Corporal Giroro (ギロロ伍長 Giroro-gochō) is the single unit mobile infantry of the Keroro Platoon and the number one sharpshooter of the Keron Army. His blood type is B. He is a red Keronian who has a scar over his left eye. His symbol is a skull which, unlike the other Keronians, is only on his hat. In lieu of a belly symbol, he diagonally straps across his body a belt with a rectangular buckle which contains a picture of Natsumi. The belt is priceless since it serves both as his good luck charm and as a reminder of his friends who died in a Keron War. Without it, he loses most of his mechanical abillities and is utterly inept as a soldier, much less an A-class gun wielder. However as a tadpole, he carried his skull symbol on his hat and belly and was not afflicted with the scar across his face.

Giroro originally hated Natsumi (along with every other Pekoponian), but when he tried to trap/kill her he was defeated, and fell in love with her. As time passed, Natsumi befriended Giroro but is unaware of his affection towards her. If any mission involves Natsumi, he'll approve of it without hesitation. The idea of taking a bath with her is more shocking than the horrors of war. He rescues her several times, even when he's trying to be a good soldier and invade the planet. He blushes madly when she even speaks to him and can frequently be seen having daydreams about her.

Multiple Personalities

During an experiment to bring out the strongest personality from within, Giroro mistakenly sets off the "energy bullet" that was originally meant for Keroro. He split into 7 characters, one for each physical manisfestion of his personality.

Giroppe - The evil Giroro. He is out to invade mercilessly. He is also incredily fast and holds no affection for Natsumi. He raided the Hinata's home and continued the fight with Giroro out onto the street, but was comically defeated by a pizza-delivering Kogoro.

Girorin - The fear-filled Giroro. Eventually, being tired of his cowardly self, he threw his stuffed bear aside and faced his fears head-on by battling Giroppe only to be defeated in one blow.

Girocchi - The housewife-like Giroro. She appeared in Natsumi's room, aptly dressed, serving snacks that were disgustingly inedible and hated, much to his sadness.

Girosama - The happy Giroro. He appeared with a fluffy shag cut, scarf, and yellow tinted sunglasses. He does nothing but smile and laugh.

Giroko - The poetic Giroro. She entered a poet contest on 623's radio station but before the winner was announced, Giroppe blasted through the door, destroying the radio.

Giropon - The loving Giroro. He questioned Mutsumi's intentions towards Natsumi and immediately attacks him, but was quickly defeated.

The multiple personalities are a parody of the series Seven of Seven, where the girl Nana gets into a microwave accident and also gets her best 7 traits released.

Weapons
Giroro wields a large variety of weapons and is known as a renowned guerrilla combatant. Much of the weapons he's been seen using resemble ones that are used by mobile suits of the Gundam franchise, especially the RX-78. He also has a few mechas under his disposal— both flying and large type (one of which is a homage to the RX78GP03 Armed Base Orchis). He can summon any weapon at any given time, which is part of Keron technology. His Giroro Guided Missiles are his trademark in the first movie.

Rudy Gonzalez of CaptainObama.com is an Obama supporter. He said he wanted to create a positive likeness of the candidate. He plans to donate $1 of the $14.99 selling price.

"He's the most popular thing that we're selling right now," Gonzalez said.
The Bay Park resident started taking orders at ComicCon and told NBC 7/39 that he has about 250 pre-orders.

"It's something that we're really proud to carry and we're really excited about and it's just fun," Gonzalez said. "He's a community organizer by day, and he fights crooked businessmen and crooked politicians at night -- so he's always watching over there on Capitol Hill."

I think that's all I got. Oh yeah, left 3 Ultraman mini figures, and 4 Ultraman piggy banks. And yeah, not to mention Ultraman plushie. It was on my bed, and I forgot to put it on the desk for the group photo. I'd love to collect Keroro, but for now, I could only manage to get two of them.

     Since my mating Zoidberg arrived this week I could not wait to try the idea of portraying my own army of Zoidbergs. I have tried various arrangement but they did not work. The main problems were bad lighting and a color setting that produced unnaturally vivid colors. My main attempt was to produce a Warhol-like image, so I was in a rush to photograph and start on the processing. Here is the result:

     All the other photos that I shot at that time were of similar poor quality. I took an opportunity later to re-shoot and correct some of the mistakes. The results were slightly better but still not completely satisfactory. I could not repeat the same quality as I had with Zapp and Kif figures. The light was similarly diffused but brighter, the background was at approximately the same distance but of a slightly different quality. I am not certain of other details, but I believe that I was shooting a slower exposure because I needed a smaller aperture at a low ISO. 

     I encountered similar problems when shooting the crew of Planet Express ship. The photo seems almost washed out. I cannot decide what is the exact problem. I know that it was not a professional shoot and the light was not exactly right but I did try a number of settings. In the end I did not achieve a very good result no matter what I tried. 

     Well, there are a few new figures in production so I will keep trying. Perhaps some of my future attempts will produce better images.

Itsuki Koizumi (古泉 一樹 Koizumi Itsuki) is the last member to have joined the SOS Brigade, having been recruited by Haruhi as a "mysterious transfer student". Itsuki was sent to observe and keep Haruhi emotionally stable, in order to protect the rest of humanity. Although he is an esper, which is exactly one of the sorts of people Haruhi desires to meet, Itsuki never reveals himself as such, at least, not to her.

Itsuki is constantly smiling and always speaks in a formal and polite manner. He is also prone to giving long and detailed explanations, usually illustrated by exaggerated hand gestures. Itsuki has confirmed to Kyon once that his outer personality is merely an artificial image he fakes in accordance to Haruhi's impression of him, and hints that his true character is something quite different, being "less pleasing" in the eyes of others. Maintaining his casual, constantly smiling self, however, is vital for keeping Haruhi's mentality balanced. Kyon himself thinks that he prefer seeing him smiling instead of looking melancholic, although the feeling makes him uncomfortable.

Itsuki is also a member in a secret association which he simply refers to as the "Agency" (機関 Kikan, "The Organization" in the English dub). The members of this society consist of special humans known as espers who gained unique ESP-like powers and special knowledge regarding Haruhi three years ago. Since then, they have been actively protecting humanity by fighting giant beings known as Shinjin (神人? Lit. "godlike person") within the closed spaces generated by Haruhi. Should the destruction of the Shinjin be left unchecked, the Closed Spaces generated would eventually take reality's place. He often gives his gratitude to Kyon for keeping Haruhi emotionally stable, and in turn, reducing the workload he and his colleagues are required to perform.

Itsuki seems to be the only one in the SOS Brigade that observes Yuki almost as much as Kyon. Whenever an extraordinary event occurs, he formulates his own theories and tries to enter into discussion with Yuki. Itsuki seems to get along with Mikuru Asahina, however both the organization he belongs to and Mikuru's superior have conflicting ideas regarding Haruhi. Mikuru even personally went to Kyon's class with Tsuruya to ask Kyon to disbelieve Itsuki's theories regarding Haruhi. Itsuki also seems to distrust Mikuru's future self, telling Kyon to be wary of her.

I wonder why pre-orders are not open yet. Pre-orders have started (or here) and my goodness she sells out FAST. Apparently there is very limited stock, like Figma Fate.

I've resisted getting the Nendroid Miku despite her uber cuteness but this action figure is quite a tempting addition to the Figma series.

What attracted me most to this Figma is her costume... She has -SHINY- boots and skirt and sleeves. Err that's boots, right? The material looks different from the released figmas so far. Err... or maybe it is just superior lighting that gave it a glossy effect. I don't know. I find it pretty. I'm strange I know. Oh yea... and the leeks and microphone.

Incidentally, the other two Vocaloid characters, the Kagamine twins will also be available in Figma versions soon. Official date and pics are not out yet.

Anyway, when the twins Figmas are available, I will probably get them too. Besides being cute (I feel so shallow ^^'), they have rather nice props like guitar and such ^^

Official release of the Figma twins is in October ^^ but erm... I guess I won't be buying them unless there's a sale or I'm feeling rich cos they don't look as good as Figma Miku from the official pics. Although I like Ren's keyboard, I won't want to buy him just for the sake of it.

Hmm... since I'm on the topic of girl figures... there are a few other ones that are on my wishlist.

1. She Predator Machiko 1/6 Scale Figure by Hot Toys
Ok... the detail is fantastic and she just screams sexy and power. Oh if you noticed, she happens to look like Angelina Jolie whom I happen to like :P Damage: US $159.99 (approx 17500 yen) More pics here.

2. Real Action Heroes Chun Li by Medicom Toy
Erm... I'm not exactly great at fighting games like Street Fighter... in fact, I kinda suck at them XD But this Chun Li figure looks lovely... look at her legs kekeke... Muscular contours ooo~ if there's any RAH female figure I want to own, it is this one. Death Note's Misa Misa figure really can't compare to this babe. Well, from what I can see from the pics anyway. Her face sculpt is also pretty. Damage: 16800 yen. I've already ordered her x_x

3. Ryougi Shiki from Kara no Kyokai - the Garden of sinners by Good Smile Company
I haven't seen the anime but this statue/figure caught my eye when I was surfing figure websites. Very beautiful, especially the intricate detail of her kimono. Damage: 6500 yen. Seriously tempting even for my no-statue figure buying policy x_x (ok... Togainu Shiki and Akira in Military uniform are exceptions.) Very tempted but not priority. Only if I have spare cash (That'll be a miracle XD) Preorder and bigger pics here.

Anyway, even if I don't buy the statue, I'm going to be so broke (T_T)

Alyssa Zeller holds an Obama action figure for sale on the 16th Street Mall on Monday. More than 680 people applied for peddler's licenses for the week of the Democratic convention.

More than 680 people applied for peddler's licenses to sell their wares during the DNC this week, according to the city of Denver, compared to 80 during last year's World Series. Some of the vendors are artists and entrepreneurs who designed their souvenirs themselves. Here are profiles of three:

* Jason Feinberg designed and sold whimsical action figures like Che Guevara, Beethoven and Malcolm X for three years as a sideline while he worked as a English as a second language teacher.

Then Barack Obama changed his life.

Feinberg, who founded Jailbreak Toys, started churning out the Barack Obama figure as soon as the Illinois Senator won the Iowa caucus this January. The $13 doll turned into an immediate hit, and soon Jailbreak was supplying the toy to Urban Outfitters, Borders and selling it online.

Feinberg brought 5,000 of the dolls with him from his home in Brooklyn to Denver, where he and his girlfriend, Alyssa Zeller, are selling them in a cart across the street from Writer's Square. The dolls sold well enough to allow him to quit his teaching job in June and devote himself full time to the business.

"I often think how strange it is to have my fortune tied to someone I've never met," said Feinberg, 31.

Feinberg is donating $1 to the Obama campaign for every doll that Jailbreak sells - until Jailbreak hits the campaign contribution limit of $2,300.

Jailbreak also makes a McCain action figure, but only because one of his retail clients said it couldn't sell the Obama doll without providing bipartisan balance. Feinberg has no plans to set up shop at the Republican National Convention in Minneapolis-St. Paul next week, however.

"It just wouldn't feel right," he said.

Sergeant Major Kururu (クルル曹長 Kururu Sōchō) is  a Sergeant Major in the Keron Army, and the head of communications in the Keroro Platoon. Although he is of a higher rank than Keroro, he is not the leader of the Platoon due to his unpleasant and unnerving demeanor, which has given him the nickname of 'Yellow Devil'. His blood type is AB.

Personality.  Kururu is the brain of the Keroro Platoon, officially in charge of intelligence and planning, and the alien partner of Mutsumi Hojo. However, he is extremely mischievous, deceitful, and downright evil and enigmatic, almost to the point where some people might call him a mad scientist. He is generally disliked by everyone, most of the characters seeing him as a depressing jerk and in the series, action figures of him tend to sell very poorly on Keron, (much to Kururu's chagrin but Kururu seems to take pride in his bad attitude).

Kururu's remote control resembles an iPod. He dislikes sukiyaki. Kururu's favorite dish is curry. He loves it so much he bathes in it. It is shown in the Secret of the Kero Ball that his color originates from bathing in curry. It is unknown if bathing in curry is essential to maintain his yellow colour.

Kururu often punctuates his sentences with a high-pitched laugh pronounced 'kukuku'; this may allude to his mischievous nature, as 'ku' can mean '9', but has the same pronunciation as 'bitterness'. Kururu's favorite word seems to be "Pochito" or in English, "I press." Kururu is known to be immune to disgusting foods and can eat a lot of it nonstop.

     I have had this idea for a while now: Kif and Zapp with the US flag (perhaps DOOP flag would have been better). And finally I got around to taking a few snapshots. This one has become my favorite. I like the lighting; it is soft and the colors are pleasant and lifelike. I was shooting on the balcony during a light rain and sunlight was nicely diffused. I have also adjusted exposure, so I am pretty proud of my effort.
     The idea was to position Kif looking over Brannigan's shoulder as if trying to get into the photo. I kept the focus on him and tried a few apertures. This one worked best. The other ones had Zapp way too blurry but in this one he is not the center of the focus, yet, he is nicely sharp. I used my Nikkor 60mm Macro, so I had a good choice of apertures.
     I do not have instinctive talent for photography or even technical expertise but in this case I made a few conscious choices to improve the image and I got a good result. That is an improvement! And this time I will take credit for it.

Meer Campbell (ミーア・キャンベル Mīa Kyanberu) has a voice that sounds very similar to her idol's, Lacus Clyne, and she uses this to her advantage as she impersonates Lacus throughout the episodes. Reflecting this, both Meer Campbell and Lacus Clyne are voiced by Rie Tanaka in the Japanese version and by Chantal Strand in the English dub. Jillian Michaels provides the English singing voice of both as well. Her name means "lake" in Dutch, possibly reflecting her role in the story as her idol—Lacus's name also means lake but in Latin.

Meer is contacted by Chairman Gilbert Durandal, who asks her to pose as Lacus to enhance his political position. After she accepts the job, Meer's face is surgically altered to look identical to Lacus; however, tell-tale signs that reveal their own identities—their hairclips and attire.

Meer takes Lacus' image as a pop star further: singing more upbeat versions of her songs, more dancing, more revealing clothing, etc.

Yesterday was good I guess.  I mean, not much happened, but that's okay.  I did, however, draw this cute little batman that I got from the interweb - there's these new little action figure dudes, and I drew one.  So now I have Batman on my wall.   Along with a pretty palm tree with a sunset.  And a turtle picture I bought.  And the two characters I made. And some blackberries I drew.  And the Candyland board, but in 12x12 paper form, and my show-name in blog letters, and the flowers I painted, and the sign I made the other day,and this other sign I made at like, Christmas.  OH, and the big collage on the other side of the wall (this is near a corner,  mind you).
It's pretty cool.  It's just to the left of my desk, as is the clock, so I'm already trained to look over there.

Oh, and I have something new, that I'm not telling.  Ha ha ha...I am SO cruel, I know.
I could tell, but that would ruin the surprise.
Actually, there is no surprise, I just don't feel like sharing right now, that's all. :-P

You know, there actually isn't much else really.  I mean, same ol' same ol', every day.
Pendel left me a mean comment - it's hilarious, because he was missing a large piece of information that would make that comment work.  So, it's funny.  And even funnier because his attempt at meanness was completely futile.  Ha ha ha...Makes one laugh.

I seriously need something to do.
I'm sort of burnt out on things to do.
And I'm not quite sure why that is.  There's just like nothing to do.  Like, I could color something or draw something, but I need something to draw!  ....That's the hard part.  Other than that, I really don't have anything to do.  I think.

I did, however, get my first birthday card today.  Which is the first of a few to come, I know.  Because, well, it's my birthday on Thursday.  DURRR.  And then I'll finally get to be 17...!!!  And then school will start like two weeks after that....GAHHHHH.  So not looking forward to that part.  Which sucks.  Oh well.  At least it's my LAST YEAR.....!!!!  Part-ay time!!!

Private Second Class Tamama (タママ二等兵 Tamama-nitohei) is ranked Private Second Class in the Keron Army's Keroro Platoon. He is the newest member in the planetary invasion troop, and also the youngest. His name stems from the Japanese word otamajakushi "tadpole". While his age is unknown, Etsuko Kozakura has stated that she voiced Tamama as someone who was 19 years old.

Personality. Tamama is possessed of a tendency to have mood swings that border on a split personality, just like his partner Momoka Nishizawa. While usually gentle and cheerful, Tamama can become a vengeful, raving maniac at the drop of a hat. Tamama is also prone to fits of jealousy, usually towards anyone who gets near Keroro (especially Angol Mois, who he frequently refers to as "that woman").

Likes. Tamama likes junk food (especially candy, cake, cola, and potato chips) and physical training (he has his own private training room in the Nishizawa Mansion). He also enjoys being jealous.

Relationships. Tamama idolizes and admires Keroro. His love for Keroro results in his rivalry towards all those in Keroro's love life, especially his hated rival, Angol Mois. He is the friend, and a bit of a pet, of Momoka Nishizawa.
