A breve comincerò a disquisire sulle origini del famoso liquore proveniente dal Messico, ma prima gradirei presentare ai lettori un nuovo fenomeno da baraccone: TILA TEQUILA (scioccante)

Chi è questa Tila??? Precisiamo subito che fortunatamente dalle nostre parti non è ancora nessuno, ma negli States è una vera e propria star!! Wikipedia ne parla più o meno così: Tila Tequila (vero nome Thien Thanh Thi Nguyen) è una modella e cantante statunitense, di origini franco-vietnamite. La sua fama è iniziata su Myspace dove da un po' di tempo gestisce una delle pagine più popolari del web. All'attivo possiede alcune canzoni (...una serie di guaiti fastidiosi su base hip-hop) CULturalmente impegnate, e un film di notevole spessore diretto da Dennis Dugan (?????) in cui ha "recitato" come ragazza hooters.

Tila si definisce una "convinta bisessuale", ma voci insistenti nel mondo del gossip statunitense affermano che in realtà sia omosessuale e che, sotto consiglio del suo agente, si proclami bisex per garantirsi una maggiore appetibilità da parte del pubblico.

Non è tutto...Mtv di recente le ha cucito addosso un reality show intitolato "A shot at Love with Tila Tequila". All'interno di una lussu(ri)osa villa la nostra protagonista verrà aiutata a fare chiarezza sulla sua sessualità attraverso la convivenza obbligata con uomini allupati e donne compiacenti!! Tila è contemporaneamente conduttrice, opinionista, corteggiatrice e corteggiata. La volgarità è ovviamente assicurata!!!

"Uomini e donne" di Maria De Filippi in confronto diventa un documentario per bambini da trasmettere durante le puntate della Melevisione!

Prendiamo ora commiato dal nome per concentrarci maggiormente sul cognome di questa impareggiabile e poliedrica artista!!

Il TEQUILA è la bevanda più conosciuta e rappresentativa del Messico, si tratta di un liquore ottenuto per distillazione del frutto fermentato di AGAVE TEQUILANA (che ad onor di cronaca può raggiungere il ragguardevole peso di 50 kg). Occorrono dagli 8 ai 15 anni prima che l'Agave dia i suoi frutti (pinas). Aspettando il giorno della tanto attesa raccolta i campesinos (coltivatori messicani) si limitano a recidere i forti aculei (pencas) che spuntano dalla pianta. La potatura ha lo scopo di migliorare la qualità del futuro frutto. Dalle foglie sottoposte a fermentazione si ricavano gli Agavosidi cioè delle saponine steroidee usate dall'industria farmaceutica per sintetizzare i corticosteroidi (ormoni che noi produciamo a livello delle ghiandole surrenali).

Il cuore di agave maturo (il nostro frutto) viene, dopo la raccolta, messo in un grande forno e macinato per separare la polpa dal succo; in seguito viene aggiunto dello zucchero per ottenere uno sciroppo dolciastro (substrato per la fermentazione alcoolica).
A seguito delle fermentazioni, attivate a partire da lieviti selezionati, si ottengono il "Pulque"(max 18% grado alcolico), il "Mezcal"(reso famoso per la presenza nelle sue bottiglie del Gusano, la famosa larva di Hypopta agavis, segno di scarsa qualità contrariamente a ciò che si pensa) e infine la Tequila che dopo la distillazione è pronta per essere imbottigliata e avviata o all'invecchiamento o alla commercializzazione.

O episódio começou com a disputa entre grupos em um vale tudo em cima da tinta, a equipe ganhadora ganhou uma festa na doceria da Tila. A melhor parte do episódio acontece no dia posterior, quando eles acordam e precisam dizer quem na opinião deles devem ficar ou sair, forçando todos eles a mostrarem suas simpatias ou antipatias.

Tila fica surpresa quando todos os rapazes votam para o jay sair e todos votam para o george ficar exceto o Jay. Todos sem exceção elegem Lisa como a que devem ficar e como maior ameaça, e ao mesmo tempo todos elegem o Bo como o que deve ir, o que menos combina com tila.

O resultado foi, a Lisa ganha uma chave sem precisar ir para a eliminação da noite, já o Bo ganha um tempo para mostrar a Tila que não deve sair. O que foi otimo para ele que mostrou cada vez mais apaixonado por ela.

Durante a eliminação, Tila dá a chave a todos restando somente Glitter, George e Scotty. Ela elimina a Glitter e depois elimina o Scotty. eliminação obvia, são dois que deveriam ter saido a mais tempo.

Com ainda doze candidatos, Tila deu a oportunidade a todos de conversarem e elaborou algumas perguntas para os participantes que tinham que ser respondidas na frente de todos, o unico momento polêmico foi quando perguntados sobre o casamento gay, o participante Chad, que mostrou ser total ignorante, disse que era contra o casamento gay, pois, as pessoas poderiam utilizar disso para infrigirem seguros de vidas, ouve uma discussão entre ele, Kristy e Lisa. Enquanto os outros prefiriam ficar calados e não omitirem sua opinião.

Mais tarde, Tila preparou um rodeio na area externa da casa, nomeado "Bi-nasty" onde separados em equipes, os participantes tinham que subir no touro mecânico e tentar ficar mais tempo que os outros candidatos. A equipe amarela composta por George, Jay, Glitter, Sirbrina, Michelle e Scotty ganham e passam mais um tempo com a Tila numa reprodução fiel de saloon do velho oeste, enquanto os perdedores tinham que preparar um Chilli para o jantar da Tila.

Durante a festa no Sallon, Tila puxa Michelle e George para uma conversa particular, Michelle se mostra bastante parecida com os interesses da Tila, Já George se mostra timido ao falar de preferencias sexuais, desagrando Tila que disse as cameras preferir caras mais ousados. Depois com Sirbrina, elas retomam o beijo que tinham dado já no primeiro programa.

Enquanto isso na cozinha, os "losers" preparavam o jantar da Tila, lederados por Bo que irritava a todos com suas ordens. Depois do Jantar Bo, que foi quese eliminado na semana passada, chamou a Tila para uma conversa.

Na outra manhã, o dia começou com um banho de piscina, onde as participantes começaram a mostrar seus seios para impressionar Tila, depois disso teve mais uma prova ao redor da piscina onde a dupla Lisa e Kyle agnaharam um momento particular antes da eliminação, o Kyle ficou o tempo todo falando de sexo, assustando Tila que o tinha como um garoto meigo e timido. E no final dá um beijo na Lisa e não no Kyle.

É hora da eliminação, Tila foi dando as chaves e sobraram apenas, Kyle, George, Lisa e Glitter. A proxima chave foi dada a Glitter e surpreendendo a todos, Tila dá a outra chave a Lisa eliminando os dois garotos. Kyle e George. O que causou espanto em todos. Todos os participantes ficaram chocados com a liminação de George que era querido por vários participantes, e em depoimento ele se mostrou decepcionado e já se mostrava gostar da Tila, indignado disse que perdeu por ter sido educado e respeitoso.

Com todo mundo abalado, a Sirbrina chorando foi consolada pelo Bo, o Jay começou a atrapalhar a conversa dos dois e o Bo irritado começou uma discussão com ele, irritado disse para ele sair da barra do Chad e isso quase encadeou uma briga maior, e os participantes foram afastados, no ultimo minuto, Bo aparece do nada do lado do Chad e leva uma cabeçada dele. e asim acaba o programa com um corte brutal. Quem quiser saber o que deu essa briga, so no próximo episódio.

Ufa!!!! Desculpem pelo texto gigantesco mas aconteceu muita coisa nesse episódio importante e não podia deixar de falar.

A brokenhearted and humiliated Tila Tequila may have been dumped by Kristy Morgan on national television last month, but Tequila looks to have another shot at love.  

The MTV reality star stepped out with new gal pal Courtenay Semel, a socialite and former Lindsay Lohan friend, at Thursday's EA Sports/Xbox 360 premiere of Madden NFL "09 in Los Angeles. A beaming Tequila told PEOPLE she “didn’t want to jinx anything” about their relationship, but said she was very happy.
 
Semel, however, happily shared her feelings for the MTV reality star. “I’d seen the show [A Shot at Love] and just needed to meet her…and it just happened,” Semel says of Tequila. Now the “best friends” are content to lay in bed watching movies, share clothes and makeup and steer clear of drama.
 
"There are no games," says Tequila. "It's true what they say about lesbians--you meet and then the next day you move in together, because I can't get rid of her. She pretty much lives at my house.” -- Michelle Ward

Primeiramente, quero fazer a minha reclamação: A MTV Brasil está com sérios problemas de transmissão pelo menos na minha cidade (Vitória), por isso não deu para entender nada do que se passava no episódio, vou esperar a reprise, mas como o site da MTV americana disponibiliza o episódio inteiro para assistir, estou treinando meu inglês e tentando carregar o episódio aqui do trabalho. (Quem quiser assistir os episódios de A Shot at Love II em Ingles diretamente do site da MTV - Clique aqui).

O terceiro episódio de A Shot at Love II, foi marcado pelo campeonato chamado "Tila's annual bi-athlon" que já havia acontecido no A Shot at Love I. Do lado de fora da casa, os homens contra as mulheres disputaram uma serie de provas contra o tempo para garantir o prêmio com a Tila. No último instante as mulheres acabaram virando o jogo e ganhando. Como presente receberam uma aula bem sexy com a professorinha Tila, já os perdedores receberam mais tarde uma festinha estilo baile de formatura com a Tila. Ao fim de uma disputa envolvendo bebidas "pouco tradicionais" heheheh, receberam a notícia de que quatro seriam eliminados esta noite, Durante o ultimo bloco Tila acabou eliminando: V, Ryan, Dominic and Lauryn.

Desculpa pelo post superficial, não consegui ver tudo, quando assistir a reprise, eu volto e completo o post contando os detalhes, os beijos, as brigas, e muito mais.

O único que anda salvando é "Toma lá da cá". Quando a Globo vai ousar e resolver produzir uma série a nivel Estados Unidos e não só mais uma comédia de piadas bobas.

"Hey girl hey" is a catchphrase used by many lesbians and non-lesbians alike. It spawned from the pilot episode of the television show "Shot at Love With Tila Tequila." One of the girls, Kiesha, was best known for being seemingly drunk the entire time, had a short few moments to explain herself and "hey girl hey" was something that she claimed she wasn't afraid to say.

Por se tratar de Tila Tequila já sabe o quanto extrondoso este reality show é! Tila, modelo americana descendente de vietnamitas e pousou para a Playboy americana, se assumiu bissexual no primeiro A Shot at Love onde procurava entre lésbicas e rapazes um amor verdadeiro. O priemiro programa foi marcado pelas confusões entre os participantes e os amassos calientes entre a apresentadora e muitos dos participantes.

No final de A Shot at Love I, ela acabou escolhendo Bobby ao inves da queridinha do público e lésbica Dani, porém o relacionamento dos dois não duraram, o motivo não foi explicado, segundo a própria Tila o relacionamento esfriou enquanto os dois não podiam revelar a relação por conta do final do programa, e procurando um novo amor nasce o a Shot at Love II.

hmmmm, ah não, era a Mari Moon -- mais assustada que Julinho do Carmo quando descobriu que a Dercy Gonçalves morreu -- colando um adesivo (de uma banda que a gente não quer citar) no semáforo em frente ao Conjunto Nacional. Visivelmente, era sua primeira vez.

A ligação entre as duas se dá através do tal boletim de Tila, que diz que ela estará no Scrap MTV (23/07, 19h) -- apresentado pela moça que vimos em pleno ato de vandalismo --, vai ser assediada pelo Marcos Mion no Descarga (23/07, 21h), participará de algum outro programa na emissora que nem ela sabe qual é, e gravará um comercial de preservativos.

Fora isso, ela já avisou que quer aproveitar seus dias de folga (5 num total de 7 na viagem) na balada e gastando todo estoque da empresa cujo produto ela veio divulgar. Ok, essa última parte já é só especulação por nossa conta.

Tila Tequila: daqui a pouco não tem mais nada pra tilar.

Tila Tequila, hoping for answers and closure after getting dumped on her own show, reunited with her A Shot at Love 2 finalists, Kristy Morgan and Bo Kunkle, on Tuesday's One Shot Too Many special. As host Ryan Stout put it, it was a season of "broken jaws, broken promises, and broken hearts," and the reunion continued the trend with Tila calling Kristy "fake" and Bo leaving disappointed once again.

As it turns out, Bo's problems didn't end when Tila dumped him. The assistant coach for an high school football team told the audience that the school board fired him after he appeared on the show. "That was just as hard as getting my heart broken by Tila," he said. And as for getting his heart broken, "That was like a head butt in the face."

Surprisingly, Bo supported Kristy's decision not to accept Tila's key. But as he told Tila, "To find out you got your heart broken just like me, it made me feel all the more worse."

Kristy's appearance brought the real drama. To explain why she rejected Tila after leading her on all season, Kristy said she was overwhelmed with insecurity after seeing Tila connect to Bo and other contestants. "Am I going to be that perfect person she has in mind?" she asked. "I don't want to be another phony reality couple that's going to break up in three months."

When Ryan asked her about the differences between men and women, Kristy explained, "Men are completely simple, they're easy, but women are so complicated." And Tila, a reality star who "dated" more than 60 other contestants on two seasons of the show, certainly has a complicated history.

But Tila didn't want to hear it, since everyone on the show knew how it worked from the beginning. "You are so fake," Tila told her. "You are confused and you need help."

The last straw came when Kristy told Tila, who broke Bo's heart, "What goes around comes around!" At that, Tila walked off the set with these parting words: "Shut your trash hole." -- Madeleine Desmond

This year's TV output has ranged from the excellent (Bleak House) to the diabolic (Rome), the witty (Weeds) and the downright mean (More 4's opening shot at David Blunkett's messy love life).

Thanks to my Sky Plus; I've watched every episode of Bleak House and it is as good as it could be. I hadn't read the book, but from the moment the opening credits rolled, I was hooked on the drama.

Charles Dance's Tulkinghorn embodies both evil and something even more frightening - the law itself. Gillian Anderson gives a brilliant performance as the damaged and desperate Lady Dedlock.

Even Esther, whose goodness one could easily learn to despise, walks the tightrope and stays with the angels. The lesser characters all work to perfection, captured in short, pithy scenes where every element pulls magically together to convey so much more than the individual parts.

I agree Bleak House was excellent - apart from the last episode which ruined it for me. With its "happy ever after" ending and hackneyed chocolate box images it was sickly sweet and seemed to be written and directed by someone from another planet to the team who made the brilliantly dark and intriguing preceding episodes. Charles Dance as Tulkinghorn was superb and Gillian Anderson as Lady Dedlock a revelation but once she was dead the whole thing seemed to unravel. Shame.

To Andrew Walker: No, you're not the only one to think Little Britain isn't funny. I'm ashamed to belong to the same race as those who voted Little Britain as Best Comedy. As an avid fan of anything involving swords and sandals, I was positively foaming at the mouth with anticipation when I heard about the imminent arrival of Rome to our screens. Unfortunately, it turned out to be utter drivel. I can contend with the blatant historical accuracies, the dodgy acting and the rubbish battle scenes but what really turned me off was how slow and boring it was.

I love both Rome and Bleak House. And even if Rosie didn't like it, the fact that most of the money was put up by HBO has nothing to do with it. HBO Showtime has produced some great drama in recent years. And no mention of Lost? Or the superb Doctor Who? Typical highbrow view from a Newsnight Review contributor I'm afraid.

I know everyone else seems to have gone mad for Bleak House, but as the weeks went by, I found it increasingly disappointing. It was both interminable and curiously empty and repetitive - the plot that drives the novel seemed to have been whittled away to nothing. With the decision taken to stuff it with well-known actors, it was inevitable that a number would be badly miscast. And, as always with Andrew Davies, there were the usual anachronisms and reductions to make you suck your teeth in dismay.

I am shocked that the new HBO/BBC series Rome can be labelled diabolic! It took a few episodes to get going but it is another fantastic collaboration of HBO and BBC (as was Band of Brothers). The actors, costumes and storylines are very entertaining. It is not in the same league as the Sopranos but is excellent drama none the less.

Watching it has reminded me of being glued to the box for Charles Sturridge's adaptation of Brideshead Revisited and, even further back, the Forsythe Saga in the 1960s. Every week this autumn I have looked forward to watching the next episode, something that, sadly, is a rare event.

Rome

I set my Sky Plus to catch the first episode of Rome and settled down to watch. The hype had been enormous, far bigger than for Bleak House and I expected to find the same brilliance again.

It was hard to believe that this rubbish had come from the same stable. The plot was chaotic, the sex ludicrous, the costumes hammy and the violence both crude and insistent.

Robert Harris, author of Pompeii, condemned the series as being as historically accurate as depicting Clemmie Churchill having sex with Ribbentrop and poisoning Chamberlain before the Second World War.

It seems to me that it is no excuse to blame some of Rome's excesses on the fact that it was a £60 million co-production with HBO, to which the BBC contributed a mere 9 million.

Something went horribly wrong and the fact that the BBC only contributed one sixth of the overall costs is no excuse for broadcasting such a disaster. I don't know what the overall budget was for Bleak House, but £9 million must have been a very decent chunk of it.

I hope someone is losing a little sleep about squandering the public dosh so badly.

Weeds

Weeds, screened on Sky One this autumn was a terrific follow on to the gap left in my viewing life by the end of the first series of Desperate Housewives.

Like Housewives, Weeds concerned a white middle class community with problems.

The heroine of Weeds has suddenly been widowed and her late husband's insurance policies don't cover the costs of running her home and her children. To make ends meet she starts dealing grass to her friends in the neighbourhood and there the fun starts.

The characters in Weeds make the inhabitants of Wisteria Lane look tame and some of the conversations made me gasp. (Mother to daughter: "Perhaps I should have had an abortion, you're such a pain). But it was slick and fast, with racy dialogue and genuinely risqué moments.

One of the best documentaries I saw this year was Storyville's Sir, No Sir. I had had no idea just how extensive and powerful the anti-Vietnam war movement had been among the GIs themselves.

Sir, No Sir took us on their journey of understanding as first tens, then thousands, saw that they were fighting an unjust war. It was brave of young Americans to refuse the draft, but even braver I think to go there and then rebel.

There was brilliant footage from the war and from Stateside protests as well as clips from Jane Fonda's concerts that she put on for pacifist troops.

All these references to Sky look like product placement particularly from someone who claims never to have read Bleak House. I enjoy Rome. It is very thrilling. It shows you what Bodies or The Thick of It would be like if people were less civilised, but there is a certain resonance in the way inconvenient people get despatched. I look forward to Rome every week. Congratulations to the people who produced it.

I think Rome is doing OK overall as season two has already been commissioned. Shakespeare it is not, but Up Pompeii style antics it is. Great fun.

TV highlight of the year? The Rotters' Club. Yes, it occasionally allowed itself to wallow in a nostalgia-fest, but the young cast were a delight, the script was sharp and funny, and the depiction of 1970's Britain was terrific. Now for an adaptation of The Closed Circle.

Bleak House has been great, although I've missed a couple on Fridays, because, like the excellent The West Wing, early Friday is bad for my memory. Rome has been what I expected it to be, a 21st Century Borgias entertaining & amusing at the same time.

Am I the only one to think that Little Britain series 3, isn't funny? Worst Week of My Life gets better & could run & run. My children enjoyed Shoe Box Zoo & watch Strictly Come Dancing. My 8-year-old daughter also loves Third Rock From The Sun on ITV 3, which shows the incredible John Lithgow at his best.

I have caught the odd Larry Saunders repeat which is still brilliant, Peep Show, darkly disturbing & have watched all the Brideshead repeats. Overall, the new programmes on terrestrial have been better than the last few years. However, I like the Freeview channels, because they seem to show the best old stuff - including The Sopranos.

Can Paul Abbott do another political thriller in 2006?

I am not surprised Rosie would not like Rome as it is most definitely a male orientated action series whereupon Bleak House (which I also like) is a female orientated series. They are both a breath of fresh air instead of the usual fodder or soaps et al.

Late last night (around 11 pm), Tila Tequila posted an angry poem to her MySpace page:

At the party, the former Playboy model took a break from signing autographs and posing for pictures to chat with PEOPLE about why refusing the key to Tila's heart was "the right thing."

"I really went with what my heart said," Morgan said. "Sometimes you date people, and then it's not always the happy ending."

Morgan, who is bisexual, said she was "emotionally unstable" living away from friends and family and in a house full of lesbians and straight men. "It helped me learn what type of woman I want to be, [but] I started to emotionally break down," she said.

Now she's back in New York and happy again, posing for photos and signing autographs for fans. But, she said, "I'm not letting this reality stuff get to my head."

And we're not rid of Tila just yet. While she refused to comment on what the MTV star is really like, Morgan did say there will be more drama on the upcoming reunion special. -- Emmet Sullivan

The blog post, which is time-stamped 11:32 p.m. Tuesday, is presumably about Kristy, who refused the key to Tila's heart in the finale, telling her, "If I take this key I'm not being true." Tila had already dismissed the final male suitor, Bo Kunkle, a high school football coach from Fairborn, Ohio, after her told her he loved her.

But the MySpace post wasn't all angry verses. Tila is clearly ready to move on. Well, almost: "Only 1 more day. To feel this way. Tomorrow I smile....brings another day!" she wrote.

Over six hundred comments poured in on the popular social network -- most in support of Tila, although some suggested that she should have picked Bo as the winner: "Bo was so great and he really loved you. Go back and get him," one commenter wrote.

Another commenter even offered her shoulder for Tila to cry on: "I'm bisexual and I LOVE women....Tila, why don't you come to Miami. I'll make you feel better!" Who knows -- maybe the commenter will be able to audition for A Shot at Love 3! -- Jessica Haralson

So.  The season finale of the show I refused to watch this season (BECAUSE YOU ONLY GET ONE SHOT AT LOVE, DAMNIT!) aired the other night.  And Tila chose a girl.  (Like American Idol, she has to switch genders every season.)  And the girl rejected that ho!

And this is why Tila is falling in love with Africa.  It makes so much sense now!  I still call dibs on the Pacific Ocean, though.

On Tuesday's finale of A Shot at Love 2, Tila Tequila's decision became clear early in the episode when she rooted for female finalist Kristy over potential boyfriend Bo as they each did their best with their body heat to melt a block of ice to get to "Tila's heart" frozen in the center. Another clue: Tila dressed down for her sports bar date with Bo, but was decked out in a slinky dress for her romantic dinner with Kristy, who also enjoyed a steamy makeout session in the hot tub.

Poor Bo didn't know any of that, though, and was blindsided when Tila dismissed him. "I've been calling Tila my girlfriend for a long time now," he said. "I really do love Tila." He was heartbroken but gracious when he didn't get a key, telling her, "You always got your Bo-bear."

But Tila herself had a surprise coming when Kristy refused the key. "You love that I'm honest and that I'm true to my feelings and true about who I am," she said. "If I take this key I'm not being true."

Ouch! "Why would you do that now?" Tila asked. "Why would you put me through all this process? ... I feel humiliated."

Kristy had been dropping hints all night, though. Over dinner, she told Tila, "I am 120 percent sure of my feelings for you, but I am unsure about my experience with women. I've never done this before. I'm so scared to hurt you." In the limo ride to the final decision, she even said, "It would be a lot easier if she didn't choose me."

So Tila, who had said earlier, "No matter what, I'm going to be the one breaking someone's heart," ended up heartbroken and alone once again. On the bright side: It paves the way for A Shot at Love 3 with Tila Tequila! -- Madeleine Desmond

Plot twist!

Last night as Tila prepared to hand her chosen one, Kristy, the final key and asked the oh-so-played-"Are you interested?" she got turned down.

Kristy was not ready yet or some other excuse like the producers told her to do that so they could make yet another fucking season of this trashy, disgusting and utterly addictive show.

Tila and Flavor Flav need to get together, get married and make a newlywed style show.  That would be ratings gold.

I thought I could be that girl. Or better yet, I thought I could play like a guy. Moving around, jumping around and never letting my heart into the mix. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be working out that way. My heart now seems to be wrapped around the issue tighter than I ever thought could happen. But what do I do now?

Do I nurse what will inevitably be a broken heart? Do I plunge forward and try to justify my feelings? Do I shut up and just take it because I, myself, all by myself got into this mess. Actually, no I threw myself headfirst into this, mess and never bothered to look back, or in this case ahead. I never looked to see where my feelings and my heart would land.

Maybe this is all stemming from the fact that I just watched the finale of Tila Tequila's a Shot at Love. Maybe. Or maybe I'm just tired of getting my heart broken and went for an alternative approach. As I look at myself and listen to myself, I don't think the alternative approach was the best idea in this case.

So, I'm sitting here. I'm sitting here in a pool of doubt and confusion and a little bit of shame. Shame on me for not listening. Shame on me for not being the right kind of girl. Shame on me for not know what I want or who I want it from. Or better yet, finding who I want it from and making the biggest mess out of things. Shame on me and I mean shame.

This whole trend has also been marked by self-identified bisexual Tila Tequila.  My initial thoughts about this show were that it had a great gimmick and marketability, both MEN and WOMEN competing for the "love" of a woman.  GREAT, now we are seeing a fuller representation of sexuality in America.  But, now with A Shot at Love and Flavor of Love and their sequels, it all seems counter-intuitive to the idea of finding real love on a reality show and makes me question the real sincerity involved.  This brings me to, I Love New York and The Bachelorette.  With the exception of Tila's show, it seems that all the women who have had these reality shows seem to develop serious relationships with their partners from the show.  Remember, Trista, the first bachelorette?  She's married to the man she met on that show still and they have child together, with no apparents signs of a split.  Also, consider Tiffany from I Love New York, her show was mostly absolute hilarity and foolishness, but last I heard she's engaged to man she met on that show.

Now, with the new Bachelorette finale looming in the coming week, will DeAnna follow this trend of the women on reality dating shows maintaining a serious relationship?  But, what seems to be the greater issue is, what does this say about the representation of our men on those shows?  It seems sad to me, that there seems to be no record of a "bachelor" on one of these shows maintaining a serious relationship.  Is it possible that this specific sampling of men simply do not really seek the "love" they claim?  AND, are men being misrepresented here, all the while continually playing into our macho stereotypes?
