Arachne then appears and it seems she is Medusa's older sister. It's revealed that she was hunted down by the Witches for killing her own kind and also by Shinigami which led her into hiding inside a golem. Crona attacks her after being taunted with but gets smacked on the face and and sliced by Giriko's saw legs. He's about to slice of Crona's head but Justin comes and saves him in the nick of time. We learn that he became a Deathscythe 4 years ago at the age of 13; the youngest ever DeathScythe. He also didn't have a partner and fought by himself.

Giriko then fights evenly with Justin but Justin and Giriko escape as the golems energy is about to run out, leaving the golem there. Justin then defeats it easily and places Maka in a coffin and everyone pretends to be unable to hear her. Crona then adds some flowers to her coffin just for luls. xD

Meanwhile, Arachne meets up with some midget guy called Mosquito who drives him to her castle where her supporters are there and say they will crush Shinigami.

How old were you when you first realized your identity? It sounds silly, but I first identified as gay when I was a teen. Just couldn't make sense of it because my body and everyone around me told me I was a girl and I was attracted to boys, so then I would be straight, right? But I wasn't.
At some point I heard of transsexualism, but they were all very heterosexual and heteronormative, so I didn't fit. For a while I thought I could live a double life; one as a man and one as a female, but it didn't work. I got terribly depressed. I didn't realise that I really am transsexual until I was 27. That was too late acording to the Norwegian gender clinic.
How old were you when you first told someone? 27
Did you plan it? If so, how? Yes. I had to tell my GP in order to get diagnosed and start transitioning.
What made you choose that person to tell? I had to tell him in order to transition.
Can you remember exactly what you said? I told him I wanted to talk to a doctor with experience with transgender patients. I cried.
How did you feel? Terrified
What did they say? "I have no clues to this, so of course I will help you to see someone who knows something about it."
If you've experienced homophobia etc, please give an example.
Homophobia: The psychiatrist at the gender clinic told me to go have sex with a woman. This was after I told her I was gay and only attracted to men. I also think that me being gay was a reason for turning me down; giving me the wrong diagnosis and refuse to treat me.
Transphobia: The child service wanted to check up on me regularly just because was transsexual and had a child. They didn't contact anyone with any trans-experience, although I gave them lots of phone numbers and addresses. They obviously thought transsexualism automatically makes a person incapable of being a good parent. Fortunately they closed the case after a year.
Since coming out, how "out" are you in the following areas of your life:

What does being out mean to you? Correct people who use wrong pronoun or name, hint to my transsexualism if someone doesn't know, or tell them straight out, being able to talk about my past without shame, f.ex. about pregnancy.
What differences, if any, did your cultural background make to your experience of coming out? It made it easier that I belong to the ethnic majority. I think my class (academical) made it more difficult for me to realise that I am transsexual and to speak in the "right" terms at the gender clinic.
What does the concept of the closet mean to you? I don't understand it, because I came out as soon as I could. My experience with the closet was very short, maximum a few months, and I don't understand how people can live that way.
What advice would you give someone wanting to come out? I guess that depends on the situation. I have been very fortunate. All my friends and family respect who I am. So from my experience, coming out is a very positive thing.
If you could do it all again, would you do it any differently? If so, how? I would lie to the gender clinic so I would get treatment!

No Evangelho, Jesus retoma a imagem da “vinha”. Critica fortemente os líderes judaicos que se apropriaram em benefício próprio da “vinha de Deus” e que se recusaram sempre a oferecer a Deus os frutos que lhe eram devidos. Jesus anuncia que a “vinha” vai ser-lhes retirada e vai ser confiada a trabalhadores que produzam e que entreguem a Deus os frutos que ele espera.

Na segunda leitura, Paulo exorta os cristãos da cidade grega de Filipos – e todos os que fazem parte da “vinha de Deus” – a viverem na alegria e na serenidade, respeitando o que é verdadeiro, nobre, justo e digno. São esses os frutos que Deus espera da sua “vinha”.

It was a great performance on Saturday. Perhaps one of the best performances --- of one of my plays. Maybe not the top five, but it makes me happy to be involved in theatre again.

There were glitches, but covered quite well. There were several things that I thought were great. One was how excited the actors were after the interview. While they were going through the answers (the audience guess who the killer is) it was like wolves at the chicken plucking festival. And one of the students said to the student stage manager === "Alex you need to hang with us. In fact I think we should all keep getting together even without Ms. Director."

One of the kids' mother was at the play. A woman who I have had a mild crush on for about 10 years. I have kind of backed away from her because the one time I flirted with her she acted like I was kind of creepy. I didn't say much to her on Saturday and she again acted odd around me, but in hindsight it made me wonder if she might actually be interested in me. Now I will likely not run into her much, now that her son is graduating.

These things are so hard for me to figure out. Too bad there isn't a way for people to send the clear signal. Even if the signal was -- "I am dating someone, but if I wasn't, I would like to date you."

And of course this whole weekend being amped up on desire didn't help. And I was totally alone.

It was a beautiful weekend in general. The drive back and forth was through peak autumn color. I would say the only down point was the only special at pizza hut was two medium pizza plus cinnamon and bread sticks. I could have not order it or not ate all, but I am still bloated. It was good, which is why I ate too much

The Tigers lost today --- again due to a poor performance from the bullpen. They play chicago tomorrow to finish a rainout, if they beat the whitesox, it would be a rewarding ending. Especially if Gary Sheffield can hit homer #500.

I arrived at the Greater Reading Expo Center at exactly 9:00 a.m.  The big news that all the dealers were talking about was that the show was sold to Hunt Auctions.  Many of the dealers I talked to were not happy at all.  Not only are the dealers angry because they are moving the show to a new location, but they also hear rumors that it will cost them $500.00 per table to setup and they will no longer be able to reserve their usual spot on the show floor.  Now its going to be on a first come first serve basis.  A lot of the dealers I talked to said they may not even setup at the next show in March.  

Other than the fact many dealers were bummed about the new show's owner, I thought it was a great day.  When I first got there I headed over the the supply table because I needed top loaders and penny sleeves really bad.  About five minutes later I visited one of my local card shop owners and picked up a 2007 Leaf Certified Materials Fabric of the Game Dual Jersey of Walter Payton and Doak Walker #'ed/100.  I eventually traveled over to a dealer from New York and picked up a Jim Thorpe 2005 Playoff Absolute BASEBALL jersey #'ed/250.  Around lunch time while eating one of Reading's finest cheeseburgers I ripped open a box of 2008 Leaf Certified Materials which contained a bunch of inserts and memorabilia cards such as a Matt Ryan Fabric of the Game jersey, Fred Biletnikoff jersey and a Jeremy Shockey Mirror Emerald insert #'ed 5/5.  Throughout the day I opened a few more boxes of 2008 LCM and pulled a bunch of nice looking cards.  I knew it was going to be a good day when the first card I pulled was Brett Favre wearing a Jets shirt.

If there is one player that I hope does well this year in the NFL it would be Matt Forte.  I pulled three really nice cards of him: (1) 2008 LCM Jumbo jersey #'ed/599, (1) 2008 LCM Fabric of the Game 2 color patch #'ed/25, and (1) 2008 Bowman Sterling RC Auto #'ed/1050.  I purchased most of my boxes from the dealer near the back from Tennessee.  I got some really good deals from him.  It was his stand where I purchased two packs of 2008 Razor Cut Signature Edition.  That was the first time I saw any of these cards in person.  In the first pack I received a Yogi Berra Cut Signature numbered to 10 or less made and in the second pack I received a Faith Hill Cut Signature numbered to 10 or less made.  I really like these Razor Cut Signature cards.  Most of them are numbered to 10 or less which I think it pretty cool.  

Strolling past a small dealer I found a bunch of vintage cards in which I picked up a Jim Langer 1973 Topps RC for my Dolphins collection.  All day I was looking for an affordable 1886-87 Old Judge card.  I have been wanting to pick one up for awhile because they are some of the first mass produced baseball cards.  I came across one dealer that had a bunch of vintage cards that included some Old Judge.  I saw one for $110.00 and the dealer said he would sell it to me for $90.00.  It was in an SGC Authentic holder and I was about to buy it when he told me that it could possibly be trimmed.  As soon as I heard that, I knew I wasn't going to purchase it.  So, the search continues for an Old Judge card for my collection.  

I got Tom Herr to sign my bat around 1:00 p.m. and after about another hour of browsing I decided I was finished for the day.  These shows really remind you of what the hobby is all about.  People swapping stories, showing off their collections, and being able to find cards for your personal collection.  Attending a show like this really takes you into the "belly of the beast" and can help you understand whats going on in the hobby.  I thought it was a great show, and I hope to see most of the dealers at the next show in March.

For example, I might write a post about something like the release of 2.7 in November before it actually happens so that I can take my time writing the post and have it ready to go live when 2.7 officially releases. I can schedule the publish time for November 10th at whatever time the release is due to go out, and my post will remain unpublished until that time. If I'm on a plane or in a car or otherwise not online when 2.7 is released, my post will still go live at the time I scheduled it. Yay!

Inversely, sometimes you might not have time to write something until after the fact, but you want it to be timestamped with an earlier publication date/time. For example, I've known students who use this feature to post school assignments "by the due date" if they finish a few minutes or hours after a midnight deadline but before the professor checks the class blog in the morning.

If you haven't noticed or used this feature before, give it a try. When writing a new post, just above the Save and Publish buttons there is a small calendar icon and the words "Publish Immediately" followed by an "Edit" link. Clicking on the link will make the timestamp editable. Just change the date and/or time and click the OK button. If you choose a time in the future and then click on Publish, that's when the post will go live. If you click Save, the post will remain a draft until you Publish it, regardless of the edited timestamp. If you choose a time in the past and click Publish, go check out your archives and you'll find the post as if it had been there all along. Cool, right?

Now that you know how it works and how you can use it, maybe you can help us figure out how we can make this feature more obvious to new users, and what to call it. We're spiffing up the Publish module on the Write screen, and are trying to find the right words for this feature, since so many people miss it currently. A couple of developers and I went back and forth the other day suggesting different labels to try and make it clear (without taking up a lot of space) not only that you can schedule the publish time, but that you can edit the timestamp after a post has already been published. We came up with a few ideas, but thought this would be a good opportunity to get community input.

This will likely be a short one as I get ready to head to the home town and to see my play.

Listening to car talk and thinking about the trip. I think I will only be gone 24 hours. Since it is raining I won't likely get a lot of stuff to move back and forth, though I have thought about doing some shopping.

And like my typical scenario, I have no romantic interests (female paramour) and my libido is bouncing off the way. Only a couple times have I had romance and a play opening at the same time. It is frustrating.

Cartalk is a good distraction. I wonder if anyone has done any research about listening to laughter. A 'princess' once said: "I would rather have a belly laugh than go to an art museum." Not that the two have to be mutual exclusive.

Looks like Gary Sheffield might hit his 500th homerun this year. He has two games left and after hitting two yesterday, he has a good chance.

The Tigers have won a couple --- thanks part to Sheff.

I was talking to Capt. Kirk and was totally amazed he had never heard of George Orwell's '1984.' I can understand a 9th grader has never read the novel, but I thought "Big Brother" was something everyone kind of knew --- past the age of 13.

Might turn on the Fire Place at the hometown for a little diversion.

27 has been kind of catchy of late, but I think that is relevant to the fact that related to stats in baseball. That is it is the time of year that quite a few players have 27 HRs or some other statistic. But there was another political reference, not to mention the play is on the 27th.

BRASÍLIA - O Ministério das Relações Exteriores classificou de preocupante a aprovação do Pacto Europeu sobre Imigração e Asilo, que endureceu ainda mais as regras para a entrada de imigrantes na União Europeia. Em nota, o Itamaraty afirmou que o documento pode abrir espaço para acções arbitrárias e nocivas aos direitos humanos. O pacto foi proposto pela França e aprovado na quinta-feira por um conselho de ministros de Interior dos 27 países do bloco.

Ele prevê a adopção de instrumentos mais rigorosos de controle nas fronteiras - como registos electrónicos de entrada e saída e um banco de dados com informações biométricas dos estrangeiros. My name is Michael Hansen. I have been a huge fan of yours for quite sometime now, since my freshman year of highschool in fact. It was then that I first saw the music video for Doesn’t Really Matter. To say it changed my life would be an understatement. It changed my world. As soon as I had enough money saved I went right out and bought the CD (It was on All For You, incase you forgot). I had to keep it hidden from my mom because, at the time, she was pretty convinced only homosexuals and Satanist listened to your music. Since that time I have collected all of your CDs (I know almost all the words to all the songs) and I’ve hung posters from various decades of your career around my room.

I wasn’t allowed to attend your 2001 ‘All For You Tour’ as I was in religious school. My mother didn’t really understand what you were all about, but was aware some of your songs featured lyrics about lady parts and fornication. As you were raised in a staunchly religious family yourself Miss Jackson, you know all to well how the Lord frowns on talk of the vagina and intercourse. There is nothing the Lord hates more than intercourse except when people sing about it in a lighthearted, careless manner. “There is nothing lighthearted about intercourse!” I was always told. It was a very serious subject matter, such as quantum physics and embryonic stem cell research, something only people with a degree in something should experiment with. One should not offer up one’s lady bits like a dish at a potluck to be passed around to whoever should wish to have a piece. Still, however, disappointed, I vowed to make sure I would not miss your next tour.

Flash forward almost seven years later I have no qualms about listening to such lyrics. In fact, everything my parents tried to shelter me from as a youth has become what I thrive on, including raunchy sex lyrics set to a catchy R&B beat. I’m openly homosexual (despite growing up to learn we all die of aids and syphilis) and nearly positive that it was the constant sheltering from any and all female sexuality during my youth that caused me to become so. I didn’t see a nipple until we got the internet at age seventeen, but by then it was already too late. The ground work for a future gay bar patron had already been laid. As a gay, however, I have a much deeper appreciation for your music. The gays tend to glorify things the rest of society may deem crap (sort of like your last CD, am I right! Did you even TRY, Janet?)

I wish this letter could be nothing but doting and salutations of my love for you Miss Jackson, but I digress, this letter is written with a heavy heart. Why, less than twenty four hours before your Detroit show was to kick off, I receive word that you have postponed the show an entire month with no explanation given; none other than ‘production constraints.’ Now here’s the part where I’m going to tear your ass a new one.

Some of us out here invested good money in tickets to see your ass dance around on stage for two hours. Some of us paid $40.00 to join your fuck damn stupid fan club that offered no real benefits, no fan poster or t-shirt, just the opportunity for us to buy tickets three days before everyone else could; it left me feeling far from an elitist. Tickets that cost over $150.00 a piece mind you, not including the convenience fee! NOT INCLUDING THE CONVENIENCE FEE JANET! There was a $12.00 Convenience Fee! Not all of your fans are millionaires! I don’t even have a goddamned job. Don’t even ask what irreprehensible things I had to do to scrape together enough cash to buy these tickets. I feel as a loyal, multi-year fan who has followed you from record label to record label, who spent a large sum of money in hopes of seeing you tomorrow that I may, perhaps, deserve more of an explanation as to why you have postponed your show; an explanation other than ‘production constraints.’ Nobody even knows what that means. I’ve waited seven years!

We all know you just dumped Def Jam Records, blaming them for not promoting your CD. One has to ask, of course: Didn’t you just leave Virgin Records for the same reason Janet? Didn’t you? You know at some point one has to stop pointing the finger and ponder for a minute. Perhaps people are just sick of CD after CD after CD of you singing about sex, masturbation and your clitoris! I got tired of hearing about you masturbate in 2005! Frankly, I’m worried that thing is just going to swell up and fall off. It simply cannot be healthy for you! If your everyday life is anything like some of the tracks you put together, well, to be frank, I wonder how you ever get anything accomplished throughout the day. Should we meet fret not that I would deny the opportunity to shake your hand, I’ve practically worshiped you for the past seven years, but don’t be offended if briefly thereafter you see me reach for a bottle of Purrel. I have a pretty good idea where those hands have been all day.

I guess I’m simply writing this to express how disappointed I am that I have to wait another month to see you. I was pretty psyched about tomorrow, but I suppose after waiting seven years a few more weeks can’t hurt. I am, and most likely (until you off someone in a Land Rover like Brandy) always will be a very huge fan of yours. I just hope that by the time your entourage finally pulls into town that I’m still six feet above ground.

Embora a Operação Guanabara tenha sido criada pelo Tribunal Regional Eleitoral (TRE) para combater crimes eleitorais e não para exercer atividades na área de segurança pública, o porta-voz do Exército, coronel André Luiz Novaes, informou que “sempre que houver algum ilícito” os militares vão intervir.

“A operação não é de segurança pública, [o Exército] está ali para dar segurança ao processo eleitoral. Mas, nos casos em que houver um tipo de ilícito como esse, uso de droga, alguém armado, alguém ameaçando, nós vamos agir como agimos hoje”, garantiu Novaes.

O coronel explicou que, segundo a lei, qualquer pessoa pode intervir no caso de flagrante delito, inclusive, os militares. “Independentemente do objetivo da operação, de haver ou não operação, se acontecer um ilícito na frente de militares, eles vão intervir como aconteceu hoje”.

De acordo com o porta-voz, as duas pessoas detidas na manhã de hoje em Amarelinho estavam com morteiros sinalizadores, "os mesmos utilizados pelo tráfico para anunciar a chegada da polícia, de força legais”.

As comunidades de Amarelinho e Acari foram ocupadas ontem (25) pelos militares, que amanhã (27) devem deixar a área. Hoje as tropas vão sair das comunidades de Lixão e Gramacho, no município de Duque de Caxias.

Na próxima semana, a Operação Guanabara segue para as comunidades do Morro do Salgueiro, em São Gonçalo, e do Complexo do Alemão, e para a Vila Cruzeiro, na zona norte da capital.

Hice este script, por que esta técnica la vengo utilizando desde hace tiempos, lo que hago es usar la librería zlib de php para comprimir el código, en el post de mañana explicare bien el método, por ahora los dejo con el script.

Bienvenido a CSSZIP

Este script es muy básico, en el cual mezclamos MODREWRITE y la librería ZLIB de php
Lo único que necesitas como requisito, es tener:

1)Php
2)La librería ZLIB
3)El MODREWRITE activado

El script comprueba si existe la librería zlib, en el caso de que no exista, no genera error,
simplemente no comprimirá nada.

Lo primero es copiar el contenido de el archivo .ZIP en la carpeta donde van los css.
son 2 archivos, uno llamado motor.php, y el otro es .htaccess y listo!, el zlib estara
funcionando.

Después de haber copiado los dos archivos en la carpeta de los .css el mismo script se
activa solo y cada vez que soliciten el archivo .css, el script lo comprimirá. vamos a ver
un ejemplo:

Tengo el archivo "ejemplo.css", que viene incluido en la carpeta del CSSZIP, sin comprimir el
archivo pesa 11.28 Kb, y después de insertar los dos archivos en la carpeta queda pesando: 3.06 Kb

When I was younger, I had this morbid delusion that I'm going to die at the age of 27 like my favorite artists: Cobain, Hendrix, and Morrison. Well waddya know, I just turned 30 this september and I don't mind living 30, 60 or 90 more years anymore. Just 9 years ago, I was depressed as hell and taking the easy way out could've been a no-brainer.

Ah, we grow old. We mellow and become adults late in life.  Angst, sadness, dreams of suicide, anger. Those were my muses back then. Nowadays they call it emo. I call it an MTV-inspired put-on, and I'm (luckily) too old for that crap just as I'm too old to join the Forever 27 Club.

I'm also happy to hit the 30,000 mark for this blog. Playpen is roughly Four and a half months old in the blogosphere and from my first post I believed it would be consigned to obscurity although I silently nursed hopes to the contrary. When I started, I was not even familiar with blogging terms like SEO, spidering, Social Bookmarking, etc. but I hit the ground running and eventually turned this blog into one big experiment. I learned how things work but I learned little in the way of making them work in my favor. Did I learn much SEO-wise? not much. I don't even know how to write code or css if my life depended on it. I guess it all boils down to luck - and timing.

I just hope I'm not 100 years old by the time Playpen hits 100,000 hits. Hehehe

'The Large Hadron Collider near Geneva will be shut off until Spring 2009 while engineers probe a magnet failure.

The incident on 19 September caused a tonne of liquid helium to leak out into the experiment's 27km-long tunnel.

Officials said the time required to fully investigate the problem precluded a re-start before the lab's winter maintenance period.

The collider is built to smash protons together at huge speeds, recreating conditions moments after the Big Bang.

Scientists hope it will shed light on fundamental questions in physics.

"Coming immediately after the very successful start of LHC operation on 10 September, this is undoubtedly a psychological blow," said Robert Aymar, director-general of the European Organization for Nuclear Research (Cern), in a statement.

But he praised the skill and preparation of the teams involved in building the particle accelerator.

The problem occurred last weekend, when a failure, known as a quench, caused around 100 of the LHC's super-cooled magnets to heat up by as much as 100 degrees.

The fire brigade were called out after a tonne of liquid helium leaked into the tunnel, which straddles the French-Swiss border.

The machine has more than 1,200 "dipole" magnets arranged end-to-end in an underground tunnel that runs in a circle for 27km.

These magnets carry and steer the proton beams which will whizz around the machine at close to the speed of light'

My Opinion:

After reading this story, I am utterly shocked. The scientists behind this multi-billion experiment claimed that everything had and would run smoothly.

In my opinion, this is an incredible waste of money. This money could have been used for many better things, not just a large experiment that has already failed.

I have to say one thing though: It would have been fun to be in the area with all that helium. High pitched squirrel voices! Woot!
