For those of you who enjoyed Helvetica, there is a new movie coming out revolving around the Hamilton Museum in Two Rivers, Wisconsin. (Drew and I are planning on visiting the museum sometime in the Fall - and I can't wait.) The film is called Typeface and it focuses on the disappearing art and trade of setting and printing with wood type. They also did a lot of filming over at Columbia College. Columbia has an impressive wood type collection too! In the past few weeks, having spent some time with the Vandercook presses, I have gained even more appreciation for this fading art and printing process. There is something so comforting in printing with wood type - even in the results and all the imperfections from age and use. In the future, I will be adding some letterpress illustrations and cards - so stay tuned

Delso José da Costa é casado há 19 anos, apis de uma filha, técnico metalúrgico, trabalhou na CBA e na Albras - Vale do Rio Doce em Belém – PA.

É um dos fundadores da Associação dos Amigos dos Bairros Júlio de Mesquita Filho, CDHU Ipatinga, Santa Bárbara e Adjacências. É funcionário público municipal e trabalha na escola Tereza Ciambelli Gianini.

Transporte – Melhoria do atendimento nos bairros; meia passagem para estudante; criar Transporte público municipal; redução de preço em horários de menor utilização ( bilhete inteligente ); criar corredores exclusivo para ônibus.

Meio Ambiente – preservação das mata ciliares, nascentes e mata nativa; incentivo a plantação de árvores na cidade; troca da frota de ônibus por veículos à gás; incentivar o uso do transporte público, e o apoio ao uso da energia alternativa, alem dos outros problemas que são comuns para toda população.

Hay detectores de colisiones muy buenos para bajar y ponerlos en tu juegos. O si eres masoquista puedes hacerte uno.

Resulta que soy masoquista, pero bueno, eso ya lo sabía.

Bueno, empecemos. El detector de colisiones tiene un campo que es una referencia al escenario, con el que comprueba las colisiones. Sinceramente empiezo a pensar que tendria que haber separado totalmente ambas clases.

La función a la que llaman los actores en cada ciclo es "detectar y determinar colisión". Esta función hace lo siguiente:

1. Determina la posición del actor en el ciclo anterior analizando su posicion actual y la velocidad a la que se movió (es un campo del propio actor). Con esto tenemos el movimiento que ha realizado el actor en el ciclo actual.
2. Detectar si hay colisión al final del movimiento
   • Si el desplazamiento que se produjo es más pequeño que el alto y/o ancho del actor, simplemente hay que comprobar si en la posición final hay colisión.
   • Si el desplazamiento es mayor que el tamaño del actor, hay que descomponer el movimiento en varios tramos del tamaño del actor, ir avanzando por ellos, y parar en el primero que haya colisión. Esto se hace asi porque de haber un obstaculo en medio, con el que no se colisiona ni en la posición inicial ni en la final, el obstaculo sería traspasado.
3. Si hubo colisión en el paso anterior se busca la ultima posición en la que no hay colisión y se deja ahi situado al actor.
4. Finalmente se devuelve un vector en el que se indica con que se colisiono, y en que dirección, para que el actor reaccione a la colision como quiera.

Eso es todo lo que hace. Dicho asi por encima parece sencillo, pero por detalles, en los que entrare más adelante, resultó dificil llegar a hacer que funcione bien y de forma sólida.

Viendo la sencillez de esta entrada creo que acabaré haciendo una sección en la que se analice con detalle el comportamiento de los distintos componentes del juego.

When something really gets to me, it can easily turn into an obsession. I’ll think than one thought over and over; 24/7. I’ll worry over one particular thought like a bulldog in a meat shop.

I believe that I became obsessed by fantasies that spun around inside my head like pinwheels on a windy spring day. At times it became difficult to imagine real people, in real situations. I kept repeating images that were real only in my fantasies. Eventually, I realized these fantasies were closing me off from a world of truth.

To break free, I needed take dramatic action with both my psychiatrist and therapist. I attended a weekly group session and found that by talking and sharing with others, I was able to learn from their experiences. I continue to walk a path leads outward into life and away from those spinning wheels of my obsessions. I am learning to live a life away from my mad world of obsessions and I’m reaching out and getting free.

The first and most obvious way to read them is in the order they were originally written, and to my mind, this probably would be the most helpful, though it does mean that one has to deal with the difficult technical material in the Giza Death Star Trilogy right up front. But in any case, for those interested, the order of their publication, from the first book forward until now, is:

9) The Nazi International: The Nazis' Postwar Plan to Control FInance, Conflict, Science, and Space

With the last two books, one of which is at a different publisher than the other books (Feral House), and the other which is being written right now (and will be published again by Adventures Unlimited), there may be a bit of a problem, as the ninth book is likely to be out before the eighth by a few weeks.

The second way to read the books is, of course, topically, in which case one would read The Giza Death Star Trilogy (in their proper order) and then The Cosmic War, or one would read the Nazi-themed books, Reich of the Black Sun, The SS Brotherhood of the Bell, Secrets of the Unified Field, The Philosophers' Stone, and The Nazi International. All of my books are referenced and deliberately desgined to tie into each other, and readers will quicly pick up on this when they read them, so one can read topically if one wishes.

Finally, the third way, of course, is to read them in any order one wishes. This can be done, as each book is also designed to be able to stand on its own even though viewed as part of a larger whole.

And speaking of books, I just received complimentary copies of The Cosmic War in its Polish language edition, and it looks great. My thanks to the people in Warsaw that did such a nice job of cover art, translation, and book layout!
