anything. One thing I'm not too fond of is that my one cheek is still swollen. It really didn't swell up that bad on Tuesday, but by Wednesday it was horrid!!! And its slowly going back down. Yea for icepacks I guess. I've also eaten sooo much the past 3 days. Its crazy. As swollen as my cheeks have gotten, it really hasn't hurt all that bad. To the point that I've been eating Dibbs icecream, pizza slices, soups, fruit cups, chicken & rice, and more. But of course I've been doing the salt water rinse like crazy after everything, cuz there is NO WAY I want an infection. No thank you-not me!!!

I'm so EXTREMELY excited!!! Tomorrow my best friend and I are going to see The Dark Knight. :D =D :D =D This just proves how much she loves me cuz she HATES going to watch movies in crowded theaters (and we all know how crowded this movie is going to be) and she dislikes going to movies in theaters in general. Whereas I would have LOVED to have been able to make the midnight showing, and had I been up there in Raleigh, I would have most definetely have gone w. my friends. Oh well. I can wait a few more hours for the greatness that is The Dark Knight.

While brushing my teeth, I think some of my stiches came out. I'm not exactly sure if this is a good thing or not...but oh well. I go in for my checkup on Monday. I guess they will tell me then.

I've started reading the book In A Pit With A Lion On A Snowy Day by Matt Batterson. I really like it so far. The man can hook-line-and-sink when it comes to writing. This is like my second ever non-fiction christian book, the first being Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis, of which I am currently reading as well. I'm branching out. Go me.

Ok. Scrubs is on, and I really should go to bed soon. After I play some guitar of course. I've finally written a song on the guitar. No lyrics or anything, just the tune-and its kind of mournful, although I'm not sure why. But its really pretty sounding (in my opinion).

Who knew that shooting photography for only six months would take me from NYC to Miami. I have shot a number of parties, concerts and fashion shows. My favorite shoots have been with TaraInk for a Miami fashion show at B.E.D and pretty much any nightclub in NYC. The thing I love most about taking photos is telling a story...when you see a good series of photos you put together in your mind what happened.

No Go

So the big girl bed was a big fat no go. She slept in it until about 1 woke up and screamed for about the next hour. It was HELL!! Big Daddy and I couldn't figure out what was wrong with her. She finally fell back asleep in our bed. She woke up this morning like nothing ever happened. She was our normal all smiles and giggles baby.

On another note I got a new dryer today. Yay!! It no longer takes my 5 hours to dry one load of laundry. It's the small things that make me happy.

Oh, also today Big Daddy and I found our dream house. We have been drooling over this house for about 2 months now and we finally set up an appt. to view it. Oh my gosh it is so freaking perfect. It is also so freaking expensive. If I was done with nursing school we would have put an offer on it right then and there. I am going to hope that it doesn't sell before I get finished with school and get a job.

Anyway, I may be blogging more in the next few days... I have been stuck in bed for the most part all week. While it sucks that baldguy lost his job and our unemployment rate here is pretty miserable, it was good timing as he is keeping after boyo and fetching me provisions.

Something is very wrong in my back and I am trying to figure it out...
I had a big bad emergency spine surgery 12 years ago and the pain is near there.... I fear another infection or that perhaps the vertebrae are finally squashing some nerve... Anyway. It really freaking hurts.

But, I can stand still and type and I feel ok, for the most part....And I'm not a wuss. I have had pain every day for 12 years. But dull, achy pain is one thing, feeling like someone is chiseling into your spine and ribs (on just one side, thankfully) is another.

So here I am...

Had an hour and 15 minute long MRI this morning but won't know anything until they decide to call me. Medicine is so lax down here it's ridiculous, so I'm not holding my breath for an answer. When I had the parathyroid tumor two years ago the docs suggested we use a "wait and see" approach. I wound up doing a boat load of research and demanded the scan to see what was going on and then I found my own surgeon to schedule the surgery(Dr. Norman's Parathyroid Clinic in Tampa- amazing surgeon...). Wait and see. Those things don't just disappear- they are there and they cause problems until they are removed or you die from the freaking side effects (heart issues, digestive issues, liver issues...yikes!)... So I'm none too confident about my medical care here...If whatever this weird back thing is needs anything more invasive than an alcohol swab I'm heading north for a spell. If this is another bone infection, I'm worried. Last time they didn't find it until I was in ICU, on all sorts of apparatus, in a coma. No more comas for me, thank you very much. One was more than enough! I have to be here for my little guy.

Anyway. Here I am....Trying to stay as still as possible while my brain wants to run around doing a happy dance because the new issue of BUST magazine is coming out next week and woohoo! one of my pieces is in the Etsy co-op ad. Yay! So buy a copy and check out all of the shops.

Ok. Going to grab some tea and go be as still as a rock in front of the TV.

Sorry for the kvetching. I'm in a good mood really I am!

I always try to think of modern furniture as an oasis in the desert. Like if you have worked that menacing 9 to 5 works, all the stress and pressure tires you, you go home eat a nice dinner watch a little TV or read a good book the next thing you want to do is to climb into your bedroom and take that good sleep. Of course you would want the best bed for yourself. Yes, that is exactly my point. The thing is everyone needs that. What’s the Difference between Contemporary and Modern Furniture

So everybody is thinking what does the modern furniture genre brings? It is well known that there is a lot of modern contemporary furniture available today as well as loads of information form both off line and online resources to give you a first hand info about them. It seems that home owners are having abundant information to help them to effectively choose the ideal modern contemporary furniture. But unfortunately, as there are some misunderstandings about what contemporary furniture means. Many people still think that contemporary furniture refers to the words “Modern Furniture”. Actually this perception is actually true but just some part of it. The terms contemporary means to something that could be used in modern and old time fashion. Something sort of a combo or dual use, in other words it fits in any style.

Well with that being said I should start. If we talk about contemporary furniture, we usually talk about the furniture that can represents and be used with any kind of environment, no matter they are modern style or old fashion style. That is the only basis on the stuff which is considered in my opinion.

Furthermore, I think that difference or no difference the contemporary and modern furniture has given way to make the whole furniture genre improve. I think that giving the basis of the contrary of separating the two but I think that one of the things to consider is any of the two will do for sure. Modern or contemporary is a good way to make it to the furniture market. I think that the better things to consider in modern furniture are the things that people can always make it big. I think the modern furniture class is exclusively for modern as well.
