Amazingly patient wife of Homer Simpson and was once a good police officer in Springfield.Her most noticeable feature is her blue hair, styled like a big long beehive.Her attitude portrays portrayed as naive but optimistic,and an excellent cook.She puts up with a lot from her family.

Bartholomew "Bart" J. Simpson, the eldest among the children of Homer and Marge Simpson. He is voiced by Nancy Cartwright. Hi is rebellious,disrespectful for authority but with a sharp wit. Although he usually gets into lots of troubles and can be sadistic and selfish, Bart also exhibits many qualities of high integrity. Bart's character proves to be one of the most well-known characters in the history of American television animation.

Lisa Marie Simpson, middle child of Homer and Marge Simpson. Lisa is very intelligent 8 year old girl and became the Student Council President, one of the most intelligent characters on the show. She loves to play saxophone and a truly vegetarian. Her too much intellectual capability can be not-so-right" sometimes" but she is loyal to her family.

Margaret "Maggie" Simpson, the youngest of the five main family members and is often times seen as a baby . But at the early age, she is a keen observer. Aware of her surrounding's. And there are some scenes where she has stepped in to save her family's life.

The Simpson's became part of our childhood and as we grow old we still loved to watch them.Years passed by but still "The Simpson's" is aired world wide.Only minimal physical changes occurs just as what they look and they did decades ago.Awarded many times for best television series and longest running TV show series of all time.

Sicuramente "I Simpson" sono uno dei cartoni animati più amati e seguiti in assoluto. Ma nell'ultimo periodo per la serie non è proprio tutto rose e fiori.

Infatti l'indice di gradimento stà scendendo anche se i termini di ascolto sono altissimi.

Come saprete tra i protagonisti indiscussi della serie c'è la mamma dai capelli più lunghi e blu della tv: Marge; ma che forse, tra i protagonisti, è la meno amata.

E forse è proprio questo il motivo che, nella puntata finale della ventesima serie, Marge morirà.

Questa notizia stà impazzando sul web negli ultimi giorni e per i più è una notizia triste...

Perchè Marge morirà? Per dare quella scossa, un pò di adrenalina al cartone che nell'ultimo periodo non ha.

Siamo curiosi, un pò tutti, di sapere il modo in cui Marge morirà e cosa succederà dopo la sua morte.

Homer troverà una nuova compagna? Groening e soci decideranno di far crescere Maggie, Bart e Lisa, che hanno sempre la stessa età da ormai vent’anni? Ma soprattutto... riuscirà questa morte a "ricatturare" un pò di pubblico???

Nancy Cartwright, the voice of Bart on “The Simpsons,” has recorded three public service announcements (PSAs) for Teen Read Week™ 2008, set for Oct. 12-18 in libraries across the country. The theme is Books with Bite @ your library. To read more about the program and have a listen, click here.

Teen Read Week is a national literacy initiative sponsored baimed at the oft-neglected segment of the reading population, teens. But the annual awareness program, which began in 1998 and is sponsored by the American Library Association and numerous partners, also targets teens' parents, librarians, educators, booksellers and other concerned adults. The purpose of the event is to increase the number of teens who are regular readers and library users.

Nancy Cartwright is an Emmy Award–winning actress whose unmistakable voice has appeared on a number of hit TV shows, but she is best known for playing Bart on the long-running Fox series, “The Simpsons.” She has also narrated a number of audiobooks, including her autobiography "My Life as a Ten-Year-Old Boy"; “Stink,” a series of audiobooks for young people by Megan McDonald; and “If I Were You,” a story by L. Ron Hubbard.

About one month ago I received an invitation to attend a one-day, special event on Saturday, September 13 in Springfield, Illinois. It is called "Blaze Your Own Trail in Illinois - Blogger Meet Up". The event is sponsored by the Illinois Bureau of Tourism and has been organized by Edelman Digital out of Chicago.

Well, today is the day I fly down to Chicago and then drive the additional 3-1/2 hours south to Springfield. It's my first trip to Springfield so I am really pumped about it.

Most people think of Bart Simpson when they hear about Springfield. And although the show has a running gag about what state Springfield is actually in, I can assure you that I'm headed to Springfield, ILLINOIS, the Land of Lincoln.

Abraham Lincoln lived in Springfield for many years, marrying and raising his family, practicing law, serving in the Illinois House of Representatives and eventually, running his campaign for President of the United States. So for me, this is the place to be right now.

The event has been nicely organized with the morning being dedicated with a visit to the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum (ALPLM). I am really looking forward to spending some time here.

As some of you may know, I am a Senior Project Manager in the business of planning and building exhibits for museums, corporate environments and touring events. I spend a great amount of time in museums, 90% of them usually under construction when I am involved. So it is always a pleasure for me to just enjoy the artifacts and content of the finished exhibits without worrying about the showcases, the climate control systems, the audio visual and multimedia presentations, the graphics, the artifact mounts, the shipping and installation, etc.

There is an incredible infrastructure that goes into building a museum and I absolutely love the process. What you finally see as a visitor to one of these places, probably took several years to plan and execute. Be proud of the museums in your towns or cities. They are works of love and the people who bring them to you really know their stuff.

OK, enough preaching about how wonderful history and museums are (BUT THEY ARE!!!!). Let me get back to my trip to Springfield.

Mr. Thomas Schwartz, the Illinois State Historian, will be giving opening remarks at the ALPLM. I have had the opportunity to correspond with Mr. Schwartz recently and look forward to meeting him and discussing some topics of personal interest to me. Look for some of these discussions in later postings here. Stay tuned.

Anyway, after our visit to the museum, we will have a brief trolley tour of downtown Springfield and then a hosted lunch. Awesome!

The afternoon offers several optional tours. Of course since this is my first time in Springfield, I want to do them all!

Option 1 will allow us to visit Lincoln's Home and the Lincoln Herndon Law Office.

Option 2 will cover the Illinois State Museum and the Dana-Thomas house (designed by Frank Lloyd Wright).

In both options, a visit to the old State Capitol will be possible if time permits.

Option 3 will be a Lincoln History Walk.

"Oh my, oh my, what shall I do, what shall I do!"

Since this is my first time to Springfield, I want to soak up all that I can about Abraham Lincoln and his early history here. So Options 1 and 3 are calling out to me. But I hate to miss out on the visit to the State Museum and the Dana-Thomas House. The old State Capitol building is a must along with my own side trip to Oak Ridge Cemetery to visit Lincoln's Tomb.

That's a full day for sure. After dinner, it is probably an early night for me as I've got to get on the road by 3:00am Sunday morning to get back to Chicago's O'Hare airport to catch my morning flight back home. It's a whirlwind tour but I'm ready to rock.

Upon my return, I will write a full report on this exciting trip. Who knows what other things will happen while I'm there. I look forward to the visit and to meeting all the attendees and our hosts.

Yes, a cartoon.  This cartoon by Tom Toles appeared in the Washington Post  on September 5, 2008.

Five days after the publication of the Toles cartoon, Obama made the following remarks on the policies of John McCain:

"John McCain says he's about change too...So I guess his whole angle is: Watch out, George Bush -- except for economic policy, healthcare policy, tax policy, education policy, foreign policy and Karl Rove-style politics, we're really going to shake things up in Washington."

Obama continued with:  "That's not change.  That's just calling the same thing something different.  But you can put lipstick on a pig, it's still a pig."

Has Mr. Obama ever had an original thought?  Even his book title The Audacity of Hope was plagiarized from Rev. Jeremiah Wright.

Stealing a quote from a cartoon is likewise "not change." 

Obama again diminishes himself and his message, not only by resorting to a time-worn and tattered folksy old porcine bromide, but by stealing words from a cartoonist.  Obama had never even heard of the old "lipstick on a pig" expression until one of his script writers came up with it.

Obama is a creation of other people, not of himself.  There is nothing original or genuine about him.  Take away the styrofoam pillars and there is nothing but an empty stage.    

What next...will Obama now begin stealing his quotes from Bart Simpson, Family Guy or more likely, Porky Pig?

The image makers, publicists and campaign handlers can put all the lipstick they want on Barack Obama, but he is still a ....
